Sooo what will capturing a city here gain them exactly? The supply line will still be cut so I'm not sure what the aim is here

Nice to see other cities and their kings/commanders reaction to the current Qin-Zhao ongoing war. Ousen looks confused to me but he keeps trying to hold the serious face, its just a matter of time before he gets exposed and killed.

Lets see what will happen next.

It will be even sweeter then if he takes Gyou.

We know the supplies is what determines how long the army will last, since Riboku is aware their supplies route is cut off he'll aim to drag the batlles out until Qin's army has no supplies left.

Qin's army could fall to a surprise attack before their supplies run out but I doubt Ousen will let Riboku destroy his army that easily.

I think Ousen aims for this small city to gather more supplies and secure a spot where his soldiers could rest. Blitzkrieg style, he'll make a few small cities fall to gather supplies & lower Zhao's amount of soldiers, in order to then focus on Gyou with a better position (more supplies, fewer enemy soldiers).

However he might also surprise us and aim directly for Riboku, perhaps he is aware Riboku isn't in Gyou or Zhao's capital.

i think we shouldnt underestimate ousen... he came up with some badass plan
if am not wrong Ouki mentions how kanki and ousen are two generals who already surpassed their rank when they were under Mougoubou( hope i didnt spell him wrong)
and this actually helped ousen and kanki to be in the shadows far from their enemies sight!

I have to wonder how much troops and power does Zhao have? because if the whole army attacked those 90 thousands they could kill the fast with three awesome generals etc in their mists.
After losing 90000 will Zhao be able to still encircle them? Won't they lose a big part of their military power?

Well small cities must have supplies. It seems he is aiming to be taking supplies from Zhao small cities. Will those supplies be something Zhao will miss? I wonder.

Should have been obvious what he is planning to do. He is capturing small cities and sending them back to the main city as refugees. As more and more refugees head their way to the main city, the kingdom won't have the capability to feed them all and start refusing them at the gates leading to unrest and civil disorder.

When the final attack comes, the moral will be at a lowpoint due to the refugee crisis and food will be limited to the defenders due to having to spread it with refugees.

Supplies have very little to do with what's happening, considering they are at a net loss for every city they capture. They might gain 0.5 days of ration for their entire army for 1day worth of work, while losing 1 day of ration capturing it.
