THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Oh, well this got awkward again. Poor Sasame...her mind is breaking now. Being affected by the corpse song sucks. On another note, Akashi is making his resolve so I guess I'll look forward to what he has to do. Oh and I think we're getting new theme songs soon. Oh, looks like we get to see some of Akashi's past too. |

This episode focused on feelings of some characters again. I'm glad that Raika and Iwato finally seemed to start to take part in this story. And I sympathize with Kasane. She lost her lover and decided to make him LIM. And she didn't know the reason why the LIM of Aoshi refused her until now. I think If I were her... Can everyone make LIM by your lover? This would be a tragedy. Also Sasame's thought that she will become LIM by self-sacrifice is a tragedy. Anyway, the Lightless Realm seems to have been born by a ritual of suspicious cult that Sasame and Tsugumi of childhood took part in. And this episode showed some sexy shots XD P.S. I think that Akashi's strong decision that he want to destroy the Corpse will go to a bad result. I guess it would be the bad end of this cour. |

I don't understand Sasame. She really does seem like she wants self pity. Turn herself into a LIM? How lame. It really is so sad for Emiru, that the ones who displayed a lot more concern for her were Iwato and Mahmu. After Akashi learned that Sasame was infected, he broke down as I expected. It basically became all about Sasame. IT also almost seems like Okada is mocking Emiru's strong will power. With the way Mahmu cried over and it really felt like Okada enjoys toying with fans who like stronger girls also the so called self-sacrfise and calling it beautiful made me puke when Sasame was explaining stuff. Especially since most of the kids don't really even interact that much with each other to be bonded so deeply. ALso, the only reason Akashi is going to get Heito and Emiru back is because - Emiru is the second LIM and chances are that Sasame wouldn't have to become a LIM. What the heck does Minashi mean when he said he was in love with Akashi and who are these cult like people in the flashback? I really want to know about Tsugumi more and more now. |

thats a nice episode. Nice looking at least everyone are featured ( apart from Akashi and Sasame). Lol when Akashi said this, I was like, Emiru was waiting for you since the first fucking episode. So now he's saying, finally there is someone else waiting for him, i was like, poor Emiru, i wish she can move on later in the story - if she make it alive. - It was heartbreaking to see Maamu that way, I know how she feel. I wish they feature her background in one of the episode soon. She such a kind girl.. - Lol i was thinking about astral body projection, Tsugumi might be inside sasame lol, joke joke. - I still dont get it though, i mean, Akashi love Sasame because of Sasame or was it because of Tsugumi? Since he thinks Sasame is Tsugumi. - When Minashi showed that vision of her and Tsugumi, Sasame seems pretty shocked, she is obviously hiding something. - Minashi is most probably the anti - hero in this series, im looking forward to Minashi. poor Minashi -Emiru-Heito ( Friendzone moment ) * a moment of silence* SonicRush said: How do we know the mysterious girl's name is Tsugumi when they haven't given her name yet? And so everybody knows that Sasame is turning. Everybody being scared or self-blaming. A really short glimpse at Minashi and Sasame's past. Some bonding moments that is no longer around just Akashi! Akashi is determined to not let the same things happen again! Akashi's smiles are kinda creepy. Watching him able to cry was like a moment of relief! |

sigh... Let's see everything I hated about this episode.... Sasame... Sasame... Sasame... Oh yeah... and Kasane's crying again for like the 20th episode in a row.... (clearly an exaggeration) The only thing I liked was Mahmu and Raika and her partner. Other than that this felt like the biggest waste of an episode yet. I'm seriously fed up of Sasame and I hope she turns into a damn LIM. |

I hope we know the truth about Tsugumi and Sasame. I personally think Sasame likely wanted what Tsugumi orignally had - Akashi. If there is going to be a twist it is that Sasame has some sort of mind connect with Tsugumi and because of that connect is drawn to Akashi like Tsugumi was. Minashi is very creepy but he also the one who likely knows that the Sasame/Akashi/Tsugumi triangle is what might have caused the lightless realm in the first place. |

More character development between Akashi and Sasame, Iwato and Raika. The emotions seem melodramatic at best, Mahmu's pretty much non-existent in the plot so far with Iwato and Raika at a close 2nd. Still got a long way to go so no qualms yet. Akashi indirectly confessing his feelings? and realising that his creepy smile wasn't from being happy but being sad.. Minashi's character seems interesting maybe going for the Yandere approach. Got a feeling Sasame will turn into a LIM, and another thing that strikes my curiosity, when Aoshi pioneered the Argent, did it have a LIM..? |

Another boring episode, slightly better than usual though. The lack of atmosphere so far is astonishing. Literally everything that happens doesn't leave an impact, it's just w/e. I've tried searching for a single character to give a fuck about, but I can't find one for the life of me. That's another problem with this show. Even though the setting is ok-ish, and there is story/character development, every single character feels so bland; and there are like 10 different characters or so. There have been a few enticing moments; until you focus on the characters and snap out of it that is. The only nice touch so far has been the bgm, and even that isn't that great. We are in the middle of it though, it still has room for improvement, but so far its disappointing/below average |

Pretty sure next episode will be shocking to Akashi since he claims that someone now is waiting for his return in the normal world but there is likely someone waiting for him in the lightless realm as well. Considering in ep4, there is cries from Tsugumi asking Akashi to not leaver her behind. |

I feel like Akashi isn't actually going in there just so he can save Heito and Emiru. He's only going in there to save them because there's somebody "waiting" for him outside. If that scene with Akashi and Sasame hadn't happened, he probably wouldn't have bothered (again) Dx I really liked the scene with Iwato and Raika. That seemed like actual relationship development (of any kind). |

Ok that's it, I'm dropping this show. Emiru turning into a machine right when she starts getting development ? Ok Half the cast being useless after 10 episodes ? Ok That same half getting basically no development ? Ok MC's twisted jealousy that somehow turns into hatred then love then... Ok, I can deal with all that. But what I can't take anymore is the forced pairing. It feels like the author is just shoving Akashi x Sasame down our throat for some reason. Everything is now about Sasame for Akashi. ALL she did for the entire show is singing and being the cliché shy girl, but we now have to deal with her being MC's love interest. Hearing Akashi say "there is finally someone waiting for me" when Emiru was basically begging for attention since episode 1 made me die a little inside. I see lots of people saying "omg when the truth about Sasame not being Tsugumi will be reavaled crazy stuff will happen". I disagree. Here's whats going to happen according to me: -Akashi finds out -We get an entire episode full of angst and indecision -Akashi remembers how Sasame "supported" him during all these crazy, forced, bonding moments -Akashi forgives Sasame for not telling and loves her even more for some absurd reason I loved the first episodes where we learned how unforgiving their world is but now we're getting too much crying Sasame for my tastes. |

Finally we get to see why Akashi seemed to hate his family. I think it would hurt anyone to have heard someone call them creepy, especially a family member. And he also finally understands the reason behind his creepy smile. He's the type to get really hurt but doesn't acknowledge it, and instead smiles as a defense mechanism. Minashi as weird as always. |

Minashi is a fucking creep man. Like so creepy you cant put it into words. I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be the villain or something. Maybe he has some weird hard on for the corpse girl from when they were kids, and is trying to fuck with everyone in the hopes that he can be with her again or something. Idk... More Kasane crying, more Sasame being the pitiful center of attention. I don't see Akashi saving her. The crazy doc just sent him out there to get the Sable and to be a lab rat. She'll probably be dead by the time he gets back. Good thing is, we're almost at the second cour, so we'll get to hear Nano's song soon! |

I am looking forward to SableED. Hopefully it will focus on Emiru and Sable. At this point I am watching what Sable can really do. Especially since Emiru's wish is to defeat the corpse. I hope even as a LIM she gives it her all. Any romance for her is now dead anyway. It also really sad that Akashi goes on a rant about how Sasame should live and be happy even though Emiru wished about this for herself from the bottom on her heart when she had her last conversation with him. While Heito is more obnoxious, atleast he is open about being a crazy lunatic. Minashi on the other hand is the silent psychopath that they should really be scared of. |

So many bad vibes from Minashi. What a creeper, lol. But seriously, the truth/details behind him is killing me, so I'm really looking forward to learning about that. Also some intriguing memories about Tsugumi (apparently?) and Sasame. Perhaps something to do with the birth of the Lightless Realm? Some OKAY character moments overall... ...However, on the negative side, we still have Okada shoving tears of anguish down our throats. C'mon, can you please let up on the water works for once? She's probably some kind of fairy that steals audiences' tears in their sleep just so she can power her characters' incessant need to cry. "Self sacrifice, how beautiful." Not sure why I'm only noticing this now but the fact that Maamu is narrating the story will probably be an important plot point. Also, it seems that whatever she writes about comes true, like she is the writer of this story of something. This would coincide with the fact that she is narrating the story. This episode pretty much confirms that Akashi is in love with Sasame and it would have to take some major plot twist to change this. It was pretty obvious that his love interest was either the Corpse Girl or Sasame, cuz the OP and ED rarely ever lies. Yes, yes, I know it sucks that Sasame is beating the crap out of your waifu Emiru right now but all your hate for her probably not gonna change anything. This might be the episode that bridges into things finally folding out and the real meat is gonna start showing itself. This show was already better than 95% of the current anime but looks likes it'll probably just get better. Trippwire01 said: "Self sacrifice, how beautiful." Threw up in my mouth a little. Are you talking about his sarcasm when he said that line or are you saying that self-sacrifice makes you throw up? And self-sacrifice is indeed a beautiful thing. You won't find many who will willingly to do it, it might not always be "right," it can even be cruel, and it might even be worth it in the end, but I can say first hand that it is a beautiful thing. Unloved people who's never experience self-sacrifice from others can turn out to be pretty horrible, sad, and angry people. |

Really now.... Sasame wants to live as a LIM how wonderful... -________- she wants to live unlike Emiru she only wanted to be a LIM because she wanted to kill the Corpse... Akashi only cares about Sasame like she's the only person in the world and nobody else exists.. I don't like how Sasame acts it really bothers me. She can't do much and she wants to live and all that crap. Plus Akashi only cares about her because he thought she was the girl he meet in that forest or whatever. But, man was this episode depressing... as always.. Poor Mahmu she thinks it's her fault awww :( I love how she starts to care later on in the episode. |

I think you guys are all wrong about Minashi. He made his position obvious after the forehead touch did he not? His "I love Akashi" just gave the game away. He's obviously in total Yandere love with Akashi, notice how the only ones affected with the Necrometal curse are (a) girls, and more importantly (b) Akashi's potential love interests. That pretty much explains everything. He's obsessed with Akashi and wants to kill off the competition. Having them turn into LIMs is just an unrelated side effect XD Jokes aside, did I understand something wrong here? Aoshi's will in the Argent refuses to let Kasane to pilot him into the Lightness Realm, because no one would ever want their loved ones to go to that plalce. Since Akashi is allowed to pilot the hell out of the Argent, I guess that mean that Aoshi never viewed Akashi as family, nor a loved one, then? Why the hell would you deny your lover to do something but allow your own brother to do that very same thing, if not because you hate his guts and want him to die (on that same note, I kind of realized why Emiru would allow Heito to pilot her). Sasame giving Akashi a reason to live, I don't see what's wrong with this part. Akashi only began realizing and analyzing his own emotions after walking around in the Lightness Realm. The fact that he was emotionally incapable of recognizing Emiru's obsession with him prior to all of that should not be held against him. We as anime viewers may feel the injustice, but did you not try to look at things from his perspective? From his point of view, Sasame really is the first. |

I've never even posted on MAL before but I'm going to say this anime is shit. It's bland, it's attempts at atmosphere are mostly hilarious as I'm pretty sure half of this anime is just watching someone's face from a weird ass angle to imply how psychotic they are, and thank you for setting the mood M3, but its episode 11, you can set the mood all night but if we don't get laid at some point then it isn't worth a thing. Almost all the characters are irrelevant, minashi is that one character who does that thing where they're the "mysterious" character who always refers to that "thing" and whispers into peoples ears with the audience not being able to hear it to make a sense of "mystery". But it's mostly boring. Akashi is super bland, if he isn't busy acting emotionless then he's busy crying over his brother. The one he hated anyways but not really apparently. The chick he's into Sasame is terribly boring, we're suddenly supposed to care for her because she's slowly turning into necrometal but come on. I mean really come on, she's taken the biggest back seat like the rest of the cast for almost the duration of the episodes that have come out so far and now suddenly its her turn and she's turning into necrometal. Maybe as an emotional point to change Akashi in a different way okay, but for the audience I don't know how some of you can care really. It's like okay this person hasn't mattered for like 8 episodes then, oh hey, it's her turn for you to care about her! Okay! Go, be emotional over Sasame now! She's gonna die lol! Also: creepy smiling Akashi ("Eh? Why am I smiling?" Fuckin creep). Heito is the most one dimensional character in the entire show, I"m pretty sure half his lines are just the words "my Emiru!" speaking of which Emiru was possibly the ONLY character with some form of development which was cut short for the sake of...what? I don't know what really, to make this more emotional? But not really because she was killed so early on and they harp on so much about her the viewer is kind of just "meh, over it" when they mention her. "She kept saying she wanted to defeat the Corpse!" Okay we get that, can we just........move on to the part where we attempt to defeat the Corpse or nah? Because I feel like M3 is going to keep trying to be mysterious and clever until around episode 22 where they look up and go OH SHIT we have two episodes left! Fuck! Unload all the truths! Blow all the minds! and just rush through (looking at you Brynhildr). I kind of last pick watched M3 every week and finally I realized that when there was anything else to watch I'd watch it first before M3, I almost reluctantly opened M3 every week to watch it and now that everything else has ended I realize I don't even want to put in the effort to finish it. Which is rare, if I'm this far into an anime I usually finish it just because you know, in for a dime in for a dollar right? Needless to say this is a huge rant and I'm dropping M3 here. TLDR; M3 is dragging its feet so damn hard, it shows virtually no thought towards the cast until sudddenly something happens and we're expected to care (we don't), the reaper/sable design is cool. but everyone else drives like shitty 1992 honda civic sedans compared to them and the oh so scary corpse has shown up like a grand total of once. it explains nothing, it gives nothing, it thinks its darker than black meets valvrave but really its just watching meets dropped |

I just don't know what to feel about this anime if it doesn't pick up soon. Hopefully it'll become better in the 2nd half. Gotta say, I'm pretty much in the same spot. I really don't know if I like it or not, I mean one second I'm thinking about dropping it, then I'm thinking I'll stick with it, then I'm thinking I'll drop it, etc. By the end of each episode I'm still left debating what I should do. Akashi x Sasame ... awe. The narration was a bit off-putting... could have done something else to get the point across... @Raeiden I can't really blame you. M3 has so much lost potential because of writing that feels amateur. I've seen worse, though, and I am enjoying the atmosphere to the extent that I actually like the anime, despite it's obvious flaws. |

As it's going on now, I wouldn't mind if this anime's going to have a dark ending to it. Actually, I look forward to it. |

Interesting how akashi defined the reason why people cry and then he used it as reference for his brother and his brothers wife. |

A beginner's guide to depression: the Animation. M3 just keeps getting heavier with each episode, I wonder if I'll even be able to carry it by the end. That moment when Akashi and Sasame connected was brilliant. Very heartfelt considering the chemistry that's been building between them. It was also very eerie when they showed his smiling reflection as they embraced. Sasame was able to see through to his true feelings, however, and from what I gathered Akashi smiles to hide his sorrow. That flashback seems to suggest that he believed he was abandoned and crying wouldn't help him. |

The Iwato and Raika bit was actually not to bad... But it does not FIT at all. I could see them being in a slice-of-life anime, but something like this? Man, this series can't hammer any point home because it's mostly void of complexity. It's very boring and the times it is interesting, it doesn't seem to have satisfying development. I initially thought Heito was going to be fun to watch but he's so one dimensional like most of the cast, I've lost hope. Minashi adds some mystery, but who knows when they will make it relevant. |
