| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hmm that was alright. We got basically the intro of the main characters and some running (I expect pacing to pick up soon) Riku Yagami seems like a fun guy introduced in the episode. Then, there's Sakurai. The OP song was okay, catchy in some ways and showed a lot more characters than I had expected. The artwork is nice, definitely has the vibrant quality from Madhouse. Fun stuff overall. I wonder how much characterization we'll get for the main characters. Sakuraki has quite a bit of responsibility though. Also glad to see a little bit about the mechanics of the running fields, rules, etc. I think the episode introduced the premise and story consistently overall.  Lol, the pose  |

| Wow, Kimura-san's character, who is apparently the main guy, is extremely fast at running. And megane guy is mysterious (Nobu?). The girl is looking for Shonan's Stride club according to the video. OnoD's character and Shimono-san's character playing shogi instead of stride? Not enough members... because something happened between the two members on the video. That megane guy thought of a suitable member, who is Kimura-san's character. That blond hair guy seems like a nice guy. Seems like Kimura-san's character and megane guy are famous... She's manager / relationer. It was speechessly exciting match with "draw" as result. lol @ that megane guy's leg "fechi" action. Seems like next ep. will feature those two members in questions. |

EDIT: As I said before, I absolutely loved this lol...Relays meets parkour huh Not only are the characters all freaking great and likable, but they each have their own distinct personalities and their dynamic with one another and pretty much everyone that they meet makes everything so fun and filled with comedic moments I thought it was pretty nice how the Shogi and Stride team joined up together so that they can keep each other alive and that's pretty sad how those other two guys left, but I'm expecting them to be back eventually because they were pretty great in that video too Last but not least, I LOVED how big Stride is in this place and it was so great to see how everyone in the school was so into it and how the school itself became the course....And don't get me started on how badass that race and both teams was (I'm really curious to find out who Yagami really is since the senpai's already knew him) I think what will get get lot of people in this is the fact that this actually feels like a sports anime and not some random lame reverse harem type of show, and I'm truly greatful for that (Yet again it IS Madhouse and they put quality into almost everything they do especially with great staff like what they have for this - The animation was way too good) OP was okay but nothing special and the art style works pretty well I must admit....Overall I thought that this was a great first episode and I can't wait to see more....My only complaint is that if this really is going to be 1 cour, that is way too short for a series of this nature :( |

| Okay OP but this was an interesting start. Characters are nice and they seem likable (for now). The match was done well; wonder how far this will go, considering what a second-year like Kohinata can do. Nice episode. |

| I actually enjoyed that first episode. The seiyuu cast for this anime is amazing. The characters are quite loveable for now.. and I like how they gave us a glimpse of the sport so early on in the anime. I was never a fan of otome games turned anime (aka reverse harem) but Madhouse made me enjoy the first episode very much. I'm hoping they'll keep this up and won't be a disappointment like the other ones. I'm assuming that can only be done if they focus on the sport more than the romance between the main girl and all the guys >_> I'm crossing my fingers for the former. I enjoyed the soundtrack and ED song. I expected Mamo-chan's song to be the OP song but I guess not qwq It was okay. |

| I think it's fairly good, it's not top tier, but still something I'll enjoy watching non the less, we'll have to see how it plays out, so far so good, but it has potential to become better. |

| Pretty fun. I thought it'll just be marathon and running tracks but having obstacles and buildings needing GPS was awesome. Has potential to be lots of fun |

| Sound interesting enough but apparently its based off a otome game which means reverse harem. So nope, even the legendary Madhouse can't get me to watch that genre. |
| The OP is really catchy. Sakurai's alright as a character, but Yagami was great! Okay production values, some animations look clunky, some art looks simplistic, but that running animation is sweet. 4/5 |

| It wasn't bad at all. Madhouse still on point as always. I have never seen an anime about this type of sport before so it is really interesting. I feel the things in this episode went down faster than I expected. I thought that Sakurai wouldn't get along right away with our Yagami. But I will definitely look forward to more episodes, it has a huge potential. |

| It looks interesting, and I hope that future episodes pulse accelerate, as happens with every anime sports. Shojo not expected to be much and hopefully not end as Free. The graphic style used for the Opening, is mesmerizing. |

| If I was playing the game I would hit the 'Skip' button or whatever pretty hard just to get to the meat of the game, which is not bad for the first episode. The first couple of episodes is always the hardest to sit through, and the first ten minutes feels it was like longer than it should be. Nothing wrong following the typical structure of fleshing out every character, but can you make them feel less like you are just trying to fit every overused, uninspired traits into each characters? Their identities are being stereotypical in their own ways. Now I see why it was produced as a VN first, because you can just skip everything. |
| I really liked the first episode! It was funny and I'm really hyped for the next week. The seiyus are fitting well and the characters are really likeable. I'm just hoping they focus more on the sport than the romance. |

| Well I went ahead and watched the raw version since I was tired of waiting, but I was able to understand more than what I was anticipating. I guess my knowledge of Japanese from high school is still more or less present. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about. The race was kinda cool though. |

| Gooooosh that first episode! I can't believe it happened so fast. I really liked the art, so stylish. And a lot of characters were introduced already... Hasekura seems the most likable to me. That race was damn incredible! My reaction was the same as Nana when they crossed the finish line. OP is really catchy btw. Looking forward to see more! |

| Ive always hated Track and Field but I gotta say the anime tends to have it's own good material it reminded me of other previous sport anime that kinda lightens my mood of nostalgia so far so good, I'll keep in touch and see how it goes And cool to see some Haru looking guy with Midorima's style lel |
