| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Good episode. The OP song was pretty catchy. I've been reading the manga and it's fairly relaxing with a likeable character cast. Haru is pretty cute and I like her interaction with Seishuu so far even though I think he's somewhat annoyed by it. The way she apologizes is just adorable :p I think this could be a gem of the season. ED song was pretty good imo. |

| Getting price, but getting trouble from that old guy's comments that makes him angry... He had to go to the countryside (one bus per day, and different life style as city). His new house has a kid who considers it as her secret space! Interacting with her, seems like he can learn to how to face others well. As well as the way to survival, in different way. What?! that old man that "rode" him is her grandfather?! Slow yet warm villagers. lol @ after the ED. ED: "Innocence" by NoisyCell |

| So good! I was smiling throughout :) Such a fun series this is gonna be ^^ That first scene was so lol XD DAT FALCON PUNCH!!! Reminded me of Uchuu Kyoudai's Head butt but this one was even more awesome XD And loved the OP and ED ^^ Handa's personality is pretty nice. And Naru is just so adorable <3 (Love her accent) Their interactions were so much fun :D I'm already attached to these 2 and I'm sure as this develops their bond will get much stronger probably as a father daughter relationship. It's been since Usagi Drop at least since I've seen something like this and I can't wait to see more :3 Loved the part where he keeps throwing her out and she comes back and the part he threw her in the sea and she pulled him in ^^ Really put a wide smile on my face :) The end with the village coming to help was really heartwarming too. And lol'd so much at how he went crazy with his calligraphy at the end XDXDXD "Scary" XD |

| Nice start! It reminds me of Yotsubato, which is already in my favourites, so I think I'm going to like this. In just one episode Kotoishi was thrown out of the house three times, took two pillows to the face and was thrown to the sea once! lol |

| This was really funny, cute and warm!!! Naru!!! >.< Her energy, straightforwardness and cheerfulness!!! Hanada able to put up with her, until she talks about his calligraphy xD Those other kids too! Hina's reactions and that jab! The village's warmth at the end with everyone helping him move in! This is going to be amazing! |

| Having read the manga... This is not the Naru voice I imagined... Naru's voice can totally pass as a boy... oh well, I will get used to it soon enough. Interesting SoL premise. Will continue to watch! |

| FINALLY. This season has been way too underwhelming but Barakamon has broken that. <333 Naru is absolutely adorable and sounds like an actual child than some loli. The MC is a little pessimistic but he gets better in the episode. Brilliant visuals and scenery and the comedy is great. A pretty good episode and I genuinely look forward to the rest of the show. Glad I got one good show in my pocket this Summer in airing times. |

| I love Naru's voice and accent!! I'm having a bit of a hard time trying to understand what she's saying but I guess I just have to get used to it lol overall incredibly cute! love the ED, and the OP is really nice too I'm so happy Barakamon got an anime adaptation, I hope the rest won't disappoint~ PD: can't wait to see Hiroshi! |

| I actually really enjoyed that, I did see i think one or two of the PVs and to be honest I was not really sure what to expect from this. But I'm really glad I watched it. Naru is really cute too and Hina at the end there was really funny, I didn't expect that to happen.  |

| Is it weird that I found this more entertaining than Tokyo Ghoul, Aldnoah Zero and SAO 2? Not saying those shows are bad or anything, but this was so damn good. xD My fav start from the summer anime that have come out so far. |

| Good first episode, probably the gem of the season. I really want to know how old Hara Suzuko is, she does a great job as Naru. The Opening and Ending are both quite good, I especially like the Opening quite much. Can't wait for the next episodes, the cast seems to be extremely likable. |

| What's this? A heartwarming story with a little girl and it isn't all Moe? Incredible! It kind of reminds me of a mix of Silver Spoon and Usagi Drop... Made me feel such happiness *-* Reminds me of a place I used to visit, similar neighborhood to the one in this episode. Heartwarming, mature with no archetype characters. Helloooo favorite show so far of the season. |

| The first episode was fantastic! The little girl is so adorable, and I also loved the other two little kids. I was smiling this entire episode and it was really funny. The OP is really catchy and relaxing, as well! I agree with Stark, this may be the gem of the season. Looking forward to a great Summer! |
| I loved the final few seconds after the ending. hehehe Honestly, I was not sure what to expect as I was really skeptical about my decision to watch the first episode. Yet like some of the others who posted earlier I too feel this may end up being my favorite summer season anime. Some shows try too hard -- this one seems to have that right balance and good "feeling". The interaction between characters is great. Oh boy.. to think I may get hooked on a show "all about calligraphy!" Episode 2, please! |

| This was a very nice first episode, that punch near the beginning caught me off guard, but it was hilarious. The animation is quite nice as well, and Naru is a fun character, there's so much life to her, it's just so great. I can see that Handa is facing the fact that he was wrong, I'm curious on how much the time he spends on the island will change him. If things keep up, I'm sure that this show will turn out as one of my favorites for this season. |
