 A press conference was held on Thursday for Carole & Tuesday TV anime has announced cast members and theme song performers. The opening theme song "Kiss Me" will be performed by singing voices of Carole and Tuesday, who are the winners of the 2018 global singers audition. There is no information yet about who will be performing ending theme song "Hold Me Now." The anime will air on Thursdays at 12:55 a.m. via Fuji TV's +Ultra timeslot, as well as Kansai TV, Toukai TV, TV Nishinippon, Hokkaido Bunka Housou, and BS Fuji starting April 11 for a total of two cours. | Solid cast members! Seeing Kana Ichinose, Hiroshi Kamiya, Mamoru Miyano and of course the genius Shinichiro Watanabe is more than enough to convince me that, hopefully Bones will give us a ground-breaking original show here! I really like how the winners of the 2018 global singers audition are a part of this too, they’ll most likely be around for the English dialogues/singing, or so I hope, so Engrish-haters will have one less worry. Looking forward to this even more now and I hope we get more than a cour of episodes too, at least a couple and ending in the Summer ‘19 Season, since Boku no Hero Academia, Bones next project will air in Fall ‘19(if I’m not mistaken, that is). PV looks stunning too and the winners of the 2018 Global Singers sound amazing! Animation is top-notch too, can't wait for this! |

| Definitely pretty excited for this one, hopefully the melodrama doesn't end up overtaking the series but I generally have faith in this director, zankyo no terror was just only real flop in my book and even then that was greatly counteracted by space dandy which was around the same time anyway. |

Watanabe also made Cowboy Bebop which was heavily influenced by the West and that came out in 1998. It isn't surprising he is doing something like this again. Kids on the Slope also took place in Japan but was about Jazz music and one of the characters was biracial and Christian. I haven't seen Samurai Champloo yet but I think its pretty obvious Watanabe likes aspects of Western culture. Also I am confused how this is more West inspired than your average anime. You have Gosick and Fate both rated highly which both draw from Western culture as did AOT, Death Note has heavy Christian symbolism, SAO draws from Western fantasy and Made in Abyss also has some Western influences and the composer who is Australian wrote one of the best anime soundtracks of all time. You also gave TPN a 7 which also again has a Western setting. |

I am also someone who dislikes overt political messages but I don't know what messed up mindset where you watch the PV and see that lol. Carol and Tuesday just looks like a music anime in an interesting setting. The themes at most will be about individuality from just looking at the premise rather than anything actually overtly political. |

| Looks unnaturally "perfect," which just gives me deja vu of Violet Evergarden. Watanabe post-Kids on the Slope just seems entirely too concerned with emulating rather than creating. But since he's attached, everyone and their mom will check it out (including me). As long as the screenplay is better written than Zankyou no Terror, it should be fun to watch. |
