| Yotarou and Konatsu seem like a married couple while Yakumo is like the demanding father or father-in-law... although I have my suspicions. LOL at Yotarou saying his rakugo lines really fast, he might as well be rapping. Konatsu's baby is so cute. He's so frikkin' adorable and he looks like Sukeroku, her dad but he also kind of looks like Yakumo hmmm.... >-> Yotarou's performance was funny, too bad the stripping part put everyone off LOL. I hope he transforms into a better performer and that he can earn a lot of money in rakugo. He deserves it. He's reforming himself. He deserves success. |

| But why do people care that Yotaro used to be a yakuza member? I imagine the lack of audience/pressure from that article coming out, along with trying to prove himself worthy for Konatsu and the baby is causing his rakugo to suffer. |

| This OP is so good. It feels so dark and haunting. It was a touching scene when Bon calmed sleeping Konatsu with the rakugo her dad used to tell her. I didn't expect him to do that. And then their confessions to each other were pretty chilling. I thought Bon was going to scold Yotarou, so I didn't expect him to instead comfort Yotarou about his scandal and his recent performance. "You need to start facing your past. Don't cut yourself off from it, embrace it." Great quote. CatSoul said: But why do people care that Yotaro used to be a yakuza member? From reddit: "Japanese society [cares], unfortunately. Being Yakuza is like being an untouchable. It's pretty common for say, public baths to outright ban anyone with a tattoo because that's something only the Yakuza have, and they don't want public disturbances in their baths." |
| Yotarou is so boring as a character... I miss Sukeroku, even if I didn't always like him :/ I'll give this 1-2 more episodes, but I might drop it due to our "new" main character being the way he is. |

| If I was to use one word to describe this episode, it would be stressful. I was on the edge of my seat the entire episode, and I watch anime on my bed. Similarly to seeing Yakumo struggle in his younger years, I believe it to be important to see Yotaro struggle so we can see him move past it. It's also quite realistic for the news outlets to bring up his past. That tends to happen a lot nowadays in the current political and social climate. I hope Yotaro finds his own style of rakugo that blows everyone away. Who was Konatsu with at the end? The baby's father? |

| To be honest,I don't like Yotarou that much.His voice is annoying and he almost screams instead of talking.And I don't feel the same vibe from watching his rakugou as I felt from watching Sukeroku's one which is my favorite character. |

| That opening was filled with so many visual metaphors surrounding the fate of Yakumo, to put it lightly lol. Overall, the episode was fine. I liked Yotaro's interaction with Yakumo at the end where the Yakumo just tells him to be himself and embrace who he really is, it does help in him finding his own rakugo through accepting himself, and that includes his past. And Konatsu despite not forgiving Yakumo for what happened in the past with the loss of her parents, wants Yakumo to be able to recite rakugo with her kid being able to hear him while growing up, even if only for a while. That was nice. I will say this though, this episode is probably the least interesting one I've seen so far, and I'm uncertain on how to feel about the direction the show is taking surrounding the mystery of the kid. Maybe just me, but for this show, feels a bit unfocused and out of place a bit. |
