So basically i'm in early 20s and looking for some good anime too watch. The problem i'm having is i start animes and they're either too childish or there's no solid direction.
I'm looking for an anime with a solid plot that will make me feel emotions. Check my list of watched anime to get an insight of what i like.

p.s im not a fan of mecha so try to avoid recommending it ty.

Definintely:

Terra Formars (Pure horror though, you might want to try the uncensored version as the censored one is horrible unless you can't see ripped out spinal cords and such)

Baccano! (Overall, has mostly Dark Comedy and Mystery elements but is quite complicated as is has an ensemble cast of over 20 characters, spams over about 4 time periods and is shown out of chronological order)

Durarara! (similar to baccano! but less dark and less complicated)

D. Gray Man (though it is rather slow in pacing and has comic relief in it, it's similar to ao no exorcist, in my opinion)

Kiseijuu (similar to tokyo ghoul and shingeki no kyojin with a more serious tone)
I'm not rude... I just wasn't taught to politely pretend to be nice to people I can't stand.

Steins gate i found so boring, and terra formers... i watched quite a few episodes.. all they did was talk about each character in each episode and then they...*spoiler* so i stopped it

I know how you feel. I've been looking for the similar titles.

I recommend:
Kino no Tabi
Haibane Renmei

And maybe Monster and Sakamichi no Apollon, too.

These were likely all made with young adults and adults in mind.

Kill la Kill will make you cry, a masterpiece for sure just like No Game no Life. :^)
Sword Art Online is epic, Kirito never loses and it's very mature too! :^O
The anime industry is dead, the otaku fanbase killed it.

Why are we still here? Just to suffer? Every night, I can feel my leg... and my arm... even my fingers. The body I've lost... the comrades I've lost... won't stop hurting... It's like they're all still there. You feel it, too, don't you? I'm gonna make them give back our past."

On the off chance that "mature" for you doesn't just mean "gore and grimdark" I'm going to go ahead and recommend Kokoro Connect.

Avoid if you absolutely must have action, but among psychological dramas it is my #1.

Also the dub is extremely cheesy and ridiculously insufferable, and considering the Japanese voice acting is stellar, (and important in some of the scenes) it can't really be watched dubbed.

If you want a mature well thought out anime with amazing characters then watch Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu or Legend of the Galactic Heroes. This anime took me awhile to watch due to it being a rather old anime. I myself always heard how great this anime was and how you needed to watch 26 episodes to really get into it. I took those words with a grain of salt and I regretted later when I took the leap. Anyways if you want a good understanding watch the first two movies here in this link and then if you like them commit to the series. http://i3.minus.com/ibvDmTFT0hvkDT.jpg

Maybe it's me, but of all the anime I've watched, I don't really feel like any of them were childish. Maybe Nagi no Asukara because they were in middle school, but other than that, I feel like many can be watched even if you're an adult lol.

Shinsekai yori? Its an intelligent show with a slow beginning. Monster is good too.

I have no idea what you mean by a mature show since your anime list is the exact opposite of what you would expect from someone who wants mature shows. If by mature you mean nudity and gore try mirai nikki and elfen lied.
