Originally back when endless eight aired, I just stopped watching after 6 or 7 eps, but then at the start of this year, I started to rewatch Haruhi and got through all of the endless eight episodes. It just felt way easier to watch them all in one go rather than wait week after week for them.

And I recently started to rewatch the series again, and tonight I have finished endless eight again. Dunno how the hell I managed to do that thou. XD

Signed, lol.

Just finished it, but I'm still not sure why exactly it happened. Well, take that back; technically, I do, but it's still a kind of insufficient explanation if that was all.

So basically, Haruhi had an inkling of concern that the rest hadn't finished their homework and purely, from that subconscious feeling alone, [unknowingly] conceived the 500-year loop so they wouldn't all return to school with incomplete work? It seems a bit weird to me because she genuinely didn't appear to care, much, or even seem to have such a thought cross her mind...but hey, aside from that, in a meta-sense I thought the whole thing was a pretty daring experiment. A little stupid and exploitative in one way, but in another quite exemplary; I mean, no one else has tried this before to this extent. Now that someone has, it can be used for reference, good or bad. The virtue of trying something avant-garde, I guess. :P

Yes I watched all 8 episodes of EE and it was a most definitely frustrating experience; especially at the end of the ep when Kyon can't say anything to Haruhi and she walks out the door. It was worth it, particularly when we consider the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.

another completionist here,
so there was no way i wasn't going to watch all of it.
And i wanted to get through it as fast as possible so i marathon-ed it in one sitting.

...i never wanna re-watch that arc ever again.
Even when i come back and rewatch this show.
At least I now know which episodes of that arc is worthy of rewatching.
(Episodes 1, 2, and 8. And maybe one or two more episodes in the middle)

I did however like all the variations they went through, like all the different shots, different dialogue tones and attitudes, different outfits, etc.

Just finished it! It was cool seeing the small changes and trying to figure out the answer to the whole thing. By episode 5 or 6, I started thinking of the possibility that the homework is the answer to the problem. I was still shock that it was the answer.

It was a ballsy move to do the endless eight with actual eight different episodes. I would have been PO'd if I had watched it at the time of the release. With that said, it's one of the coolest yet one of the most annoying crap I've seen in anime. I wouldn't rewatch this ever again.

Watched all 8!

Am I the only one that actually enjoyed all 8? I mean, at least they looped a highly entertaining episode with lots of things going on, and I felt like the mystery as to why things were looping was teased well enough to keep me coming back. Skipping any of the episodes would've felt like cheating--I just *had* to stick with it the way it was meant to be seen, and I honestly didn't grow bored with it. Watched two episodes one day and then three eps the next two. Done in three days and it was a unique experience that I will look back on fondly.

did i really just watch the same thing 8 times in the same sitting.

what am i doing with my life lmao. Eight episode was definitely way to much. I agree they could have just made 4 episodes and would still have the same impact. I feel sorry for the ones that were watching this series as it was being aired. Imagine each week, waiting for the new episode to come out and only finding it to be the same episode with minor changes and no idea when it will end.. well at least i can say i survived endless 8 :^).

Watched it.

I am by no means a completionist. In fact with Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, I skipped episodes 6-25 or something like that (happy I did, garbage).

Te endless eight I enjoyed though. I said it before:

Me said:
It must have been far too expensive to have been a troll move. Endless eight was made very deliberately to make a point, but that point was lost on a lot of viewers. KyoAni is partially to blame for that though. I personally quite enjoyed the endless eight, because of the detail, the progressively more brooding atmosphere underlined by the background music, the small hints that left you forming your own theory on why they were stuck there, and the minor differences between each episodes that together granted some real insights in the relationship between Haruhi and Kyon. However, the eventual resolution was just too simple and emotionless. There is an explanation for that too, but it just wasn't very well done. It's probably because of this that people feel trolled and forget about what was actually good about the episodes that preceded the ending.

Yeah, i did it. It was tedious and mostly uninteresting. To make it worse i watched it all almost in one go.. I'm not quite sure whether i regret it or not. I wouldn't recommend others to watch all of it though. Just watch the beginning and last 2 eps or sth. Also, i expected more from the ending - compared to the loop experience it's really bland and without any impact.
I hope the story becomes more interesting from now on...

One of the best experiences ever...I binge watch it...

I have to say though, while watching it, the endless 8 was torturous.

My emotions over the 8

1.) This is fun!
2.) Huh?
3.) OMG!
4.) Uggg
5.) Help me
6.) Please, Please, Please finish it
7.) You idiot! End it, think of something (meanwhile I chuck my computer out the window)
8.) I'm alive...relief

BTW I didn't know there were 8 when I watched it so I didn't know when it ended. It was an interesting experience and I am glad I did it. Even if I did waste some 3ish hours of my time.

Finally got out of the loop! Endless Eight is something unusual in this season of Haruhi, but it's still being overshadowed by the scrambled episodes of the first one. I feel like watching all of them is a weird endeavor.

I have to admit, I became bored on the fifth and beyond, not until the last one and I think because it's still worth it.

It was a grueling journey, as well as arc that followed, but I can at least say I survived, even though this season exhausted the frig out of me.

I saw all of them and I loved them to be honest. I think the repetition really supported the vibe of the arc. A very bold but great decision of KyoAni!

Sure, the characters made it amazing to watch the smallest things change each loop.
Honestly ... I dont see why you would skip certain episodes just because they're similar to each other, obviously the creator tries to portray something with it and it worked for me.

So yeah, I did watch it, and so should everyone.

This is the reason why i haven't watched season 3 yet, i'm still pissed at them for pulling that stunt. How can you betray your viewership to that level? They should have known the 8 episodes where filler / an excuse to stick an ova into a series and scheduled 9 more episodes to cover the damage.

I watched them all, but I kinda skip through minor moments in later episodes...

I personally don't like it. I think 8 episodes are too much of a problem considering how easy the solution is come up in the last episode. I expect a better solution. For the actual show, I think 4-5 episodes are more than enough, but the name Endless 4 or Endless 5 aren't cool, right?

The only one upside of this arc is that it makes me discover my only favorite character of this show, Nagato.
