I like the type that keeps his cool no matter what kind of insult or embarrassing remarks are thrown at them. Not get swayed around by his surrounding, separating emotions with rational thinking. Characters that are true to his belief even if it is morally wrong or not right.

Kiritsugu emiya? i suppose.

Alucard from hellsing.

Oberstein from legend of the galactic heroes, (for those who watched it) is a type of character that i love.

by this, its probably anti hero- type protagonists are the ones i love. such as lelouche lamperouge.

I like characters that arent generic, have their unique traits, catchphrases (and deadfish eyes).

Oshii is probably the only director that loves dogs. He thinks he's a dog himself.

That's right, its slime! It will dissolve your clothing slowly before my eyes!

Strong, capable, preferably female, and uses brutal force more than words to fix situations.

The weakling coward turned into an anti-hero.
Example : Ouma Shu

The lazy type that becomes a badass when you need him.
Example : Gintoki Sakata

And the last MC type would probably like Hikigaya Hachiman.

I really like a character that's using his brain to achieve success, but is not perfect and makes mistakes, someone like Kaiji from Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor.

Another good example is Deku from Boku no Hero Academia, where he really thinks during his battles and isn't just a reckless idiot like Natsu from Fairy Fail. Deku's also a good character because he developed so much, he's now much stronger mentally than he was at the beginning of this series.

Besides that i just enjoy seeing badass characters doing badass things like Joseph from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure or Mikazuki from Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans.

I like progressive main characters. Not the kind who get exceptionally good at something over the course of an episode but those who gradually become better than they were previously. I really enjoy the feeling of watching a character grow. It gives the sensation that they are much more than 2D fictional works.

I like characters like Balsa from Seirei no moribito. But I really don't judge until I dislike their personalities (characters like harem mains and op guys.)
I also generally don't mind female characters. They are delightful and I can't seem to dislike any of them.

Okay well undoubtedly my favorite is the smart 'Just as planned type'

Light, Lelouch, and Sora. All of them are awesome.

My second favorite is the Hikigaya Hachiman/Hotarou Oreki type. I guess the relatable but still badass type?

And last but not least is The Araragi type, we need more harem leads like him.

Well, it depends on the anime story and genre. Still, I like strong and intelligent MCs, but that are still flawed and not invincible either. It's also nice when they have something quite unique about them (otherwise it would be pretty boring), but I don't want them to be too special either.

I like any MC that has a normal or average amount of power (gaining more later on is ok too) and also isnt a fucken stupid shithead knowing when to use logic ESPECIALLY when it comes to the girl trying to push herself onto him, i hope he/she actually fucken notices the other one's feelings. They have to look decent and altogether i really hope the have common sense and logic. Also senses a situation where he should make a move on his crush.

There hasn't ever been a Protagonist that I disliked. With the close probably being ones like Takeru from Maken-Ki! Though I'm still cool with him.

As a general standard... I suppose I tend to go for types like No Game No Life's Sora and Code Geass' Lelouch.

And traveling around my favoritisms as well, some of which are quite different from the other... Would be Re:Zero's Subaru... The Fruit Of Grisaia's Yuuji... Trinity Seven's Arata... And Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren't They?'s Izayoi.

So... I suppose Protagonists who seem to make things fun? Or have fun themselves? Mischievous Perhaps?

I like male protonagists with either a funny, outgoing personality or (as most said above) the weak ones that develop over time.

In female protonagists, I prefer a hot-headed, strong lead (Ex: Ryuko from Kill la kill). I usually can't stand hyper super-moe female leads.

Anti-heroes are usually the most interesting type. Protagonists who are not your typical "good guys" and they don't stick to a traditional code of morals, hell sometimes they are criminals themselves. They may lie, cheat, steal, or murder people or have bad habits.

Same here. I also don't like that kind of protagonist who like to shove their philosophy and ideals on others.
The protagonist must not be idiot like Ikoma or Subaru.

Someone like Hei from Darker than Black will be good. Strong but not too OP.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

If we're talking male protag's, I'd go with Kamina from Gurren Lagann because of just sheer badassery alone. But Simon I think perfectly embodies the 'weak but becomes stronger' trope that a lot of MC's tend to be.
I also think the stoic kinds are also pretty cool, case in point; Kazami Yuuji from the Grisaia series. No nonsense and gets the job done.
