| anime nowadays is mostly watched in japanese, and why? Because its anime of course. I usually hate dubs for animes because of it lack of feel in voices and how unrealistic it sounds. However like everyhting in the world, there are execptions. Do you know any anime that had english dubs that actually became superior than the japanese voices where at least more than half of characters were better? |

| Bebop. When it comes to DBZ Goku's , teen Gohan's, Krillin's, Cell's voices are better in English but the rest of the voices are better in Japanese. |

| Pretty much what everyone said above. In my experience, most of the better sounding dubs come from action-oriented anime; I would think it's simply because that is what the English language tends to be----a rebellious sort of language that lends itself to revolution and constantly changes overtime. That being said, I have no optimism at all for any dub that tries to encompass romantic themes and those of rather "very-anime-googly-eyed-uguu" type characters. Just to add to the list... -FMA -FLCL (I at least found it to be quite favorable, especially Haruko's voice) EDIT: Looks like someone added it before me, ufufu ^ -Space Dandy |

| i'd say redline is the biggest upgrade from sub to dub (other than DBZ) it's probably not the best one though |

| Cowboy Bebop is the uber-example. Next would be Baccano and then there's the amazing Hellsing TV series and OVAs. I think Spice and Wolf was better dubbed as well. For a more silly anime like a harem-type, Highschool DxD has a pretty good dub. |

I rarely watch dubs any more, aside from DBZ and Pokemon (lol, but Pokemon subs seem to be near-impossible to find anyway), but occasionally I'll watch an old series I haven't seen before in dub, I'm currently doing that with Trigun. Also, although it's rare, there are some occasions where every sub I find for a series is utter shit, so I just turn to the dub instead. | Good Dubs for me 1. Death Note 2. Baccano 3. Bebop 4. TTGL Okay Dubs 1. Code Geass 2. Monster 3. Durarara 4. Eureka Seven Terrible Dubs 1. Digimon 2. Higurashi 3. Clannad (Don't stone me to death , I just hated most of the voice cast's acting) I only list these , as these are the only ones I have watched both Dub and Sub , so I know how good the Dub is by comparison. |
