| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That was beautiful. The animation looked gorgeous and it looks like they've used some of the music in the preview for the OST. The Sakura Tree scene in the beginning also has a pretty rythym to it as it introduced Sakurako. I was kinda surprised that she listens to loud music like that lol So basically, I think the show introduced some of the main themes already especially the mystery and bones aspect. Found it quite interesting in terms of content. I'm impressed.  I think there's some nice metaphors in the episode as well. |

| TROYCA is really taking a page from Aldnoah.Zero's book on how to do episode 1. Starts with credits on the original story, animation studio, and production like AZ. Ended the episode with scrolling credits like AZ. Animation is beautifully done like AZ. Anyways, I like this first episode. My most anticipated show if off to a good start. |

| Finally something interesting and not overhyped. It looks OK. Some scenes was done in 3D but in the end, comparing to K and Owarimonogatari it looks awesome . I loved that backgrounds and character design. |

| Holy damn visuals, that was beautiful. Sakurako is the most interesting character of the season so far and she's gorgeous. The knowledge about bones really helps in crime investigations, really curious what cases we will get. |
| Finally Sakurako! Since the artist is the same of Hakomari and the novels were about mistery, this was my most expecting show this season. First episode was great, the animation is lovely and the characters seemed good developed. I can't wait for the next episode :D |
| A mystery being more closely related to the bones themselves O.o The two's interaction are already pretty enjoyable. Wanting to see remains being from a crime... glad she doesn't hold back. |

| Sakurako reminds me of Sherlock quite a bit with her fastidious reasoning. The swift closeups of camera angles in the corpse detection scene had the same style of the BBC series. Neat stuff. Shoutarou's character is pretty annoying though.. >.> Impressive start. Now, it'd be even more interesting should there be an archenemy like Moriarty. |

| This is one of the most interesting titles this season. And it this episode was pretty nice so far i like the Sakurako she is pretty funny and serious when she needs to be. I hope this anime keeps this up. |
Finally, a good mystery show. Way better than I expected. And the visuals are really beautiful.  I like Sakurako's eccentric personality. She's one of the most unique character of the season. The scene of her solving the crime was my favorite part.  |

| Very formulaic, but damn is it well executed. The insert music is, with one exception, gruesome though - to put it kindly. And a good 3-5 desibel louder than they should be at all times. I guess for this new studio, music is their weakness. When literally everything else is this well delivered though, I can look the other way. |

| Wow a beautiful first episode. The art is splendid and a feast for the eyes. The character design has an Aldnoah.Zero vibe to it with the same eyes, same hair etc. TROYCA's debut as the only studio producing behind, this is definitely a title to look out for this season. |

| Not sure just yet about the anime. After watching it, it felt like it was kind of incomplete; I mean, I was expecting them to solve the case, and it turn out that she just gave her theories, but didn't really solve the case... So far only thing I really like about this anime is Sakurako's personality.... |

| I'm all for mysteries and crime solving but this was just flat out boring |
| Sakurako must be a contender for strangest character of the season, what with her unusual fascination (more like obsession really) with bones and solving mysteries relating to human bones. She's definitely an interesting character, but the male lead isn't anything special so far. Hopefully he'll get some form of character development at some point or other. This series looks really nice visually as well, especially that scene where Sakurako said she was going to solve the mystery (I bet that line will become some kind of catchphrase, as is common for shows such as this). Also, was that song at the end the OP or the ED? Either way, I definitely liked it. |
| My thoughts about this pilot episode: Okay, the art style, character design, animation was so beautiful! The OST and the ED was really good. And the OP must be good too. And the plot and story was really interesting, So I'll definitely gonna keep watch it. Until the end! |

| It was alright. I feel like the BONES comparisons are kind of inevitable though. I feel like the show will impress more once there's more to the mysteries and the entire episode isn't SHONEN SHONEN SHONEN Sakurako messing around with the crime scene with no one stopping her was a bit ridiculous, though. Why did the forensics team member just follow her orders? |

| It's an unusual set up not quite sure the relationship between the pair was explained well. The art was very good, it certainly has potential and is a bit different. |

| I think it was a really strong opening episode, and the MC's had some really cool synergy as well, I think this might become one of my favourites of the autumn season. EDIT: By the way, is it just me who thing that she kind of looks like Rin Tohsaka? |

| Well the anime looked good. However, from the perspective of someone who is actually in the osteology/forensics field the actions of the MC are pretty rage inducing. Her respect for ethics in the field so she can "own" human remains is pretty bad. Plus she is made to have an interest that is borderline fetishistic and unhealthy with them. Outside of that her methods are just as comically off the mark and exaggerated like any CSI/BONES shows in the US so I expected that...but her questionable ethics with remains was a turn off. |
