I have survived almost 2 years without anime before. Prior to this break, I used to binge watch many series, so watching anime quickly became a boring routine. However, since last year, I have gotten back into watching anime, thanks to new acquaintances who also like anime.

I could survive the rest of my lfie without anime since I could try any other mediums. Anime is my favorite one so it would be really annoying, though.

I think its possible for me because either way don't have much time to watch anime anymore. I might be able to go for a few months but not a full year lol. There are a lot of things I could do in my free time other than anime. But it would be hard because anime is my favorite pastime.

you shouldn't be too obsessed with anime, just think of it as a form of entertainment, so yes. I can survive however long it is without anime since my life isn't centered around anime
just a weeb wandering around.

Yea I think stayed without watching it for more than a week many times. So not tough enough a challenge. But a month would definitely put me on a spot of bother because as of now this is my best source of entertainment.

Maybe try sleeping?

I can survive an entire year without anime.

I've been on year long hiatus breaks before.

Just depends on how busy my life gets.

Same, I had even several years without watching anime in the past.

Not being able to live without anime for over a week means that a person is addicted to it, basically.

I could last more than a year without anime, but I wouldn't survive a month without any shows (non-anime) to watch. This is coming from someone whose main form of entertainment to watch is anime, but there are many shows out there that aren't anime that is a 9-10/10 in my book. The last time I watched a non-anime show was back in October 2020 in where I stopped watching anime for that entire month because I had no motivation to watch anime and the show I was watching was also really good (Peaky Blinders).

If you can't survive a week without anime, that's probably unhealthy.

Yes, obviously. I mean like Anime is not the world, so we should survive one or two weeks without it. Moreover, one week it's not that long. :)

I've had breaks over a year and it's completely normal for me to have breaks of week or over. Watching anime is just entertainment, I have a lot of more important things to do.

I went on holiday last August for a week and managed without anime, although the following week i had a shit ton of seasonal shows to catch up on, took me a while to get fully caught up again.

But it was fine, sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that. The absence of something can make you appreciate it all the more when it comes back.

I just got over a two year break from Anime a few months ago so its actually quite easy.
Just get really busy with school or work and you'll find that you have really less time for your entertainment.

I gotta say, that's probably not healthy.

Anyway, such a thing isn't hard at all for me. Anime isn't something so amazing that I need to be watching it all the time. Its literally just another form of entertainment.

i've gone months without anime, you need to find other hobbies
"I like young-girl sexual creations, Lolicon is just one hobby of my many hobbies," he says.
I ask what his wife, standing nearby, thinks of his "hobby".
"She probably thinks no problem," he replies. "Because she loves young boys sexually interacting with each other."

Yeah lots of other things I can do in my free time. I regularly take week breaks from anime which helps avoid burnout. Also I hope your first comment was a joke otherwise you got a serious addiction and you might want to seek help for that.

Very much so. Probably a month or longer too but it's refreshing to watch/read manga/anime so I would never force myself to go a week without it. Last week I don't know if I watched anything other than the airing Yuru Camp episode anyway.

Can, have, will again. I go through "anime phases" to where it'll be all I watch for awhile, and then I won't watch it for months.

I hope that when u lose this drive for anime and the day comes when u will be watching 1 ep. a day, or even 1 a week, u will realize that u didn't burn out, but u returned to normal. Just like me. :P

Watching like crazy isn't good. :P

That's easy. Even if i don't watch any anime i still have many other options like manga, light novels and video games. I also can listen to music, draw something, or consume hentai (even without animated hentai i can still read doujins, listen to asmr or fap to cosplayers) so yeah it's not a challenge at all
