| Being the only one who remembers his own relative is very scarry and terrifying. The moment when the girl's parents didn't even remembered they have a younger son did creeped me out... | Cute episode, albeit a little weak imo X) I always get creeped out whenever someone's memory is distorted and the person's name gets a muffled censor or their face is blurred. Creepy af D: Happens all the time in movies lol *shudders* Ashen Eye is so mischievous, but in the end, he isn't really doing any harm (so far). He's more of a trololololol type of character, haha xD |

| This self-contained episode is excellent, although this context presented in the plot does not last very long, there are many benefits: it is not a long story, and the story takes a step forward, like the interpersonal bond between Chise and Elias, which now represents the fulcrum of the whole history of the anime. Drawings, backgrounds and animations, excellent. The characters are the icing on the cake this time too, since it is thanks to them that the episode works great. |

| That Ashen Eye is such a troll on god. Felt a bit like a filler episode but that doesn't mean that it's not good, I had a nice time watching it. Those crystals that were produced by the teddy bear Elias gave Chise for Christmas were not only cute but pretty damn functional too when it counts with basic little things, like negotiating when you need assistance on the move. Glad Chise was able to help Stella and hopefully get some great sweets in the future, and Elias' Chise face was great when he was stuck with Stella's little brother, Ethan. |

| I don't know why but this ep felt weak and not as good as the previous episodes... however I really like the moral of this ep, words are very powerful indeed so we should always be careful and think before we speak. Elias in his Chise form looked so cool, especially since he made it look like the white-haired version of her (while the real Chise has red hair.. ice and fire). |

| I guess the past couple of episodes have been using side stories to indirectly probe deeper into Elias and Chise's relationship: an exploration of forbidden love between Joel and the vampire-like fairy, the bonds between master and apprentice with Renfred and Alice, and most recently, what it means to be a family with Stella and Ethan in this episode. |

| I don't think the episode was that well done. Why did Chise have to turn into a bear to track the scent of Elias, when she has a fairy dog right beside her? And Ashen Eye just uses made up rules. Of course, he can do so because he is powerful, but that's all there is to it. If it where real rules of the fairy world or whatever, Stella would have gone back to her parents, they'd asked "where's your brother?" and she'd be the one confused. She is the one who broke the bond, her parents very much wanted to keep their children. Them being affected and her even remembering her brothers name until after he conventially explained that her forgetting him is the consequence of her choice of words does not fit his explanation. So the whole point of "be careful what you wish for" is moot. Furthermore, Ethan said "i don't need a nagging older sister" or something like that. He did not wish for her to go away. And even if he did, it was about a nagging older sister, not her in general. I think if you want to play with words, you have to do it right, not just randomly count something, and others not to fit a certain outcome. And real rules would have consequences for Ashen Eyes, too. I think It's all just made up on the spot by him, because he actually hopes to get something out of it. He'd prefer to get Chise away from Elias, he'd liked to keep Ethan etc. It's not that important to him, and he's got all the time in the world anyways, and actually fighting Elias and maybe other mages would interfere with him having fun along the way, so he poses it "just a little trolling", but that's just a cop out after the fact. |
