Anime to me has always and will alway be a life long calling. I am contend with watching anime till the end of my sane life span or till the days my eyes give out on me unless Haruhi-sama has some other plans for me.

Myself
A student in the final year of the biotechnology course now. I do not list my gender because i feel that gender doesn't really change my perception of people.I am very tolerant of other people's orientation, ideology and beliefs so long as they don't preach and force it on to me.
I'm always quiet and almost always never make the first attempt in a conversation cause i never felt the need for it in the first place.
Wouldn't call myself an otaku just yet but i 'm slowly on the way there. Was once an avid gamer but that lust is long gone now.I still play my PS2 just for memory sake every now and then especially during the weekends since the internet line in my home area is almost 'dead' (stupid ISP). There are plans to buy the PS3 just to get a first hand view on a few games assuming i'm still have time and passion for it.
I used to see lots of cartoon when i was really small. Memories of watching Steamboat Willie in the VHS recording my parents made for me is still crystal clear in my mind. First non-western cartoon watch was probably Macross on TV back when i was 6 years old. Back then i was engrossed with the transforming airplane fighting aliens in the city environment (now that i think back properly, it was most likely the Robotech adaptation) .I also followed Sailor Moon Chinese-dub and Voltron like clockwork every week on TV (started at age 9,maybe even 7...i'm not even sure of the year anymore). To me, it was a refreshing change of story and animation stlye after having my fill on *western cartoons* (Daffy Duck, Coyote, etc).
Naruto made me identify these *non-western cartoon* as anime. My anime and downloading 'spree' started ever since the time i searched and downloaded Elfen Lied into my hard drive around late 2005/early 2006
Hobby (Major work in progress)
Watching anime takes up most of my free time.I also listen to music and watch anime in my free time. My favorite songs are mostly from the J-pop genre with anime OST having a huge chunk of it. I mostly enjoy the tune and melody. Favorite composer is Yoko Kanno and Iwasaki Taku. And then these is also anime watching.
Anime and the List
Would normally spend at least 2 hours a day watching anime unless DotA takes up too much of my time. There are even still several hours worth of anime in my hard drive that i haven't even watch yet >_>.
As for how i rate the animes that i watch, any anime that even manages to gather my interest to continue watching it is an instant 6. Scores of 7 are for those enjoyable ones while 8 is for those solid series that are well worth the time spent on watching them. If they are wonderfully executed and absolutely enjoyable with many good aspects to it, i bump it up to 9.
I only give a score of 10 for those anime that i think are truly brilliant with almost no flaw to them whatsoever. They may not be perfect by any standard at all but to me, they manage to captivate me and left a huge impression on me.
I'm mostly picky with what i watch thus the very low number of series with rating of 5 and below. I also have very broad tastes and watch a wide variety of genres (see favourites) Hentais, doujinshi and the like, well i'll add them when i add them...
I mainly look for character development and story line. Dialog is second followed closely by animation style.I can tolerate fanservices of all kind as long as they are done in moderate proportions although they are exceptions to some..(see: Guilt pleasures)
I will have to be frank in that i tend to give slightly higher ratings for anime & manga with really likable (IMO) characters in them. Endings also have a great influence on the overall rating. Plot holes are tolerable as long as done in good taste.
I will edit this profile when i can think of more stuff to fill in later. However since i am also a huge fan of 'pro'crastinating so... PERMANENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Till then, plz enjoy this pic
The never ending cycle continues: Gotta learn to get my priorities straight in the distance future..WAIT, maybe i'll just put that on hold as well along with the others > _ >
Yeah I'm following Sakura-Sanctuary's releases as they come out. Ironically, I might actually start doing some work for them. Oh if you think that's crazy, check out my THIRD re-watch of Rurouni Kenshin...
No, I don't really have the "time". I just make it as I go.
Well anyway I scored it 9 because I really enjoy this series and I liked the ending.
BTW is Ouran High School really that good? Thought about watching it.
I totally agree with you, though I personally think the whole 2nd part twists were really surprising (well some of them). I didn't really analyze the series but one thing that you didn't mention is that the second season is a complete rewrite of the first one with some twists.
ANYWAY, IT'S CODE GEASS!! I mean it's so good even though the second season wasn't totally perfect and did have some bad stuff. I personally love this series. (But you're so right about Lelouch, he was so great on the first season and then became really pathetic on R2.)
LOL I just had an extra vacation thanks to a stupid school trip. But anyway I have tons of tests right now, I sleep less than usual and I'm soo tired...
