| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Nice, I think the OP song is catchy, unique, and well coordinated with the various characters and theme. I also really like the quiet and eerie theme of this episode. Didn't surprise me that much that the MC acts surprised and pleasant about what he sees, particularly his mother. The time travel elements has a lot of potential as it gives Satoru the chance to fix the past. His confrontation with Kayo is also interesting since there's a connection already. Good episode. Kayo's little story from the book also expresses a bit of about her personality.  |

| Trying to figure out why he's there, and figure out there might be a hint to murder on her mother and to treasure the memory that lost. His friends helped him on meeting that girl in question. She has bruises from the bully from her mother. A boy among the group might know something near what he thinks. Composition by the girl with the title of the anime/manga, huh. There a hope and SOS from her. He invited her for his b-day party so that he can prevent from the case. ED is interesting. 25:20 again next. |

| Loved both the op/ed animation. It really does give off a bit of a Conan vibe when he hangs around his classmates back then. Gotta love the Nintendo talk. :D So we learn about Kayo and her tragic circumstances. Love the hand pressing and the transference of warmth. Combined with Satoru's earlier reunion with his mother I love how warm this series can feel. And it's over. Felt like 2 minutes went by, not 22, still fast moving. :D |

| First of all i love the change of aspect ratio it changes when he is in the past compared to when a story is being narrated (essay story). They even explicitly show us what it was trying to do with the film strip. This type of direction is done by a fantastic director indeed. Obviously though with a smaller aspect ration they can fill in more detail with less work so it looks good but its also a bit of a short cut. Nevertheless i don't mind it in fact i love it even more. Now the story does give us more hints on to whats to come. The whole child abuse thing broke my heart and I'm not one to feel emotional over stuff like that. For episode 2 it gave us enough hints and was a smooth transition from episode 1. |
| That part when he got embarrassed after touching hands with Kayo and went "Hey you're 29" to himself made me laugh so hard lol This episode was just fantastic, the pacing was great and the way they set the tone and atmosphere for this new setting was just amazing Seeing Satoru interact with his mom and expressing so much emotions around her as well as him being more loving and thankful for even the little moments truly brought a smile to my face and made me emotional as well and I loved his mom since the beginning so seeing how she was in her younger years is great for me The school setting isn't bad at all and Satoru's group of friends are pretty likable and I like the brown haired kid a lot especially since he's pretty sharp and I know that he has a feeling that something is going on, which is why I'm hoping that Satoru maybe let's him in on what's truly going on in some way Lastly, the scenes with Kayo were simply fantastic and I absolutely love the dynamic that she has with Satoru as well as her personality....They both have depth to them and are very similar too and characters like this are great together (I ship it so hard lol)....It pissed me off too see that she gets abused from her mom though and her SOS really hurt my soul a little so I'm hoping that she can be saved when this series is over because she doesn't deserve any of her suffering Overall great episode yet again, a lot of subtle foreshadowing here and there with some great characterization and development and I can't wait to see what happens next.....The OP and ED visuals were very interesting too |

| Not as intense as the first episode but still really neat. Satoru's and Kayo's interactions were cute as hell though. The 29 line from Satoru line broke my sides. |

| The production value for this anime is insane. This episode was just as good as the first one, i really like Satoru's and Kayo's relationship, they are cute <3 Kenya is interesting, he has a very close eye on Satoru. Nice OST. |
| Im really liking the story so far its starting to get pretty interesting, it really gets you thinking. Can't wait for next week! Satoru and Kayo are so cute aswell! Oh and really liking the opening, it fits nicely with the show. |

| Wow, I love everything about this anime, especially the writing and directing. There are so many subtle things and hints happening in each scene, and the dialog feels very natural and flows well. Nice OST and ED. 5/5 |

| Intriguing episode. Really looking forward to it. Oh and now Satoru Fujinuma is genius since he have his memory of what he did in 29 years. 4.6/5 - Series I was looking for. Note: I rarely rate episodes 4 and 5 which represents excellent and masterpiece. |

| Beautiful. Amazing follow up ep. I just love the double voicing for Satoru with his monologues being his adult voice and how he sometimes says what he's thinking and we hear both voices. Love his moments with his mom so much. His reaction to her asking if he has a girlfriend was lol Kayo is <3 I'm loving her so much and Aoi Yuuki just makes that love x10 I f***n cringed during the abuse scene. F***n BITCH MOM!!! Lol'd at Satoru's "ur 29 get a hold of urself" XD Really liking Kenya a lot too. Hope he'll be a main factor in all this Dat OP. Lots of shit is incoming and the ED was beautiful |

| I see what people meant when they said rushing the first episode was only natural, this is where the storytelling is able to truly shine. The direction, pacing, atmosphere, it was all extremely gripping. Kenya = Daiya |

| So far for me the best thing about this show is the atmosphere, the main reason is the animation, the beautiful music and the way they direct the show i get a similar feeling like i'm watching a less over the top version of Death note(atmospheric vise). For example that final scene of this episode reminded me of one of my favorite scenes in episode 7 of Death note most people know about but i don't want to spoil it. In conclusion great start and i hope it will continue to be this good and the reaction of Satoru to his childhood is priceless. |
| I like the show so far but the dialogue for the children doesn't make them sound like they are actually only 10 year olds. No kid of that age would ever talk like Kenya or Kayo. |

| What a fucking killer episode 2. I was really worried about how much they'll pace it and it seems that I was a bit right but the adaptation is flowing really well which is the best possible thing. Kayo Hinazuki sounded perfect imo and she's probably going to be my favorite character this season. Fucking Brilliant. Also I'm glad people are "enjoying" the abusive mother relation as I think that this series is one of the few who do it justice/right. |

| Kayo a qt. And Aoi Yuuki makes it all the better <3 So, Kenya has the same eyes as the killer. Hopefully what i'm thinking isn't true, because it'd be a lame giveaway. Nice subtle details throughout the episode though. |
