Ah, so they went with full on action with the usual edgy gimmicks for the finale. Shit was happening all over the place and I have to say it was a big disappointment leading up to this point of the story.

Incredibly stale story and predictable ending. It looks like the finale featured Chihiro and Yuri facing their problems together (although Chihiro also takes action into his own hands)

Damn this show is really ask for a beating, not that I cared that much in the first place.

I thought that the past 11 episodes were meh, but with the final episode I call "Baa Baa black sheep". Truly a glorious and unworthy sight to behold.

Guess now that Chihiro and Yuri are back again...not just as a hidden relationship but for the better of mankind.

What an epic fail this travesty is.

Wow, this was a complete trainwreck from the beginning till the end. This episode was absolutely hilarious (especially the parts with Yuri's dad going craycray). If the series would had been that hilariously bad since the first episode, it may have even been the comedy of the season. They even throw some sequel hook at the end with tattoo boy about to rape blonde bishie. I just cannot.

This show was abysmal. Somehow the Ragnarok anime was even worse but in any other fucking season, this would easily win worst show of the season.

That finale was pathetic and too predictable.

Why didnt most of the characters die like in the prologue?

What is Dux and why does she care about of this?

Why didnt Yuri die?

Why do we know nothing about the tattoo guy?

Who is the main villain's wife and why didnt we see her ?

The characters are being from another dimension since the prologue is a flashback from another reality that they apparently came from, so why is this not brought up they are not actually humans or from Earth either?

What a terrible show

I kept going with this show 'cause I wanted some nice couple shit, but even though I did like Yuri and Chihiro moments in the middle of the series, the whole thing went so bad, neither my weak for romance could endure this shit.

The real couple and MVPs for this is Kotetsu and Tsubaki.
Koume was a really nice character, though, she made me give a better score for this...

Why the fuck did they tease another cour at the very end? Do I need to watch 12 more eps of this torture? Why me? I hated but loved this show. Even though it has no good points, and only bad, I kept watching to see the how it ends. Nothing made sense, and almost no characters mattered. But here I am, 7/10 for watchability not being that bad.

Dux with the frame-perfect teleportation!

I gotta admit, Aoi Yuuki's voice acting makes Koume that more awesome of a character.

CHIHIRO HAS CHANGED!

TWO MINUTES LATER!

Uhh...did Yuri lose her blood armament at the end after Chihiro sacrificed himself to close the gate? So how the hell did she land on the ground safely?

After a tough fight, the survivors come together to Chihiro's old house aka the lab where they seem to be living together and looking for a way to revive the stone fragments of those who were killed...Meanwhile, the Guardian State are still hunting monsters and the hooded tattoo guy is still around. What happens next? You'll have to play the game to find out!

So Lord of Vermilion. From episode one, you could easily tell that this was made on a super tight budget. And yet they were able to afford high-class voice actors for the characters. The animation was poor, the writing was terrible, the music and characters are pretty forgettable except Koume and Kark since they had some pretty nice designs and personalities. The only reason why I chose to watch this was because of the OP and ED. I want to say that I would have recommended this anime if someone wanted an anime where a guy sacrifices himself for the woman he loves to save the world, but the production value of this series is just bad. Sorry Asread. You're going to have to do better than this.

Final Verdict: Shaded Tears/10

This anime is ok. I like this anime becauce the opening and Chihiro himself. I like Chihiro because in first he hate killing people but that what need to be done so at the end he wont hesitate to do it. And i am not seeing many character like that. At least is not god awful as Darling in the Franxx season finale episode which is an absolute piece of shit. I am a cold guy so i am usually sad over tragic ending so i give a praise for this anime. overall it was 5/10 pretty ok

The show was badly executed but the potential was there.

The art, the music and general tone of the show was ok but they all didn't come together to make a good show, for example the relationship between Chihiro and Yuuri was actually interesting but their separation felt forced and somewhat without any logic, or some other characters like that smart ass tattoo guy and guardian group were introduced for the certain plot points but they didn't get any developments.

Overall i personally liked the show and ill gonna give it 8/10, it deserve a 6 but oh well.

Couldn't agree with this more. The concept was good, the animation was good, the artstyle was good, and the voice work was great, but the execution was really off. This show was..... alright.
Needless to say, you won't hear people telling their friends years from now to watch Lord of Vermilion, that's for sure.

It's based on a game, so you're going to have to play it to find out...that is if it's story is the same as the anime. I dunno...

Oh I see the gimmick now, "play the game to find out" now its peeked my interest i'll have to look into it, maybe a good excuse to get a ps vita unless its multiplatform and in english, Now I wonder what other shows on my list were just fancy 12 episode game pushers

So Chihiro finally killed Kark, I guess he now has really killed someone. Shiraki, being kicked into the gate by that tattooed guy to meet with Mitsuki was hilarious. Speaking of the tattooed guy, we never knew anything about him let alone fight in the rest of the series, and it seems like he's the real villain judging by the end credits when he showed behind those organization guys.

We still don't know Chihiro's fate, did he die in that sacrifice as the lord of vermilion?? I must say this anime was plot holed from the start. We never got the full story on opening of the gate and those heroic things. Mitsuki if she is alive or not? The defenders? If Ikuro was saved or not?? Also I felt Cerdid was underwhelmed in the series only to be finally stupidly killed by Yuri. Dux wasn't explained of what she is.

This series sucked and is one of the worst of the season, and it settled with cheap tragic romance to entice stupid viewers. It didn't focus on the good stuff which was the plot and the MC seems to confused sometimes.

from 5 to 4/10.

yeah i do think so, they just can't manage to fit the plot in 12 eps series, and i also hoping him to comeback too, althought the chance for sequel is almost impossible.

At first i had interested in it, and decided to give it try, well from the early toward mid episodes is great i thought. but i felt that it becoming worse toward the end.

The big picture that i can elaborate is the 1st episodes is the conclusion of what happen in maybe "another universe" that been played in that deus ex hands(dux), and knowing that chihiro tried to change it in the current universe based on the picture he got from dux, well i saw many kinds of this "thing" in many sources ( movie, book, novel, series, manga, and anime itself), and i think it was a good theme for this series.

the downfall came in few last episodes, i think the overall story couldn't fit the current 12-episodes series. I could see a lot of plothole, jumbled story, and instant emotion changed toward the end of story.

and finally, just a subjective thing for me for the last episode, i am hoping actually that he(chihiro) change the fate of universe with a better/another way, not leaving yuri and few of his friends, or maybe a little bit better if it end with the way 1st episodes conclude (all of them were dead :D).

actually the few seconds scenes in the end gave a little hope, about what that the pair of students ( i forgot what faction they are), and the suspicious tatooed man that never joined in any battle, hoping for a "sequel" where chihiro might be still alive and come back again.

Overall i still enjoyed it,even with few bad management in plot and development
7/10 for me :))

A huge clusterfuck from Start to End the least the producers could give its audience is a happy ending but fking no. The only thing good is the op and ed It felt like I watched a huge plotless PV. I don't even know how you could screw this up so much there was no story. Even School days is somewhat better.

Late to the party, but ...

The worst show I've ever seen. With a Square Enix branding on it - I'm surprised they haven't pulled it from every network offering it and removed it from the annals of history; That's how bad this anime was. Absolutely cringe from start to finish.

The main character was an immature crybaby that simply made nothing but childish whimsical wails of garbage from start to finish. Enough plot presented to the characters that they're all just truly mentally challenged for not having prevented half of the pointless killings offs and repeated back and forth. The play on the whole "I refuse to do anything sensible because of my past" (mind you that we find out later on he couldn't even remember). The sheer nonsensical social beating he was given that honestly just cringe it was so misplaced an unrealistic. It took the first 3 episodes to get beyond simple screaming of names and "please just stop" before we finally got to any progression whatsoever. A whole lot of "we'll talk later" when it was clearly unrealistic not to explain things right away. Forced plot, forced devices, immature, immature, immature.

Bad writing. Period. But wait, I'm not done ranting...

Seriously, you are told that the lord of vermillion will usher in a new world - but to do so you must kill everyone and be the last one standing? You didn't realize you were a bad guy?

The other side, seriously, you're murdering innocent people to attack the people who are justifying killing everyone to be the last one standing for the sake of the future with your sensless murdering that will seemingly simply never cease; Meanwhile, your boss is planning to ultimately do the same thing they are doing, but only they are doing it because of what you are doing. You didn't realize you were the bad guy? Your boyfriend is on the side doing what he's doing because of what you're doing - you want to be with him? So you fight him? You want to save him and stop him from dying - so you're trying to kill him? "It's all your mother's fault." you tell him? Care to elaborate? Before everyone dies?

Guardians - seem to know the truth about the whole situation, including that these people are clueless, were assaulted by scouts the moment they woke up, and so are innocently following blindly; Care to elaborate?

Now at the end, we have pointless stupidity all over again. Main dies, so the girlfriend will live? You mean with bad guys still alive and kicking, now she's alone and likely to die - and she would have rather died with you than gotten killed mercilessly and alone. Real smart there buddy boy.

Meanwhile, wait, what was the point of all this?

Oh and wow...chiyu... you refuse to be the pawn of the man manipulating you; But because you're also half of the mother of the person in the group you were hurting, you're going to continue hurting them?

Don't get me started on Dux. She's the villain, but also the good guy, oh but also simply the observer who doesn't care how things turn out she'll just keep watching the theather over and over as it repeats time and again.

I think we were supposed to gather that this time, he sacrificed himself to save those who managed to survive, so the curtain is not being raised again by him at the very least; However, it doesn't mean that Yuri won't raise it again, or another character.

After all, there's the Dux equivalent for the Chaos side, the dude that we saw several times, and again at the end confronting guardian members; Who never got his death, nor claimed his win - followed by the "the end" that clearly tells us that the story wasn't over yet.

Jeeze, I mean I'd have to go on for an hour or two to really put a proper paraphrasing of all the stupidity together in a way that makes sense and truly shows just how immature and cringe this story was - it was a neat idea, but they failed horribly.

I might have done a better job ranting, than they did on the show; And that's being generous to them.
