| Aww, I forgot this was the last episode before I started watching it. It was great though, and I'm glad we got to see everyone together again at the end. That ocean scene was great too, wrapped up the entire season nicely. Hopefully there will be a second season, I never really hear complaints about it |

| Handa's mom was a complete quack, but she was so moe in the process. I'm actually glad that Handa didn't win the exhibit, it really showcases his growth and maturity far more as the main focus wasn't about him becoming a winning calligrapher, but him finding his way and a style that could express what became most important to him. Overall this was an extremely hilarious and heartwarming ride with plenty of endearing characters that had me roaring eac episode as well as smiling ear to ear at the sweet moments. Naru in particular is just an incredibly awesome character and this is an instance where having children voice children worked out well (as opposed to something like Aishiteruze Baby). The first episode is still my favorite and I wish that the rest of the show had stayed on par with it, but it still managed to remain strong through and through. Solid 8/10 |

| Great series. I loved it to pieces. Just felt so close to all the main characters, and I wished the fun could just last forever when Sensei got back to the island. Pleasant animation, adorable voice actors...and a really meaningful message too. I can't see where this anime went wrong. 8/10 |
| That was a great end to a great series. ^_^ And his mom was so adorable, in a scary sort of way. :D It would be interesting if they did a special episode where his parents would come to visit. |

| Very solid finale sucks such a heartwarming and funny show has come to a end! 8/10 seriously Sei's mom doe she might be on the crazy side but i wish there was more of her lol think one the best parts of the show were how the kids actually acted how kids their age would always put a smile on my face whenever Naru and them were having a blast! |

| Yeah, it really was the best show of this summer. That show was so simple, yet full of life. I felt like I was part of the group. That last frame with the drawing and them screaming ''thank you'' in the background was so cute :3 In the end, he got the fifth place... But he sure matured a lot to not take it as an insult or whatever. Instead, he just understood that he did a great job, but lacked of experiances. His welcome back was quite warm, but not filled with that much emotion, just with the satisfaction of seeing him back. The fact that he wrote the names of all his friends from the island is so cute. He was so shy about it xD His mom should have come sooner. She's so hilarious, such a drama queen. |

| I don't know the first thing about calligraphy, but this anime was fantastic. A very relaxing watch. In fact I think this was my fave of the season. The characters were all brilliant, the mood and light humour were all well balanced. I wish it were longer and hope for a season 2. 9/10 |

| It's finally over.. the anime that I looked forward to every single week. Sad that it's done, but it was extremely enjoyable! It sits on my favorite list and won't move. I gave it a 9 outta 10, hoping for a second season. |
| Have to say this one with ZnT were the best anime of this season (didn't watch Ao Haru Ride, so don't know about that one). I loved it. Very funny, heartwarming and amazing. Tells me how fun the life on the country can be. All of all I will give it 7/10. The last ep. deserved 4/5. Sensei won right. I am 99 % he won, but never got it confirmed? :D |

To be honest I would give it 7/10, not higher but that's just my opinino. :) Even OP and death note for me haven't got 10/10. For me Death Note is the best manga/anime I have read/seen. Don't know about the anime, but how they put up the plot, especially up to vol. 6 and the last vol. were just a masterpiece. |

| That's a scary mother. Kinda cute. All those punches. The sea, I knew they would bring up that topic again. Glad Handa can appreciate its beauty now. That reunion!And I am glad Handa grew up as a person, he is finally accepting things as they are. Proud of him. Tbh the ED felt just a tiny bit lacking. I don't know where (maybe I watch too many melodramatic SOL shows) but I think it still lacked something. Overall, one of my fav shows of this season, so really sad on it ending... I demand a 2nd season! I think we can get one, the ED seemed pretty open. 10/10 |

| Great last episode! Wrapped everything up very nicely. Great closure all around. Barakamon was a complete joy to watch. Heart warming, funny, silly, and relaxing are just a few words I could use to describe this show. Fantastic visuals with great dynamic lighting. The characters were the strongest aspect of the show. They were interesting, and we genuinely cared for them. The interesting dynamic from the city boy Seishuu, to the country folk of the island was both hilarious and interesting. Naru was especially fantastic, as was her Voice Actresses performance. Suzuko Hara did a great job! It also provides a great message, that we all shouldn't take life as serious as we do. We need to stop, relax, and smell the roses. Appreciate those around us and just keep on smiling, because life is supposed to be a fun-filled adventure. This was definitely the gem of the season. I'd recommend it to anyone. 10/10. |
| A pretty straightforward rural place revitalizing a city person that was executed rather well. I didn't like Naru, so that detracted from my experience greatly, but Handa-sensei was an excellent male lead and the Miwa-Tama combi was fun to watch. 7/10. |

| 5/5 Episode that seems to transition into narrative style SOL. The first part highlights the mother of Handa letting us discover his character, really nice and caring in his own way! XD From the plot of this series I was not expecting much, I thought from the beginning in a simple SOL and so it was, but I do not regret the fact that you have not delved into the technical aspect of being a calligrapher or another. Wonderful characters not so stereotypical and almost genuine, thank especially the fact that it did not show any loli, but simple and pretty girls, nice and pestiferous as they should be for all children. The character design was good, but it was often a bit rough, I hope that the designs will improve in the BD version. Very nice OST and the ending. For now, my vote is 8/10! P.S. I will miss the characters Barakamon! T_T |
