I put alot of emphasis on voice acting in anime, and evaluate media by a stiff set of rules too long to briefly list here, making no exemptions for 'good ideas, good direction' or 'classics' if I don't think the main plot is well written, it's generally not getting a high score.
I decided to switch my scoring to the actual descriptors this site uses instead of comparing it against the average rating culture, thus adding +1 for you own understanding might be helpful
If you wish to go by my ratings for recommendations for watching shows, watch the ones rated 7 or higher, 6-5 if the concept interests you and consider 4 and below not worth watching.
