| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- We got Lord El-Melloi II arriving at the mansion with his apprentice. Not only that but one of the guests managed to get trapped on arrival. This episode also seems to make Lord El-Melloi II remember his own promise about trying to get back to the Holy Grail War. Really interesting to see Kairi show up in this show. I wasn't expecting that but he's still a badass as I remember. |

| So we have Waver Velvet and Gray going off to a mansion with him doing some detective work. Overall, not a bad episode. Waver Velvet still wants to participate in the Holy Grail War. Nice to see Kairi Shishigou making an appearance in this episode. |

| Great episode its 2part case this time. Waver accept the case of the death of grand necromancer. Gray and Reines dynamic this episode is nice, and that maid is good too. Go Lion cameo this episode is amazing. And that after credits another is killed? To the next episode. |

| Much, much better. Said it twice before and now I know I'm right. Taking things slower and splitting up the arcs makes things flow much better. Seeing Shishigou is amazing. He and Moerdred were the best parts of Apocrypha. Shame we won't see her though/ |

| This mystery is interesting, I only wish they stop it with the magical terms we hardly know. It makes it harder to understand. They should at least explain them or use them to the minimum. But I doubt Blondie killed his father though, Adashino is just tripping. |

| Reines teasing Waver was hilarious. I'm really liking her character so far. Definitely more than I originally expected, which is nice. So there actually was a chance for Waver to take part in the 5th. HGW, uh? Honestly, I'm glad he didn't since he wouldn't have lasted long. Overall, it was another enjoyable episode. Seeing Kairi again sure was a surprise but a pretty pleasant one. It's nice to know he still looks and acts as badass as always, easily one of the few characters I truly liked from Apocrypha. Other than that, the case seems interesting enough as well so I'm really looking forward to seeing its resolution next week. |
| Gonna assume Kairi's an anime-exclusive character at least for the current mystery Waver and the gang are tackling. Continuity-wise, Fate/ Apocrypha's set in an alternate timeline from Stay Night and Kairi's not present in the Stay Night timeline for other source material from what I gather. |

| Don't really know what to think about bringing chracters back from Apocrypha when it was so bad and forgettable series.. but well, at least he was probably one of the best characters out there. Other than that, this was pretty solid episode with nice atmosphere, almost like Hound of Baskerville's one. And even Reines finally got into spotlight, with some interesting developements (I also like how Minase is playing her with her smug voice). Nice enough mystery going on and I only hope the following resolution would be as good as this part. Sidenote: they really like their whodunit and howdunit words, eh? Maybe way too much, probably don't even know the correct way of using them. |
| Good episode. I liked this one the best so far. Feels like a pretty well developed mystery compared to the last two. Fairies, huh? I feel like that's going to be the defining theme of 2010s anime in retrospect. Fate is going after that Ancient Magus Bride money with this anime lol |

| Seeing Bazett and Kairi here is an unexpected surprise. Their appearance probably indicates this show takes place prior to Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Apocrypha. Unless, of course, there's the whole multiverse aspect which I'm still not familiar with. I gotta say, though, a lot of mages here seems to have Mystic Eyes for some reason. Thought it'd be a power unique to Shiki. Also, a nod to the Wild Hunt? Waver doing supernatural investigations like what Geralt does? These Witcher 3 references make me grin lol. |

If I remember correctly, Fate/Apocrypha is a 'what if' story if the other two never occured. Also lol, completely forgot that a few other characters also had Mystic Eyes. Been nearly ten years since I've watched the Kara no Kyoukai movies. |
