Even youkai monsters have their goal to find work in Japan.

Well this was a weird episode if you consider his circumstances.

So that WAS Sugita-san (Gintama) voicing Chin**!

Sad to say most countries treat foreign workers like scum. (Embarrasingly, my country does too.) So this episode really hit serious points on the conditions of foreign workers -- temp or not.

So the message in this episode is about foriegn worker being exploited by big companies. I'm actually glad I work for a company that treats all worker the same. Like machines at times granted but at the same time they treat us well and pay the same.

Another episode with an important social commentary, it is no secret foreign workers tend to be exploited in Japan but the same can be said around the world unfortunately. It is a shame we never got to hear his real name, for some reason there was something loud going by when he was about to say it.

I don't really understand this Paulo guy. His dream was to study in his own country. For this he needs to pay the tuition fees, so he decided to come to Japan and work there.
Why doesn't he work in his home-country in the first place (or in any less-nationalist country) ?

So Mana wanted to know Chin-san's real name - it was E. Normus Johnson, aka Big Johnson...

("When you're going deep in the bush, it pays to have a Big Johnson"... )

The deal with Chin-san's real name was kind of funny, and I loved that advertisement which used the OP's melody. lol But the kind of abuse he, Paulo, and the other foreigners went through wasn't anything to laugh at. That xenophobic boss, and those xenophobic coworkers were the worst. Kitarou showed up just in time to save the worst out of the bunch from being punched too, and It's frustrating. But Mana was right when she said that Chin-san shouldn't resort to violence. But then again, what was he supposed to do? At least that warehouse was closed so I believe that man is paying for his crimes like he should. Here's hoping Chin-san is treated with respect at his next job.

Neko Musume is afraid of "chin", she better work on that.

Her reactions were pretty funny.
