The most interesting aspect of this chapter for me was how Hide saw through Furuta and actively planned to stop him, rather than reacting to whatever it is Furuta does, which every other character was about to do before Hide's intervention. The reason everything follows Furuta's script is because he's the one making all the plays, and because he's good at reading people he knows how they're gonna react and plans accordingly. It almost happened again, the characters were about to divert all their attention towards the invasion rather than investigation, but they didn't in the end and that could prove crucial in stopping whatever it was Furuta needed time for.

That being said I'm not sure things are gonna go well for Kaneki and Ayato. They won't die but I don't know if they'll succeed. We'll see.

It was also nice to have the Clowns back, especially Itori and Uta. I sense a confrontation between Donato and Amon soon. It also feels like it's been a while since we got some Suzuya screentime, which is always good to see. And I really hope that was Eto at the end, that appearance really reminded me of her appearance at the Anteiku raid.

Hi people, I am not really active in the MAL's community however, I am a huge fan of the Tokyo ghoul series so I have been really curious about some questions(I am no expert in theories and stuff) and I have asked these few questions a few months back but no one has gave me an satisfying answer so here are the questions:

Q1: Wasn't Furuta and Kishou under 'V'? There was a chapter of both of them bowing to Kaiko which obviously state that Kaiko is higher ranked than both of them but here in the latest chapters, V seems to be doing the bidding of Furuta's? Yes, V betraying Furuta seems to be likely but as more and more chapters are released, it seems like Furuta is pulling all the strings? Example: Washuu clan assassinations etc etc. What happened to V's so called balance?

Q2: This is just a curious thing that has been stucked in my mind. The Washuu clan assassinations and V+Clown supposed alliance etc. All of these started right after Kishou's death. Did V+Clown use Kishou's death as an opportunity to start all of these? Yes, Kishou was considered a puppet of V and I do think that V will be able to get rid of Kishou if they wanted to however the timing seems to be too convenient in a sense that so many things happened right after kishou's death.

Side Note: Did the V agent targeted Take Hirako? When was Take Hirako considered a threat?

Hirako is, along with Kaneki, the person who carries Arima's will. so yeah, I'd say they consider him a threat.

I just realized if thats Eto on the last page this might be a throwback to when Eto and Kanou released Takizawa at the end of volume 2?

If you remember Kanou said something along the lines of ”should we release the owl, Eto?” What if its the same when Donato says ”put her to use until dragon is ready” but now Eto finds herself in the horrible position Takizawa was put through?

Someone said that it wouldnt be easy to turn someone like Eto into that ’thing’, so maybe in a flash back we will see Takizawa helping them put Eto down so they can turn her into that ’thing’ as some sort of revenge? Which that way might reintroduce him again?
