| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Damn, Atalanta is pretty awesome this episode with her bow skills. Achilles is actually quite impressive himself imo. Frankenstein is pretty damn strong for her class. I loved the way the action picked up this episode from both sides. Also interesting to see Achilles' past with Chiron. I can't help but laugh when Mordred was driving though. Priceless. |

| This episode was full of everything I wanted, including informations: Vlad, Darnic, Karna's armor and mana, Achilles and Chiron, Fran's abilities, Shirou's faith and Semiramis powers... aside from just a couple of details, I think it was adapted almost flawlessly and I couldn't be more happy about it. |

| It was a good episode. The fights were very well made and it really got me pumped up :D. That cliffhanger tho! The only thing i disliked was the screen-time of Sieg because everything was going fast and then him made everything feel slow and meh. I don't dislike Sieg but him being some sort of "kuudere" bugs off the tension. Hope we get some Spartacus flashback because it's kinda needed if he will be introduced that way to the battlefield. |

| Great episode, it truly shows where Fate shines most as a franchise - epic battle between heroes of the past. :) 10/10 episode for being so awesome, slowly moving certain plot moments and showing us Mordred skills that are so awesome that her dad would be proud of her. :) |
| Did i see some sexy impact frames for the Atalanta shots here? That was the hypest part of the episode for me! Karna vs. Vlad, OH SHIT! Animation was pretty dope here, at some point it was too dark though IMO to see much. Achilles vs. Chiron inevitable. Shirou though, GOD DAMN o__O He's gonna himself, that's ballsy (or has trump cards we don't know of yet, looked like he will try to get Frankenstein into Team Red). |
| Good episode. The fighting scenes were great and nicely done. Karna vs Vlad was awesome and we got a glimpse of the history between Achilles and Chiron. Student vs Teacher fight. Atalanta was pretty impressive and Frankenstein is strong. Shirou's appearance before Frankenstein gave me a bad feeling. Mordred showing off her driving skill. That one way of entering the battlefield. |

| This was the episode i was waiting for a long time, to see confrontation of mentor and his apprentice. I like the relationship of all three (Rider of Red, Archer of Red and Archer of Black) characters here and their "shared past". This episode was 10/10 just for the fabulousness of Achilles and his magnificent ass. Next week: |

| The all-out brawl has begun, and we got a lot of cool moments. Karna vs. Vlad was pretty awesome and the animation was well done there. We also got some action between Achilles and Chiron, with some other Servants joining in on the action as well (like Red Archer and Frankenstein). Lol Mordred and Shishigou are making quite the entrance. Spartacus has now been let loose, so he'll be wreaking havoc, and it looks like Shirou will try to convince Frankenstein to join the Red faction. Should be interesting to see how that goes down. |

| I dunno, those fights always feels so boring in this series it's almost a waste of money to animate it - half of it almost always consist of useless name-calling and the rest of it are over the top shiny abilities and unrealistic effects.. but I really lack some sort of planning and insight on why everyone is doing what they are. There is bit of intrigue in there but most of the time they are going by obvious pattern and hurr-durr strategy, never even thinking about using their command spells. Nothing really happened so far, nothing really stood out and we are already 1/3 through the series. Save for maybe 5 minutes of this episode it wouldn't even matter is it was skipped completely because the rest of it was useless fluff. I want to enjoy this series, I really do but it lacks so many elements that made original fate/stay and fate/zero so good that I simply can't. There are some interesting things in there but they are so scarce it's almost a shame. |
| This was a very epic episode. The action was done every well. Karna vs Vlad was awesome and got to see some backstory for Achilles and Chiron. It's going to be a student vs teacher fight. Atalanta is pretty impressive with her bow skills and Frankenstein is strong. Mordred showing off her driving skills was funny. Shirou appeared before Frankenstein and asked her to join the Red faction. That's going to be interesting to see. |

| Good episode. Action was great, the impact frames for Atalanta's shots were awesome. Karna vs Vlad is pure hype, can't wait to see more of that. Mordred driving the car is pure class. xDDD Achilies and Chiron's backstory was nice, wonder where their fight will lead. Shirou gonna take on Berserker himself? This should be interesting. |

| Great fights between the archers and riders, they were really good and I especially liked seeing Achilles' fight since he and Black Archer have history together I feel like Astolfo might die but I'm hoping that he doesn't especially for Sieg's sake (I'm really interested in seeing his plans in action) since I want them to interact more and maybe even join sides against everyone As for Shirou, I'm hyped to see what this meeting between him and Frankenstein has in store....Great episode overall, and I really liked all of the action and backstories P.S. This short haired homonculous better not get in the way of my Sieg x Jeanne OTP |

| I don't hate Sieg, it's just that he seems like such an unnecessary and forced character that doesn't blend well with the overall mood of the show. he's a random homunculus who randomly happens to got premature self-consciousness. he's randomly saved by a Servant who just happens to be too kind and just happen to found him first. he's randomly saved again by another Servant who randomly kills himself and gave him a heart surgery he's randomly protected by a saint who randomly found him a house to live in with a random kind old man. he randomly *spoiler* *spoiler* Not to mention that he has literally bland and hollow personality. At this point, it would be appropriate to call him a "Plotcancer" |

| Surprisingly this episode had more exposition than I'd expected for a battle episode. The portion about Vlad's influence and territorial dominance makes it seem like he'll likely be one of the last servants standing on the black faction's side. The flashback for Achilles and Charon was kinda bittersweet, what with the imminent confrontation between the two. Seig saving homunculus girl was kinda trippy, given she managed to survive against Achilles right before that. And that speech he gave about introducing the will to live to his fellow homunculus seems... a little unrealistic. Trying to start some internal revolution seems a bit much here... And what is with Really curious as to his church-trained abilities here. Does he really think he can come up against Fran? Though admittedly it would be kinda funny to see him NTRing Caules as revenge for them stealing Spartacus. Mo-chan with a rider skill..... BAHAHAHAHAHAHAW!!! Mod edit: added spoiler tag |

| Compared to previous fights in this show, this episode was a massive improvement on all levels, giving most of the show's servants a decent chance to shine. Also, should be interesting to see Shiro in action next week, although I have a bad feeling about what's going to happen to Frankenstein as a result. |

| I'd say that this was a pretty stellar episode. There was plenty of impressive action scenes from most of the servants, mainly Vlad vs Karna. Chiron vs Achilles feels pretty bittersweet between the master and the apprentice. I see either of them dying in their battle when it reaches its conclusion. Shirou also ventures onto the battlefield and encounters the berserker of black and offers her to join his team. If she refuses, then I'm sure that Shirou will fight her, I wanna know just how strong Shirou really is though. Lastly, we have Mordred and Kairi entering the battlefield in an old classic Jaguar. With Mordred doing the driving, she skilfully dodges all the boulders falling their way and at high speed as well. Now that's a true definition of a badass! =D |

It's not wrong tho? Earlier versions of the myth have Thetis literally burning away Achilles mortality with fire. Being bathed in the Styx is a later and more known interpretation, but that doesn't make the other one wrong or stupid. |
