| That was simply awesome! So much stuff in one episode! 3 cool fights, then Koenma vs George bet for strawberry bun and lots of other funny scenes between. Also now we know that Hiei actualy have and gentle side of him.=] And yeah, almost fogot.... the dark side of Koenma! xD |

| This arc is more entertaining than the last despite the fact that they won easily until now. This last guy also seems better than the bishounen dragonball looking guy from the previews arc. Can't wait for the fight. Btw Koema is more evil than all the demons together lol! |

Likewise, I came here looking for a discussion of whether some demons' extreme transformation abilities (as just seen in episode 22) ought to make gender transitioning easier. Apparently they don't, at least as far as the reproductive system is concerned. Do demons reproduce the same way humans do? I ask because in much mythology, spirits are nonbinary and can choose to take the form of either/neither gender as they choose. But demons in YYH seem more carnal. This reminds me of a discussion of orc sex I read in 2003 on TheOneRing.com (Tolkien Online at the time). Tolkien wrote that "the Orcs had life and multiplied after the manner of the Children of Ilúvatar," whereas in the Peter Jackson films Saruman grew his uruks "like potatoes," as one user described it. | Wow Yusuke won those first two fights hella legit, no gimmicky luck garbo. And that third one was fine too, maybe a little silly. They're a little bit too over powered for my taste but I'm sure that'll change. Nice breath of fresh air with these fights. Also Yusuke is anti trans, that was harsh! |

| Wow transphobic bullshit in the first half. That really tainted the rest of the episode. We've already seen Yusuke be sort of creepy to Keiko, but that seemed maybe sort of playful. Yusuke had some good words, but his actions here sucked. It isn't really surprising given the time period and place, but I don't know why so many Japanese stories have to include some "trap" stuff. Anyway, the rest was pretty good. I especially liked the fight against the little bat/ninja dude. They had to use intelligence to beat him. We're also seeing a lot of Kuwabara, though he is also being a bit ridiculous with his Yukina thing. And I should mention that Toguro is strange to me. Like in the last episode, he killed that beast and said that it was wrong to do so. I guess he had to because of his contract? I guess it just seems like he should have broken the contract then, but perhaps keeping his word is more important than doing what he thinks is right. I'm interested in the fight between the brothers and the heroes. |

In fact, a lot of old shows I've watched featured LGBT characters portrayed in a good way, such as Saint Seiya and Sailor Moon. Heck, even the ones that don't portray their LGBT characters in a good way like Hokuto no Ken at least are more respectful towards them (looking at you Juda). I honestly don't even know if I'm gonna continue this show after that anymore... I don't remember any of that from my childhood... I feel sick now. What the fuck chill dude XD |

Not mentioning kuwabara's reaction and the fact that yusuke assaulted her wtf, but just think about yuusuke's extremely offensive speech, full of transphobia, and now ask yourself who do you think was even the villain of that scene? I know the context of this show very well, but still i have seen mcs from this era being more respectful than this towards ppl..so it bothered so much. I really hope i can forget that scene.. So uncomfortable for me, even if i wasn't a woman myself i know i would feel the same way about it bc im a human being lmao. So you folks in here have no excuse to lack empathy about this episode// |

| The bad guys in this show are so dull and Kuwabara thing for Yukina has turned him into a more annoying guy, thankfully Koenma still entertaining. Yuusuke saying he would fight anything even a baby was way too funny. I already forgot why are these "bad" guys doing a bet. Now Kuwabara has telepathy? How convenient but then I remember Botan could do something like that besides being used for some boring damsel in distress moment. Why is Hiei taking so long to get to that stupid house? Isn't he super fast? Stop daydreaming and do something! |
| This episode decidely didnt age well, especially the groping and the "Don't half-ass it!" line, to be fair its not like Yusuke really cares about her gender most of the scene, he just wants to kick her ass and save Yukina. Atleast Togashi has matured a lot since then considering Hunter x Hunter does a great job with representation. |
