I like to pay attention to the creative side of the industry, as I'm sure a lot of users on this site do, so it occurred to me that a feature that allows us to Follow specific animation studios or individuals (and provides us with a notification whenever a new anime or manga is attached to their page) would be a convenient way of helping anyone who might want to do so.

I, for example, have recently developed an interest in Matsumoto Rie's stuff, and it would be handy if this site could notify me whenever she directs a new TV series or film. Obviously I could just check her profile every once-in-a-while, but this feature seems like a more user-friendly option.

I'm not sure of the practicalities of establishing an automatic notification feature like this, but I think it could be worth considering.

I usually just read every news thread to stay updated, I guess.

But yeah this would be a good implementation. +1

I support this as well. There are times where I forgot about the people in the industry that I liked. Getting an update whenever they start a new project would be nice.

Would it also be possible to get notifications if a person that we're following leaves an industry?

That is... Dorohedoro.

It could go for all updates and if someone wouldn't mind putting such a matter up for the people to be let know, I don't see why not.

That would be a really good feature.

Yeah, we can always bookmark, RSS feed or whatever such pages BUT a "Follow" feature for 'Anime Studios' / 'Company', 'Manga Magazines', 'People' (Mangaka, Seiyuu), 'Characters', etc. would really be nice since we're only limited to 10 'Favorites' per 'People' and 'Company'. I hope the 'Manga Magazine' pages would also contain additional infos like official links and news similar to 'Studio' pages (example: Kyoto Animation). In Pixiv, magazine pages have links like official website and Twitter (example: comic POOL). It would also be helpful if 'Anime Studios' / 'Company', 'Manga Magazines', 'People' pages could embed official Twitter pages on the side same with Pixiv and other sites for updates.

And please, consider an 'Advanced Search' / 'Filter' for 'Mangaka'. 🙏
