I did start Boku no Hero this year, planning to catch up on my winter break in the next week.

YataMomo was also a highlight for me anyways.

The one I enjoyed the most was Non Non Biyori, I really have a soft spot for it. <3
Other favorites that I started reading this year are Golden Kamuy and Dungeon Meshi. Haven't read much manga yet, hopefully by the end of the next year I'll have at least 100 completed. Pluto seems very good, I'm having a break from Urasawa Naoki's work for now, but it looks interesting...

Though I didn't read it for the first time this year, I read The Ravages of Time. Boy did I enjoy reading up to date a second time.

Jojo, Blame!, Oyasumi Punpun, Kokou no Hito, Noblesse, Vagabond, most of my favorites actually. Had a great time searching after being active on MAL and asked for recommendations.

There are lots of them actually since only this year that I started reading almost everyday. I only read when I want to back then. To name some, Kaguya-sama wants to be confessed to, Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko, Vagabond, Tsurezure Children, Umineko Series, Spice and Wolf (novel), Made in Abyss and 20th Century Boys.

I gave Bleach another chance and reread my first 8 volumes and quite enjoyed them. Too bad everyone says the story quality drops as it goes on... :/ And i really enjoyed The Girl from the other side, Horimiya, Bride's Story and Black Butler.

I never really read manga regularly until this year. I would have to say the Jojo series was the best I read this year. In particular Stardust crusaders, followed by Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency. I didnt really care for Diamond is Unbreakable, but Vento Aureo was decent. Havent started the next arc yet.

I didn't have that much luck with manga this year so only two series comes to mind: Hayate no Gotoku and this D-frag which I started earlier today.

Iris Zero and Horimiya, these two are still on top of my list. Although these manga are not hits in 2017. These are still my favourite mangas.

But if you're mentioning specifically this year. I'll go with Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudouki

I came very late to them, but I have watched and read D.Gray-man, Pandora Hearts, Owari no Seraph and Magi in 2017. XD
Love them all, tho the first one is something more special to me.
Read also great things like Akatsuki no Yona, The Ancient Magus Bride and Vanitas no Carte, which is from the same mangaka as Pandora Hearts. ^^

Should be Yakusoku no Neverland for this year. Best thing I've seen out of Shounen Jump ever probably

Kaguya-sama is still going strong too though

Golden Kamuy a really fun historical adventure! It also takes the time to teach the audience about ainu culture which is so unique in my opinion.

Also, Kodomo wa wakatte agenai if you like lighthearted stories and mystery this is a real gem.

I know it's not a very unique opinion, but I've been keeping up with the Tankลbon volume releases of Assassination Classroom for well over a year now, and seeing the series slowly building up to its finale this year has been thrilling and filling me with nostalgia from when I began reading.

Noragami.... if only it wasn't 8 months on hiatus. Only got 3 new chapters this year.
Help the industry and buy Blu-rays and DVD's.

I caught up to Yotsuba&! for the first time in like 9 years and it's still a super fun and cute read. The 4 latest volumes of Ancient Magus' Bride were really enjoyable too.

Out of all the completely new stuff I've tried Totsukuni no Shoujo/The Girl from the Other Side, My Young Cat and My Old Dog, and Heart of Thomas were all really good. Oh and not sure if it counts since it's a (light) novel and not on MAL, but the book for Shinsekai Yori was a good read too

I have some, but reading Yotsuba and Nukoduke was really amazing, they were both too adorable and heartwarming to read, totally enjoying them at the moment. I also like the manga for DB Super, since that looks pretty cool as well :)

Since i began reading Yotsuba in 2017, then yes, that's my pick. Other than that, maybe Nobunaga no Chef, since it is intriguing.

I got into this genre where the main character is either is transported or reincarnated to another world. This genre introduced a lot of interesting mangas especially Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari, Death March, Tales of Demons, Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou, and Re: Monster. But the one that I got into most in the past year is Unordinary. The manga is really good it is not the same genre as the other ones I was talking about.

For this year, without a shadow of a doubt, it has to be Hikaru No Go.

Started reading it in February and it absolutely blew me away. One of my top 5 favourite manga series ever at this point.

Honourable mentions are: Pluto, A Silent Voice, Fullmetal Alchemist, Tomie, Goodnight Punpun.

Alice in Borderland was definitely my favorite, but I wasn't totally satisfied with its ending and a few other details. The setting was amazing and it had interesting themes which made up for the rest.
