Mm, the episode felt more quiet for the first half than the previous. Felt kinda sorry for Doronjo with her interpersonal problems but I'm glad she found a friend that was able to help.

I think they relying less and less on flashbacks now to focus development of the present. Didn't take long for Yatterman to strike again. They just never take a break.

I think it's safe to say that this show is aimed primarily for the kiddy audience at this point. It just wants to be a "fun" show that hits every kids' cliche in the book. Although I'm not sure what kid would like the whole dictatorship stuff this show portrays. It's like watching that Flintstones movie from the 90s.

Not surprised to see that after running away barely escaping with their lives time and time again that they would all start to doubt themselves and their mission. It's nice to see internal conflict like this from time to time

I felt bad for the kind man that helped Doronjo in this episode but what he did was noble and I liked that....The mech battle was fun yet again....Liked the flashback that the boys had with Doronjo's mom too

I really liked the foreshadowing that the general is Alouette's dad and that maybe the dog belonged to her or Galina as well....I honestly did not expect this at all =o

The emotions were strong yet again this week and it always hits me in that sweet spot in my heart....ONE TWO THREE!!!!!! YATTERMAN IS A DAMNED FOOL!!!!!

Man this show just continues to make me smile week after week :')

A not so intimidating dog and a cry of sadness.

Everyone determined as a group again at the end. I wanted someone to make a joke about just leaving Gatchan out there.

The man was pretty cool to do all those things knowing the consequences, though death tends to even glorify more of his actions.

I'm also pretty sure they're hinting that Goro is Alluete's dad. He also reacted to the name Galina as well.

Poor Lavender man. He died like a bro (T^T)7

Hmmm, seems like Goro has some connections with Alouette and Galina, but he's hiding this even from himself. Great episode overall, extremely enjoyable, even the animation was better this time. God, I love this soundtrack as well, really good. Ah, Yoru no Yatterman, is my hidden gem of the season, I can smile like an idiot every time I watch this, and it's very emotional at times.

It is aimed at Yatterman fans first and foremost (most of whom are now adults, but will care about countless references and find the style less weird), and almost not at all towards new viewers or those who want a critically good show.
And from what I have heard, the Japanese reception (where the fans are) is as desired.

Mmmmmm, for me is great and I've never heard of Yatterman before that. The only problem that I'm having with the show until now is the meccas appearing out of nowhere. But if even the show doesn't want to take some parts seriously, I guess I have to follow the mood.

Btw, great drum cover:

So exactly what happened with the Flintstones movie then (and I guess the Scooby Doo movie too). Not a fan of it personally, but it made a truckload of money for a reason.

Probably one of the better episodes. It felt more serious and they are advancing the plot, while also dropping hints about Goro and his connection to the characters. Hope they can keep this up next week!

Just as everyone saying, General Goro is most likely Alouette's dad or at least that's what the photograph was foreshadowing.

That lavender guy was amazing; stood alone against the Yatter soldiers while the coward villagers ran away. Much respect for him.

The only thing that bugs me about this show are the random asspulls team Doronbow continues to pull from time to time. When the hell they dug a pitfall beforehand? & How does the mech keep emerging out of nowhere? If instead, the mech was shown to be running to the battlefield, that'd be so much adequate. C'mon now!

Above average episode. Hope we see some decent progressions in the plot soon.

I don't think Garo's hiding it, I think it's more than likely that he was brainwashed and knows nothing about his former life. He thinks that Lord and Lady Yatterman saved his life, and he's also half cyborg now. He's been robotisized in a way.
Though I'm surprised that Galina doesn't recognize him, but I guess he probably looks way different.

Not sure that Galina ever got a good look at him.
The only chance was probably during the execution and it wasn't exactly at his best conditions there.
He noticed, however, that the (robotized) Dog was friendly, so there is a chance that he recognized the Dog.

Meh, average episode.

The fight scenes weren't particularly fun or interesting. They didn't even look good at all. Plus, when they always have some sort of ace up their sleeve that comes in the form of an asspull robot that came out of no where, it takes away from the tension a tad.

I am glad they mentioned that the villain was saved by the Yatterman which gives him reason to follow them and I assume we'll get more details on that later on.

So they question whether or not they should continue their quest to give the Yatterman a forehead flick and then by the end they realize yes, they should. Ya know, that wasn't much of a conflict, especially when nothing much came from it. We did get some backdrop on Boyacky and Tonzura but not much and it only portrayed stuff we already knew.

Dog sniffs Galina, wimpers. Villain recognizes name of Galina. Yeah, it's pretty obvious at this point he's related to the Yatterman somehow(or maybe he's related to the villain). This foreshadowing is so thick there's almost no light left.

The guy who saved Leopard had next to no characterization and was just a 1-episode character AGAIN so I didn't care when he died. He was just a plot device to help Leopard and truth be told, he didn't even need to exist really, they could have cut him out and made a couple adjustments and nothing would have changed.

Not as bad as last episode but the humor wasn't funny(With the exception of when Alouette was waving in the wrong direction), the drama was poor and the pacing was so rushed that the characterization was weak overall.

Oh well, I hope it gets better but it's already half over.

Yeah, that's more likely and even makes more sense due the setting. Galina couldn't recognize even the dog, for obvious reasons. Anyway, could be the other way to Goro as well, though you could say that almost everybody there has been brainwashed. It seems that their dictatorship is on a rather advanced stage, so nothing really matters anymore. Mnnn I wonder if the mom is still alive...

Oh wow, excellent, excellent episode. I'd say it's the best one by far. Plus coming off the meh episode last week. Great character development and story progression. We get some hints about Ali's father who might be General Goro, or perhaps he was a friend of the family at one point.

I would say literally everyone got development. The story was even gripping and emotional, accompanied by an excellent musical score. I just loved it. 5/5

What the hell. Why the fuck is show rated so low?

Call me soft but so far this show has been tugging at my heartstrings since episode 1.

I've had legitimate smiles and I know it's messed up to compare these but I'm seriously getting a Gurren Lagann vibe from this show. At the end up every episode I'm happy that they survived and I keep cheering even though I feel like the whole world is out to kill them.

Yes this show is filled to the brink with cliches (which I usually REALLY hate) but it executes them all so well that I can't help but fall in love with all of our protagonists.

Am I really alone in thinking this? Hell I don't fully completely understand it myself all I know is that so far this is one of my favourites this season. IMO very underrated but I might be alone on that thought

Goro being the father of Galina and Alouette : 0 Even the dog too. Galina would had reconized the dog but he got knocked out.

Goro talking to "Leader X" of the Yatterman Kingdom ?

Goro is very similar to Berg Katse.

The trait I most appreciate of this TV series, the soundtrack is really nice.
Sympathetic narrative that leads finally to advance the plot, there is a link between the general Goro and the two guys who joined the three protagonists.
The quality of the designs and animations and more than good.

It's Yatterman man, that's like being bothered by asspulls and plot holes in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

It was nice seeing that Cashern reference at the beginning haha (If Cashern doesn't do it, who will?)

-alouette is such a precious cinnamon roll
-That little scene where Voltkatze and Elephantus were looking for Leopard was super sweet
-Lavender man is a bro
-man these yatterman goons are totally useless
-pretty good choice of last words
-alouette is such a precious cinnamon roll x 2
-rest in pieces lavender bro

The gang gets separated and somehow they felt more like a team when they were apart than when they were together. After 5 episodes of focusing on the world around them, we finally get an episode dedicated to the three clowns that have been doing all the running around. I especially liked the little banter between Voltkatze and Elephantus where they reaffirmed their reasons behind sticking with Leopard. I also like the continuing trend of the trio just travelling around the Yatterman Kingdom and just meeting all sorts of people there, although it seems lavender dude met his end. Pretty enjoyable episode overall.
