I usually watch like 1-2 eps/ day so I'm not sure. Remember that you can use movies, ovas, specials... There's short animes too, like Teekyu (you can watch the 6 seasons of that one in like 2 hours and half) I know.. wanting an answer still keeping that in mind though I'd go with medium. But I'd watch a 3 cours show and <10K views... so if ever you've finished this summer, you'd still have time to change your challenge for the hard one. Sorry for the ignorance but, what's cours mean? I can't explain it properly but it's linked to the number of episodes (and it's one of the challenge that is harder to achieve if you chose the hard difficulty challenge). The FAQ on the first page of this thread explains it very well. |

MinKr said: ZRoT said: Sorry for the ignorance but, what's cours mean? zombie_pegasus said: Cour refers to the airing period and is only applicable to TV series. One cour is one anime airing season which is three months. It would not be surprising to not understand it as Black Rock Shooter with 8 episodes and The Disappearance of Yuki Nagato with 16 episodes would both be considered one cour by most people even though one is twice as long as the other. In the past anime would take long rest periods without breaking the anime into separate seasons so although The Big O took 14 cour to air it was only actually airing for two of those and should be looked at as a 2 cour anime. Katanagatari is only 12 episodes, each being 50 minutes long, but it only released one episode every month so it is a 4 cour anime. Chi's Sweet Home is 104 episodes long, each being 3 minutes long, and four episodes were released every week so it aired over six months making it a 2 cour anime. Princess Tutu had 13 episodes which were 24 minutes and 25 episodes which were 12 minutes. It aired over four seasons making it a 4 cour anime despite being the same length as a 2 cour anime. Anime with short episodes such as Teekyuu are still the same amount of cour that they took to air. Kekkai Sensen was intended to be a one cour anime but the final episode was delayed well into the following season. Although it took two seasons to air it is still a one cour anime. Kiss x Sis (OVA), Flag (ONA), and Magic Kaito (Special) all have 24 minute episodes and have 12/13 episodes like one cour anime do, but since they are not TV type anime and do not have regular airing schedules they are not considered to have "cours". Magic Kaito was aired on TV, but it was aired as a special series it was not aired one episode per week. Anime that are split into separate seasons are treated as more than one anime. For example, Kirarin☆Revolution is a single anime that is 153 episodes which makes it 12 cour. Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream and its sequels Dear My Future and Rainbow Live are 51 episodes each adding up to 153 episodes but they are three separate 4 cour anime. Pretty much sums it up. It's basically a series under one title that runs multiple seasons (24-26eps; 36-39eps; etc). Thanks! On that note... Anyone give me a few two-cour recommendations? |

This is my first attempt, I hope I can complete it >< I chose hard because why not, I have faith in myself! I want a recomendation for the challenge please, if someone could give me one. I would prefer if it's not in my plan to watch. Can be anything besides ecchi/harem/fanservice/etc. I would prefer if it's not too long (around 25 cap max, can be a little more). If it's not in the top 30 or so, better (can be in it). Thank you for you time! ^^ EDIT:Also, a question (reading the question above me). How do you know if I completed it in 1 day? Or do you belive in the contestant? EDIT2: For the director/composer/studio I don't know, what's the base for that? Like, not having watched any anime from "x" studio, and then watching one for the first time (it would be the first anime I watched from that studio), so that would count? Is that the point of that specific challenge? |

TripleSRank said: » Watch an anime that focuses on a couple with a romantic relationship I'm having trouble thinking of relevant anime I haven't seen that fit this qualification. Would Nana work? Nana is more music than relationships but relationships does play a key role. So I think it qualifies. You know, I think I realize that I"m probably, too picky to do this challenge. I want to do it but it doesn't seem like it's going to work. I mean, Out of the 5 I've completed, I already dropped one porn, I mean heavily implied hentai anime, and am not really interested in Great Teacher Okizuki or however the hell his name is spelled which would be under the 'Watch an anime that has a main character that is a professional in his field' category. And I just want to rewatch a lot of anime for this challenge. Yeah, so I'm not going to do the challenge this time but I will be more than happy to hang out on here and help people though. |

I mean, there's no legitimate benefit to cheating on this challenge. For the second edit, from what I gather it's possibly one you've never heard of prior to the challenge. So I guess just start exploring titles until you come across a studio/staff member you've never heard of. You'd be surprised, you may even find someone in your favorites. |

It works, sure, but I feel that it isn't ideal because the main focus of the show isn't on Hachi's pile of relationships(Hachi x Mean Man especially) or on Nana x Ren. It's primarly about the relationship between the two Nana's and how it is strained by each of their immature decisions at times. So if even though it is a "Romance" anime, I'd actually file it under the "Anime about non-romantic relationship" challenge before I'd say that it focused on romantic ones. |
