| ANIME OF THE SEASON! 10/10 This anime brought everything this season, a great story, great characters, humor, happiness, tears, friendships, development, and NARU! Even though Handa placed 5th in the calligraphy competition he didn't let it bother him because what he showcased were the most important people to him! The welcome home was AMAZING! The conversation he had with Naru at the end was emotional. I didn't cry as much as I was expecting, but it still touched every inch of my soul. Really hoping that this gets a second season someday!  |

| Though im not involved in calligraphy, this spoke to me in so many levels, story was lovely, all the characters were all lovable, animation was actually really good for a 1 cour So. Usually give anime that have connected to me directly in my life 10's and this is one of them, if not it would have been a solid 8. |

| Lol, his mother. Such a lovely and kind mother, going berserk only at the thought of her precious son going to the "dark" side. She seems so frail, but she actually pack some punch. Great series, a really hearthwarming series. Characters are all lovable, and you do see the MC changing, developing... or more like struggling at it. Did enjoy this alot, 8/10. |

| I loved it, it had so many things going for it, even the small details were beautiful. Shows like this deserve another season and they usually don't get one. 8.5/10 |

| I didnt like a lot of kids in a show but this anime was really a fun and enjoyable ride. motivation and hilarious. I like how kids were the "adults" instead. everyone needs to have fun always in your life. super 9/10. vote for s2.♥♥♥♥ |

| Mom of the year right there. Loved her in this episode. I can't decide if I want to give this a 9/10 or 10/10 so I'll go with a 10 for now. I'm glad I didn't wait to watch this, it was truly an amazingly fun watch. |

| Easily a 10/10 from me. What a heartwarming and beautiful slice of life, the way they develop the character and progress the story, blend in with your slice of life funny moments and touching moments totally hits the spot! Some part of the anime just makes you feel like tears welling up in your eyes, and then most of the time it leaves you with a warm and fuzzy grin over your face. My only regret is that handa's mom got introduced a little bit too late, she's an amazing character lol, gotta need more of these. |

| Handa's parents are pretty awesome, I wish they had been introduced earlier. So happy that they showed how he matured by being grateful about his 5th place :) Truly funny and heartwarming, one of the gems this season :) Really wasn't expecting Barakamon to be as good as it was. So many good anime ended this week ;-; I'm going to miss Naru, precious Naru <3 Crossing my fingers for a season 2 :D |

| I'mma be crusty af if this series don't get a second season at some point. Yeah, very solid 8/10 here and probably in my top 3 favorite slice of life series. It was funny, adorable, and above all, just straight up charming. |

| His rooms looks like it was hit by a tornado or something lol. Miwa fooled the kids... poor kids T.T LOL, it looks like Handa's mother is quite against him going back to the island XD. Awwww, he thinks of the island as "home" :3 I've noticed that his father is rather old compared to his young and beautiful mother. Kawafuji has turned into a traitor! Ah, so Handa's dad has also been to that island now his mom is using her fast punch technique on him XD. Awwwww, lil Seishuu was soooo kawaii :3 RIP Kawafuji... Dem feelings T.T Oh c'mon... they still haven't cleaned up the house... Hahaha, he's still acting on impulse and having painful experiences XD. Damn, only 5th place and Kanzaki got 7th... Now gimme my freaking 2nd season! |

| Handa's mother was awesome. Reminds me of certain characters that are unique in every anime. The pure comedy didn't disappoint at all. This was fun while it lasted. This episode was touching as well as heartwarming. Especially when Naru and the others gave a warm welcome to Handa as he was entering in. He's finally 'home' where he belongs. 9/10. Amazing! |

| That was a decent final episode.. Well, this show ended up being way more entertaining than I expected it to be, wow. I can say I enjoyed almost every episode a lot. It felt like the show just had a naturally relaxing sort of flow, with enjoyable characters, and funny unexpected moments. I think its made me more open to the SOL genre, which I previously dismissed as boring and not worth my time.. 8/10.. |

| after watching this anime, i just realized that the void is real. Y____Y ill really miss this series for sure, hope they'll release a 2nd season soon, i guess i'll just rewatch it for the meantime. didnt expect his masterpiece only placed 5th, i kinda feel like the want to see the 1st placer. good thing sensei accepted it maturely and wholeheartedly this time. i guess the one they're calling 'sensei' learned a lot from them. i feel sorry for kawafuji though, pretty sure he developed some kind of phobia with beautiful harmless looking moms. :D overall great anime, never failed to make me laugh and smile every episode. :) |

| LOL the kids procrastinated so long on cleaning Handa's house XD XD Man, Handa's mom is such an entertaining character.. those thousand punches!!! XD too bad she only appeared in the last two episodes. Kawafuji suddenly changing faction and theng getting pummeled was hilarious XD I am sooooo gonna miss these guys. When this season started I didn't expect that I'd find a masterpiece anime. Obviously I want a 2nd season but this is also one of those series that's still perfect even if it only has one (like Usagi Drop). AOTS.. no, AOTY even! It might be a veeerry long time before there's another masterpiece like this. 10/10. |

| I don't want this show to be over. It was my favorite anime of the season and probably in my top 50 favorite anime of all time. It made me so happy. I will miss Naru and her faces :( 8/10 |
