| Nothing really important, I guess "lol" is used when you just don't want something to sound so serious "like a haha" but doesn't mean it's something you're laughing about. Never really used "LOL" though |

| Back when I was a high school student (2010-ish), I knew this guy that would actually say 'lol' during conversations in person, or if he experienced something funny. His actual laughter was pretty annoying anyway, so I guess it was for the best. I just find it a bit amusing how Internet slang is making its way into everyday conversations taking place in the physical world. I reckon it's only gotten more prevalent these days. |
