THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
After watching this episode I just went "What the heck?!" From the new opening to the random types of artistic representations, it was just so random and, coherently enough, confusing and easy to get lost in. Regardless, I had fun watching this episode. :D

I thought the last episode was the most chaotic, but Ep 7 was even more disordered! From the PuniPuni characters to the clay animation, Shaft is now exploring their limit of anime expression. I truely enjoyed it.

As I watched, amazed, I said to myself, "These guys must smoke an S load of pot!"
I have never doubted that besides being twisted, they are very much students and fans of the animation arts. Constantly experimenting, mixing media and pushing limits.

Why ppl say references and not parody sarcasm make fun of??
I mean this anime is all about black humor and being sarcastic nothing more nothing less
I feel that ppl saying its a reference sound naive!! (To me atleast)
In my point of view some of the episode are direct sarcastic attacks to ppl ,ways of living and other things and not just random references, sure there are things like that many times but seeing it in all the tread and forums (the word reference) makes me kind of .... you know wana take it out of me:P
Im not pointing at chicken008 just to make things staight it just a coinsidence that i quote him.

Still loved the episode i really want to see it again with afk subs but would happen probably next year:P

@_@ It was EVERYWHERE. Literally. All those animation styles made my head spin!
I can relate to Itoshiki's beginning rant though. "I've heard it a million times!" or something like that.

I thought the best scene was the Cooking with Kimura Kaede show. The way she just casually threw the pots off the table was hilarious, not to mention the totally unnecessary panty oriented camera shots.

There are plenty of people who are not qualified to continue living but are qualified to teach! XD

Also Shounen Magazine doesn't have gravure photos of boys. XD Fujiyoshi is a minority. XD

Excellent episode, despite the lolis. Especially since they put in Nozomu and Mikoto costume rape. If a million people say so it must be true! Ahahahah~

Actually, I dont see any substance at all with this anime, it really is just a gigantic parody that likes to take big topics and molest them without any shame. The teacher's diatribes are like the rantings of a teen who just discovered adult literature, philosophy and politics, and feels the need to pontificate about the world's injustices to anyone who'll care to listen, which is of course why I find the show hilarious. Unlike another similarly perverted animation, South Park, theres no point or commentary to be seen in Zetsubo Sensei, not much anyway, but I really dont think that is its aim anyway.

Black humor involves serious topics such as death, rape, war, etc. and treating in a humorous or satirical manner. Itoshiki's rants don't count as black humor because he simply makes a big deal about things which most people would consider as trivial. Even his frequent attempts at suicide are nothing grim because we all know that he won't die anyway; it's just a running gag in the show.

Oh man. In the past hour, I must have watched the opening sequence over 10 times already.

^And you say this serious topic are not included in some episodes? Making an episode out of stalkers doesnt mean that this is black humor?

I'd say that SZS (both seasons) gets into black humor every once in a while, but it's pretty gray, for the most part. Part of the reason why this show is so great is because the creators cross the line of decency frequently, creating scenarios where you know you shouldn't laugh, but can't resist.

Ah. I meant the OP of episode 7 which featured Kitsu Chiri, Fuura Kafuka, and Otonashi Meru. The mahou shoujo theme was cute, song had a catchy tune, and it funny how Nozomu perfectly fitted into his role as the antagonist.

16 viewings and counting... XD

If I've understood the rules correctly it's fine to link to sites that then link to the episodes. If not then just remove this post and I'll pretend it never was made.

Go to http://www.tokyotosho.com/ and do a search for Zoku. There's no point in typing out the whole title but you can do that if you want to. You should probably be able to find what you're looking for in the results.

I did, but the [anon] .mkv one is supposedly 97 MB, so it has to be a joke, and the [...][anon] .mkv one was a fake according to the comments on Nyaa Torrents, which only leaves the .ass, but I would prefer a video with internal subs as opposed to having to DL both the Sub and the RAW...

Unless of course, the [...][anon] .mkv wasn't a joke... But the internet up here is really crapped up as of late, so I would rather be 100% secure rather than wasting time DL'ing some silly fake... recently, I spent three hours DL'ing one episode which turned out to be a Mr. T movie T__T

No, it's real. They use h.264 encoding so they aren't as big as the xvid ones.

If you still think it sounds fishy download the .ass files and use them with a raw instead.

man this ep was messed up O.o not every episode is golden. Still love the show though and too you people above yeah it is dark humor but taken in a light way so it doesn't seem dark so lets just say 50/50. And the show makes a lot of interesting points about things, mostly true to some extent at least., just dont look too deep ok XP

That was off the wall, and that is saying something for this anime! I know I've said similar things before, but this show just keeps on smashing up boundaries!

Nozomu is qualified to do a lot of stuff then...except dying of course!
