| Drinking alcohol to fulfill a contract ftw~ Anyways, this episode was alright. Another pretty tame episode. Then again, i expected it for a part one of an arc. It was fun to see the different contractors and their contract method. Too bad there wasnt much of Hei in this episode, though it looks like we are starting to learn more about him with that last part. I am very interested in seeing the relationship between Hei and Carmine and her vacuum ability. Definitely looking forward to the next episode. |

| Being able to create a vacuum anywhere one pleases is a kickass ability. Even tho there was indeed not much of Hei ins this episode, I still think it was awesome. The art is very good, that chopper's shadow for instance looked great to me. So yeah, awesome for the beginning of an arc. Looking forward to more, as always. |

| I loved this episode. One thing that bothered me. Just the tiniest bit...was April remarking to November 11 about his rumination. I liked it better when they didn't say anything about it. Im really afraid they are just gunna announce the persons rumination everytime a new one appears....I hope not though. |

| I'm a bit confused on the whole Hell's Gate or whatever else thing. So do they all live within or outside of Hell's Gate? I thought it was within, now I think it's outside? And where exactly is it. I mean when they're in Tokyo you can see it. If it's far away you shouldn't be able to see the gate, right? Besides that, an interesting enough episode. But definitely needs more Hei in it. :D |

| I don't know that it's true, but I've heard it mentioned in several different animes so there's at least a common misconception (if nothing more) that travelling straight down through the earth from Japan would land you in Brazil. |

| It comes from Hellsing. It shows up later in the manga, and beneath the title in the Hellsing Ultimate OVAs. It was originally from something called The Ripley Scroll - there's a link in my blog if you're interested. By the way, I'm still trying to figure out what the deal is with the wall around Tokyo. At the beginning I was under the impression that Tokyo was sealed off from the rest of the world, but that's obviously not the case. |

| I just loved that long speech the guy gave about second hand smoke, then after killing them he takes out a cigarette, lights it up and starts smoking. *lol* Anyways, I hope we see more of those 3. The black girl was kinda cool(forgot her name). You don't see many African Americans in Anime. |

| Out of all the obeisances, I'm thinking that the whole drinking thing is the best one. Seriously. It really beats breaking your own fingers at least. After that first one, the rest of the obeisances seem pretty tame, though. Nothing as dramatic or serious as breaking fingers. O.o Lol at November 11's ringtone. HEI HAS A SISTER? What now? It looks like we're finally going to be able to learn more about his past. :D |

| Most interesting part 1 so far. I always get really excited when Hei comes in his "black reaper" form, because it's so bad-a. I wish there was more action with it though. This Havoc chick seems interesting and the action was overall pretty good. |

| I loved November 11's spiel about second hand smoking :D At least he's actually the one smoking for his obeisance, so less likely to get cancer...I guess. Even though smoking (and drinking) sucks, at least it's much better than having to break your fingers. That's just terrible. Seems like we're seeing, for the first time, Hei actually having emotions. He looks pretty angry, asking about his sister. |

| I don't know why but I sometimes have Baccano feels while watching this. Maybe it's because of the jazz music playing in the background. And the fact that November 11th looks like you-know-who. LOL This show is meh so far. They really need to give more explanation on what the hell is going on because the mystery is killing me. |
