It was an enjoyable episode. I like how Ash's men respect him even though they come from a diverse background, it's not like whites versus Asians versus blacks versus latinos, etc. his group is pretty diverse and it says a lot about him being a leader. Yes, I know there's a Chinese group and I'm sure there are groups that only recruit people within their ethnicity but Ash's (and Arthur's) group is pretty diverse. I think there's still a gang with black guys that was featured in the opening who hasn't made their appearance yet. I wonder when they'll show up?

I'm not a yaoi/BL/shounen-ai fan, although most are saying this is not really yaoi or whatever, but even I ship Ash and Eiji together. I usually shit on yaoi and yuri since they're usually over-the-top and their fans are just about as annoying as shounen fans or maybe even more but those elements aren't really highlighted in this series. Everything that's happening with the mafias, the banana fish drug, different ethnic gangs clashing and becoming allies, etc. is really interesting.

Surprised Ash was able to hack into the NYSE and manipulate Golzine's company. I want to see the other DONS and see if there's anyone more terrifying than Golzine. So far, I've only seen Yut Lung's father and Golzine. I'm sure Ash and Arthur are going to fight, they stabbed/killed Arthur's right-hand man on the train after all.

Best part of the episode: Max with a moustache.

Honestly this episode is probably my favourite for now. I felt for Ash, and those Eiji x Ash moments were too cute and heartwarming. Before that moment I was not into Ash's character that much, and I am still somewhat conflicted about him, but this episode was great.

The fuckover of Golzine was epic. And the buying of a condo so close.

Beautiful fuck you to everybody Ash Lynx.

This episode was so great. I love Ash and Eiji interactions. Also shit is getting serious and Ash is NOT playing. Time to get some revenge.

This was a refreshingly calm episode.... which makes me nervous as hell about what's next.

That being said, this show is absolutely brutal but I adore it.

After the intensity (albeit excellently executed intensity) of the last three or so episodes, I was about to get worried that this series would lose its penchant for nice characters and become so plot-driven and fast paced that it undermined a key element of what made the first few episodes so good.

It's really nice to see them slow down after a climactic arc and explore Ash and Eiji's psychologies and relationship in a more slice-of-lifey way.
And the directing of that last subway scene was perfection.

This is low-key becoming the series of the year if it keeps this up.

Where is the name GOOSE supposed to come from?

There's only one country in English that starts with O (Oman) and four in Japanese (Oman, Netherlands, Australia, Austria). Unless Dino thinks in Japanese and Ash sucks at geography by thinking Oman is in South East Asia, I am confused.

This is another case of Amazon mistranslating things. The acronym GOOSE originates from the initials of the five companies. The companies have subsidiaries in the Cayman Islands, Panama, the Bahamas, and other tax havens.

It's alright to open up to someone very close to us and not take the burden all to ourselfs. If we feel like to cry, we should just let it out. It's just what happened to Ash and his nightmare :/ I can tell he must feel very scared of loosing another dear friend. It's understanding.

It's nice to rest and relax when there's much tension in every single episode. I personaly loved this episode :D The comedy was very funny and the bond between Ash and Eiji is growing deeper and deeper. Their relationship as friends is growing stronger ^^ It was a very sweet moment <3

Oh, I really liked this episode. Ash got more development and the time he spent with Eiji was both sweet and emotive. I just loved the whole scene where he broke down in tears and was comforted by Eiji. It was nice to see something heartwarming like this among so much death and anguish, being honest.

The last minutes where Ash explained that huge blow he gave to Golzine was just great. Not to mention that his new base is basically located under Golzine's nose, Ash has balls for sure.

And also, Golzine giving Arthur full authority over his men like... you sure? But well, since I hate them both, he can screw himself up as much as he wants.

This episode was much more chill than what we’re used to.

Eiji and Ash spend a lot of time together, opening up and getting to know each other more. I loved the story Ash told about the pumpkin xD and I love how Eiji and Ash are steadily growing closer. Ash needs a shoulder to cry on every once and a while.

I also liked Ash and Max’s father son get up lol. I think he makes a better father than Ash’s real dad any day.

I thought it was great that Ash managed to steal all of Dino’s money. And he bought a great condo with it too. This way he and Eiji can lay low for a while.

Looks like they’re gonna have to deal with Arthur soon.

At least somewhat if a wholesome episode, after the roller coaster we've been through, it was pretty nice to see Ash crack some genuine smiles during the episode, it was really just like Max said, Ash only feels like a kid when he is with Eiji, two young boys sharing more than what appears on the surface, please don't have it goes too far from being a normal bromance.
Time for war Arthur, you better be ready.

I'm kinda glad that this episode is not too tragic than the other episodes or I will lost my mind. Also glad to see Ash x Eiji and saw some cute Ash moments lol. I actually sort of agreed with Max how Eiji might be Ash's achilles heel but nevertheless, this is a nice episode

I do wonder what Eiji's parents are thinking back in Japan. Oh my son is going on a refreshment trip to US, here and there helping take photos for a colleague.

Instead he got caught up in gangs, international mafia schemes, illegal drugs, gunfights, torture and murder.

This was so important to me. Male rape, child pornography, PTSD & war trauma are all completely avoidable tragedies that so many people are experiencing right now, somewhere in this world. Banana Fish is screaming out to its audience that it is okay to be vulnerable; it's okay to let people in on your miseries. In fact, that might be the only way to cure them.

One of the best episodes of the anime so far and one of the best I've ever seen.
After all the the tragic events that happened, finally some time for Ash and Eiji, finally Ash can free himself from all the pain.
Eiji holding him, their words, it was all moving, I loved it.

Also, now Arthur is an asshole and I bet he'll make another mess in the next episode.

I'm going to love this revenge tour if every episode we see ash picking people off.

as for ash and eiji opening up to each other and becoming closer? Meh, whatever. I'm here for the crime thriller aspect of the show. I generally dislike the overly (and imo, unnecessarily) emotional scenes, no matter what the genre/show is.

Lastly, it feels like we're only a couple episodes away from getting some finality to the golzine/banana fish storyline. but we're slightly less than halfway through the series, so I wonder what all is yet to happen...

What a befitting episode title — the beautiful and damned

Ash deserves better. I can’t stress that enough. He deserves all the good things & happiness. His world is so cruel to him (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)
That was such a tender moment that he and Eiji shared. Ash really opened up to him. I’m glad they have each other. I’m glad they can now hideout in a 8million condo.

Stay by my side. It doesn’t have to be forever. Even if it’s just for now.

but i’ll probably remember over and over again

THANK YOU YUUMA UCHIDA FOR BEING ASH'S VOICE ACTOR I was so blown away by his performance in this episode. God the emotions I felt.

Can you believe Ash and Eiji invented LOVE???

On a more serious note, I am wondering why a certain line didn't make it through??? Like the whole impact of that scene was closed out because of that line...... and it's also in the opening??? Are they saving it for later?
