No, Bellamy is captain of the Bellamy pirates. However they are allies with Doflamingo, so in a way working for him and they are not his actual crew. |

| Great start to the new arc and the Water 7 saga. I've heard this is where this show really starts getting good. I always live the feeling OP has when starting a new arc, it's like a mix of nnostalgia and anticipation. It's always like startinga new show all together. And as much as liked parts of the Skypeia saga, it was a bear to get through. It literally took me like 2 years to get through the Eneru fight. I would try to watch it and get sidetracked and half to come back and rewatch episodes. So I'm really excited for a new saga! Great to see Bellamy and Doflamingo again. I'm hoping Doflamingo is the main boss in this saga. And I know Bellamy can't be dead. The Long Island stuff was funny, especially the old man and the dog. And this Davy Back Fight sounds fun! |

| So they arrived on an island where everything is long and Luffy knocked (saved?) an old guy from the bamboo stilts he was stuck on for 10 years rotfl Also is it just me, or did the visuals just get a whole lot sharper and generally better all around? I like it! Bring me that HD!! So the OP changed and I think it's on par with the last one. That ending theme is prolly gonna be my newest jam tho. Hands down the best ED song of the series...I also like how it shows stuff from all the arcs up to the current one as well! Looking forward to seeing where this arc goes and whether it's gonna be a longer or shorter one. Either way, it seems wildly different from Alabasta and Skypiea which focus on war, the monarchy and lots of other kinda political & rebellion jazz. Also saw Doflamingo again this ep and it turns out Bellamy was working for him? That dude is obviously not to be messed with...I like him tho. I like him a lot. |

| Wow! This was an amazing start to a new arc! I thought the filler was great for comedy and as a break from the somewhat tedious and definitely heavy Skypiea, which it was, but it looks like Oda knew that already and made the canonical next part even more fun than the filler was! Firstly, I could tell the massive difference that this new HD widescreen quality made in the first few seconds of the opening. I watched the SD version up until now because I didn’t like how the remastered cut out parts of the intended shots to make it look better, so this was a huge change for me. Doflamingo shows us that the “new era” Bellamy wanted to create wasn’t his own vision, but one he was working to create under Doflamingo. However, Doflamingo proves he’s a brutal dude and gets Sarquiss to stab his own boss, probably not killing him because this is One Piece, but rather heavily injuring him. He’s quite the prominent figure. Long Island is adorable and hilarious. I love the animals on the island. I love how the amazing trio of the childish Usopp, Luffy, and Chopper explored without hesitation. I love the old guy on stilts and how he calls the animals long versions of their normal names. That’s a dooooooooog. It’s also hysterical imagining him being afraid to get off the stilts and eating all the fruits he can find on the absurdly long trees. The foxy pirates as villains seem pretty comedic too meaning that this will probably keep the tone it’s started going. This is one of my favorite islands at face value. It may not be explored as much as something like Skypiea or Alabasta of course, or even Usopp’s home or Nami’s, however it’s so great as a hilarious cute little island with everything being long. I can’t help but love it. If the wanted poster commercial breaks are gone I’ll be sad. I always liked those. The new ending theme is awesome. It’s a great first of all, but the way it scrolls through all the outfits the characters wore throughout the series makes it fun to watch as well. It encourages you to remember the journey up until now and recall funny details like Luffy getting the ink all over him or Zoro being a wax statue. Excited to continue this. |

| A new opening theme, a new ending theme, a new and shaper-looking artstyle , and a new island. I was really caught off guard by these changes, that's for sure~ It's a very big surprise that Bon Voyage made its Bon Voyage real quick but it's probably just me. I'm really vibing with the new ending theme in particular since I really like how it sounds and seeing their different looks throughout their journey starting from the beginning's made me all nostalgic already ❤ Doflamingo actually killed Bellamy like it was nothing, wow. Luffy might've defeated him in an instant but it takes a special kind of evil to be able to kill in One Piece. Long Ring Long Land aside from being a fun tongue twisted is a very strange but amusing island. One Piece humor is right up my alley almost all of the time but I could use less of the practically screaming dialogue though, to be frank. |

| That widescreen transition sure took me by surprise. To be honest, I enjoyed this episode at least after they got onto the island, it was fun or just hilarious looking at this loooong island! :D |
