what did you do?
from what ages did it occur?
was it beneficial to you looking back?
or did you have a late rebellious phase (18-25+)?

No, I've never been rebellious. I don't think I ever had any phases, either, hm....

Oops, read the title incorrectly.

Yes, most of my parents offspring, myself included, went through a phase of being rebellious during the teen age years. I kind of grew out of it over time. And just settled down like good old fogies do.

Never been through one. Unless being a rude asshole to almost everyone at sch counts. I didn't cause trouble for my family though.

I am still an asshole just that I try to hide it better now.

Middle school was when I had my biggest rebellious phase, which I think is pretty standard. I had difficulty connecting with my peers, so I vented my frustration by acting out. If it wasn't for band, I probably would've gotten in a lot more trouble than I already did.

Late rebellious phase seems legit in my case, it's just that I finally realize that I need to fight for my life and not let others tells me other way. I don't want to start a fight but I surely like to see fighting as a sport.

I don't exactly call it "rebellious" but when I was 18 to 19, I don't take college seriously. I usually stop attending my subjects especially the minor subjets because I don't feel like it's necessary to study and pass those subjects. They're just a waste of time and money.

I do regret what I did back then. I disappointed my parents and lose their trust big time. But right now, even though I changed course and transferred to another university, I did my best to make up for my mistakes, at least. I finished college at the age of 24 and actively looking for a job.

During my rebellious phase, I usually end up arguing with my mother. Sometimes with my sister and embarrassingly to our maid. My rebellious phase started when I was 12 or 13 I think and I stopped when I was 20 or 21. It's not really beneficial because I'm aware I was spouting nonsense during those times.

ooh yes, i usually didn't give a shit about school or anything that had to do with it and i used to be very rude to other kids and teachers. i think it was when i was 10-12 and stopped when i was 14-15. i really regret it though cause i'm pretty sure everyone i knew from that time hates me and i just ended up with a lot more personal problems. ://

I had a late phase in my 2nd year of university, not attending some subjects, not taking the whole thing very seriously

was very beneficial to me, I do not regret this phase, it changed me to who I am and I am content with my present self

I'm sure there are still phases to go that'll help me discover myself better and have an even better view of the world

I had the phase during my teens, was too much of a coward to actually go through with it in person so I just acted like a bit of an asshole online. The only things it really proved or taught me are that you'll end up a lonely, bitter, miserable human being by your late 20s if you don't shape up.

Got heavy into rap and started flirting with the gang life between 13-15 years old. I used to hang out with Bloods and pulled stupid stunts with them. I never did join them though. Very thankful for that as I may not be alive if I had gone all in. Even the Crips I knew just saw me as an outside observer that liked to raise hell.

Now I watch anime about cute girls and cuddle with my waifu pillows. Very strange, that journey through life.

Nope.

I wasn't a goody-two-shoes or anything....but I was just painfully average.

I never did drugs or have sex or anything crazy as a teenager.

did you have a rebellious phase growing up?

Yes.

what did you do?

Not call my Mom when I was supposed to; take "tantrums" whenever I didn't get my way; stay out with my friends longer than I should; not come home immediately after school, et cetera.

from what ages did it occur?

I was "rebellious" through Grade School (1-6) all the way up to Junior High/High School (7-12), so you tell me.

was it beneficial to you looking back?

No, not really.

Of course I did, I was a hardcore catholic as a kid so it was only natural that I became a hardcore anarchist as a teen.

what did you do?
A lot of shit that I don't think my parents ever heard about; breaking windows, throwing molotovs, getting into knife fights, making IED's and giving them away as candy, that sort of edgy anarchist shit.

from what ages did it occur?
Started when I was 14 and died completely when I became 19

was it beneficial to you looking back?
Yes, I hate hardcore leftists as much as hardcore right-wingers because of it.

or did you have a late rebellious phase (18-25+)?
There was this brief period where I came very close at being a nazi because "muh jewish establishment" but I would actually call that an early rebellious phase as it happened when I was like 13.

Oh, when I was 15 - 18, I would dress like a goth and read Nana to Kaoru a lot. I tried out some drugs, but that was it for me. The most "rebellious" memory I have is when I was 13 and told my father I was gonna become a vegetarian, and he got aggressive and forced me to eat meat. The story is longer, but it doesnt matter, you get what I mean.

Mine started when I was 13 and ended the following year. Used to carve anarchy signs and pentagrams into desks and doors at the Anglican school I attended and would skip assemblies and the like regularly. Also used to listen to bands like Bullet for my Valentine and Suicide Silence since it made me feel edgy and badass and was just an all around edgelord. In retrospect I was cringey as hell.

Not really, I was a major dick when I was 10 to 11, I only acted like I did because I wasn't sure where I fit in and my peers seemed to love it when I misbehaved in class, once I was 12 I figured out that I was shitty and that it wasn't who I wanted to be so I changed my behavior, I have not since returned to the dark side.

I was on a dance team. I fought with my parents, I misbehaved in class, I guess just general HS mischief. Though I did get expelled from school for fighting. Parents were pissed.

From what ages did it occur?
I'd say 14 to 17. I wasn't rebellious for long but I guess it's what you do in those years LOL.

Was it beneficial to you looking back?
Actually yeah. Getting expelled was probably the thing I needed the most. Happened right before my 16th birthday and it really got me thinking about the future, even if I didn't really start turning around until I was around 19.
Just need to find out how to quote this every time so I can dodge the stupid 30-character limit.

not really to an awful extent cause a lot of the people around me were taking it to the usual extreme and seeing how it affected their parents just made me not really want to deal with it.
the extent of my rebellious phase was getting my nose pierced when i was 15ish,
painting my nails black for a wedding when i was 15, and getting mildly drunk at said wedding.

was it beneficial? yes, expression is the most important thing when you're a teenager.

Oh maybe, maybe it's the clothes we wear
The tasteless bracelets and the dye in our hair
Or maybe, maybe it's our nowhere towns or our nothing places
But we're trash, you and me
We're the litter on the breeze
We're the lovers on the streets
Just trash, me and you
It's in everything we do
It's in everything we do

At age 16 or 17, I ran away from home for two weeks for some silly reason. It was probably the dumbest thing I've ever done in my life.

I was sorry, but I don't regret it. It's what made me see who my real friends are, and I wouldn't have known this particular person's true intentions if it didn't happen. I wouldn't have avoided him and things could have gone worse. I also got to realize how important family is, that no matter how much friends you have, it's family who will always be the last one standing fighting for you—at least in my case.

I've become more attached to my parents since. We still fight a lot but we never go to bed mad at one another.
