| I like high ceilings so Kyouya's (Ouran High School Host Club) room seems nice. I also like Miyako's (Wataten) room but only because Hinata is there. I'm so jealous( |
| The rooms in anime by shaft always caught my attention with how extra spacious they look. Especially Kunagisa's room from Zaregoto. It looks cool, but I wouldn't want to have a room like that though, feels too empty for me. |

The film Mirai no Mirai takes place mainly a residential house. The director, Mamoru Hosoda, hired a fantastic young Japanese architect to design the house which resulted in probably the best/only? anime and architecture collaboration that I have seen. From the choice of the furniture to the books on the shelf, and even the computer program that the architect father uses are details that add so much 'realism.' And of course this small courtyard with a tree is spectacular.  |

Thank you, @Catalano, for helping me indulge the amateur architect in me. @ysphyr: If you like high ceilings I wonder whether you'd enjoy Plastic Memories's lofted apartment:     For some reason, this one stands out to me, even though it's not exactly my style. I even decided to incorporate a design closely inspired by this into a fictional setting I made up. I have a ton more screencaps of this apartment that I just now took. That sloped ceiling and that skylight really make this stand out. My only qualm is that there's no window looking directly outside, or at least I haven't seen one yet. @cythraul: I appreciate the level of detail on the "grunginess" in that Mawaru Penguindrum screencap. @HeruruMeruru: Are those supposed to be the same room? @Anime_User: Doesn't Homura actually have a bedroom that looks like a regular room? I remember her working with explosives at her desk.
