| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow Bogue is not screwing around. What a cruel bastard. This episode also implies that Messer had a tragic past while showing PTSD-like symptoms. Damn, the rivalry between him and Keith also really heated up. Freyja's singing skills improved again although I think she put herself into too much risk this episode. Finally, Bogue takes a hit. Glad to hear Borderline again. That song never gets old! And poor Messer...I think we're getting an episode focused more on him coming up. |

| Woww aaa I loved this episode (biased towards Freyja) This episode made me wonder more about the backgrounds to Messer, Hayate, and Freyja, and Mikumo again. Messer it looks like we'll find out next ep When will we know where Hayate is really from and how he has that necklace? Freyja's talked about her family before, curious about much they know about what's going on/if they see her as traitor/just what's their stand in all of this? Mikumo is still a mystery > > Is she going to tell Freyja her reason for singing, now that she's found her own reason? Loved the songs and action! Can't wait for subs \ o / |

| Freyja is finally coming into her own as a singer, and the fold wave she produces seems to match somewhat what Heinz does for the other side. And her connection with Hayate seems to be growing (Mirage distinctly in the background here). Get ready for a Messerfest next chapter. |

| great episode, the battle scene with freyja singing was great. since she and hayate go together so well in battle, that surely means she is going to win... r-right? ;_; can't wait to see more of messer's past, i already kind of expected he has some tragic backstory. |

| ^ The way things are going perhaps since Mirage is pretty non-existent except for some small scenes thus far. Both Hayate and Freyja work so well with one another all it's missing is the red string to get things going. I dunno if this will go 24-26 episodes but if it's 12-13 I don't see much happening with Mirage and depending if something happens between Hayate and Freyja by then. | Aside from the ridiculous fact that all the Walkure girls seem to have some sort of impossible invincibility shield when running around in battle (which begs the questions (a) why are there not more enemies if this is an actual war (b) why are the enemy not specifically targeting the Walkure since they're pretty much the Kryptonite that will make them lose the war, and (c) how the heck is Freyja completely unscathed despite facing the White Knights, multiple missiles AND running in the forest AT Hayate's FALLING fighter), as a skirmish, this episode was decent. As an actual battle, it really wasn't big enough to be considered as such. 5 v 5 fighters in a dogfight does not a war make. Actually liked the way the White Knights managed to counter Mirage's flashbang escape plan. Shows they're not amateur soldiers. That said, it was pretty unbelievable how Hayate, after one episode of training, suddenly is able to do what Messer basically stated was impossible for even Mirage, much less a rookie (that is to aim for hits on only the wings and limbs of enemy fighters). I'll chalk it down to Hayate's resonance with Freyja's song instead of his actual skill. No one suddenly gets a permanent super EXP level up like that. Specially when he literally did nothing to earn it (unless getting the crap beat out of him by White Knights enlightened him or something). |

I'm pretty certain that triangle will be properly developed and we will get some Mirage/Hayate scenes before long. If you go back to the original SDFM, Misa and Hikaru took quite a long while to get started. |

| mmh idk i don't wanna drop it cause i love the macross universe but this episode was a little bit better than the others but also a little bit worse freyja is even worse than ranka, as a singer and as a character. that whole thing with apples was dumb and annoying. same with hayate. |

| Normally if Freyja can live longer, she will have a higher chance to be with Hayate. So if she didn't end up with Hayate at the end, there will be a plot excuse... you guys know what i mean =( Both Mirage and Hayate are pilots, so... huh? |

| Loved this episode and today's insert song was sooo pretty! Maybe I just like Freyja too much, lmao. Super excited to see what's going to happen next! Not going to lie I kind of teared up when Freyja started singing.. ; -; I want to know what kind of connection Freyja has with Roid or does Roid just have some other plans and needs Freyja to accomplish it. It looks like he isn't interested in war and sincerely just wants to understand the ruins. As for Messer.. poor Messer has PTSD and looks like has been infected by Var and hasn't been cured. I wonder if it's because his scar runs too deep / the PTSD is too strong? I guess we won't find out til the next episode. I USED TO THINK BOGUE WAS CUTE. NOT. ANY. MORE. |

That was what a knight usually do ? pointing a sword to a girl ? then they just literally shut him up, so he was right. after hayate got kicked on the face he need to say "so i'm right. what an disgusting knight". if he really said that, i'm gonna laugh my ass off xD XD XD at that kind of situation, the only thing you need is provocation to satisfy yourself xD getting killed ? who fuck cares ? even if they killed you, the fact that you insulted him ain't gonna changed in the villian's brain xD XD XD even if they are trying to forget it, someday it will haunt him again. kay. let's put all of that aside, it was a pretty good episode overall. i enjoyed it. that's all. looking foward for the next episode. |

| I didn’t like the omission of the beating that Mirage Farina & Hayate is like they were afraid (I understand the Mirage part [not agreeing because she is a soldier but I understand] of showing a female getting beaten by a man {by the way her grandma would be piss se was an elite soldier who excel in everything piloting and hand to hand combat except when facing his nemesis, a blue megane wearing guy. Lol!}) but not showing the Hayate A$$ whop'n wtf?! Arad Mölders said during the end of the battle "He would be proud" made me wonder more about the background of Hayate... |
