Who is the Bitch? I like the kick in the pool. Amazing fight, Elena turns into a black shadow? Shuuichi's memory has returned, At least Elena did not die from a gun, xD. Closed by a trip to the mountain? Not bad either.
The necklace has nothing to do with it. Shuuichi doesn't notice his messed-up house and his parent's abscence because he's still deluded by Elena messing with his memories. Plus, the necklace was taken off in that same scene.
Also, we did not need to know about your rape fetishes, thank you.
I still going to give this a 10 because i understand they ended it in a basic cliff hanger. But if you keep that that aside the fighting and the character development is pretty good.
"There is an incredible story being played out in this town. And I'm not the main character. Maybe I should step off the stage of this story and return to a normal life."
wtf. This show makes no damn sense.
If there is an incredible story, TELL IT, instead of being all "haha sike, nothing mattered."
The last two episodes basically came out of nowhere and made no sense.
What a shame that the show had the potential to be interesting, but basically had no idea what story it wanted to tell, so it tore itself up at the end. Poof!
So this is an anime original episode? That explains why it's a little bit lacking on the closure.
The story overall is interesting, a lot of mysteries and questions but the pace is kinda slow. I rate it quite high because i absolutely love the OST ever since i watched the PV, the action and animation is a welcome surprise as well. Then again, i don't know if i should recommend this because i'm not sure people would enjoy this show as much as i do (i'd definitely check the manga).
This anime is amazing , everything the story is new , flashbacks are awesome with goosebumps of course , character development feels like parasyte , it deserves at least 8,5/10 rating , I've watched tons on animes and it's been a long time since I've seen a good one , the best this season IMO , and the ending is so awesome and it tells us...the story is yet to be finished.
I probably have to read the manga to get a better understanding of the story. Decent show with intriguing characters and story, but the last episode is just disappointing.

Weird and confusing. The characters in this adaptation aren't that good enough to make me care, the direction cut here and there with little connection between them. I'm not sure what's the stakes and prizes are.
Kinder-Malo-20 said: This episode was an acceptable ending, there is a possibility of a second season, but the manga only has 54 chap and the anime adapted it until chapter 35 so we will have to wait 2 years :(
Do you really read the manga? It is currently 54, but it hasn't ended either..
Where do that 2 years come from..
Whoa whoa whoa,, wait... As a manga reader, I didn't see this coming.. Didn't see this scene anywhere.. But the cliff hanger ending might mean a 2nd season I think.. Nice episode tho..
But it is a major change from the manga really..
Watashi wa a victim of cyberbullying. Everyday someone online calls me a "weeb" desu. Watashi won't stand for this. 26 percent of bullying victims are chosen due to their race or religion desu. I may look like a basic white boy, but deep down I am Nihongo desu. Watashi religion is anime. Anata wa bullying me because of my race and religion desu ka? Disgusting desu. Anata should be ashamed of yourself, racist pig. A baka gaijin like anata is probably jealous of my race and culture, cause Nippon is more sugoi than your shitty country desu. Watashi pity anata. You'll never be Nihongo like watashi. Educate yourself on nani a "weeb" is.
Kakugoto, Yesterday , ToG and now Gleipnir - all messed up the pacing, the endings and broke the plot....
Having said that it was a good finale leaving things open for season 2 or an OVA.
As others have said they killed off a character that's still alive in the Manga so I'm not sure how they'd progress that storyline.
I'll be generous and give it 7/10.
I've read the source and as others have said "start at chapter 35 and forget the last two episodes of the Anime" as the adaptation isn't too bad up to that point.
There's still so much I don't understand. What exactly happened to Honoka(if that's who the white girl even is)? What did Elena do the Shuichi that made him forget his past and why? And what's the All Might looking character(forgot his name) trying to do?
The last 3 episodes left me completely baffled. A lot of characters that hardly figured at all suddenly became extremely important to the entire plot. Gonna have to rewatch or even better, probably read the manga.

Beautiful. Wild. Insane. Sumptuous. Brilliant. Epic. Crazy. Glorious. Brutal. Magnificent. Horrific. Mesmerising. So many words to choose from, so little time to think of them all. Number 1 show of the season for me.
Kinda a confusing ending to me. But after reading some comments, this episode looks like anime-original so it's to be expected I guess. Overall this show turned out to be better than I thought it'd be.

because most of the time this is a bare minimum how long it takes between seasons for manga (especially with monthly release) to make enough chapters/story for next season + time spend to make actual anime.
but easily it could be also 4 years like in case of One Punch man. ;)

Is a season 2 gonna come?
God bless whoever decided to not let it end on a cliffhanger
Did Elena actually re-erase Shuichi's memories? Or was she not able to? Cause she tried to, right?
First thing first is... I haven't read the manga...
So... Is this anime/manga more like Evangelion + Naruto have a Baby ??
Like when I see Episode 13.. it's really Identical to Evangelion Rei Ayanami Ending...
Like Is this Real ?? If this is Real Shit... I DEMAND SECOND SEASON...
I dont get some of the low ratings this show has gotten, this anime was an absolute banger, although I'm not really all into action so maybe people that like action a lot disliked it for not having that much of it not sure. Im surprised how I liked a show with a furry cosplayer and tons of fanservice more than Tower of God.
A good episode, and the whole show has been great. An interesting concept, that the power comes with such a tragic history behind it.
I had to read ahead long ago, when they first met Elena, and I read the entire manga. This episode is not like in the manga, but that fine; anime is its own story. I liked it a lot.
I also always like these stories where they are in the Japanese countryside, out in nature under the hot sun, with the crickets in the background.
I consider myself a pretty big fan of death game anime/manga but unfortunately I couldn't really get into this one.
Pros:
Animation is surprisingly great.
OP/ED are amazing, especially the ED.
Interesting antagonists.
Sadly, that's about it for me. After the first 6 episodes, it started to go downhill. The MC is terrible. Even his progression sucks. Absolute disappointment, couldn't care less about his past. Claire is too much of a wild card emotionally to have any value besides fan service. All in all, it's okay.
All puzzle behind the Gleipnir Game stories had just revealed all of themself. Finally, i had more time to caught up this great series without any hesitations. I thought this series had a deep shit background story, rather than just a random battle royal game collected and fights against some random coin. Surely, the Alien entity never do that on a crazy reason like a pyscho killer. Indeed the same reason for every 'monster' on Gleipnir, the justification really own a great perfectionism. Without even realised that it leads to some generic battle royale with risky prize to gambled.
Okay, back to Alien perspective. He just do that to respect the whole wished of 'the Deadly Hanako'. Hell, i even had a hunch that he must feel something heavy toward her. OMG! Back to topic. The chain in between her dying was an absolute fucked up reasonal. Yeah, like the huge flashback in episode 12, its revealed anything. Its dark, indeed, because of her own mistake decision. Everything, like a butterfly effect, to its chance to fly away leave every human there to gone crazy. Its destroyed the greedy people till its bone. The changed. Never missed to satisfied some people to take a lead using some wrong way. Unfortunately, her friends, another unnoticed foes, backfired her, and the Alien buddy. Thats some ragequit master Kaito that behind the screen, became the MC. He stole her live, used it, with an empty emphasis, and become a judge to obliterated the whole bonds among the humanity. Great words by me, there. Yet, thats a true definition of a greedy people. Shit intentions.
Shuichi memories back events were just a great incident to introduced the whole battle against the Hanako's being, and its master, Kaito. Shit. This long 13 episode acted as an Introduction really served like a pain in the ass. Its a long journey to understand the whole problem surrounded the true intentions of Gleipnir Game. A long journey to knowing why Shuichi become a deuteragonist on this show, and his slow progress learning his true power. At the end, its simply a huge development of him, make his intentions, and the past of him truly clear. Just finished this game already! Because, yeah, the real game was just about to commenced.
The games was came back and continued age. While so much people killing each other to get atleast one coin or more. Alas, even the last boss in the different extremely high level was alive there, in the last checkpoint of huge treasures of Gleipnir coin. Still, the reason why Kaito must protect that coin, instead of making it back to the Alien entity was an absolute blurry. Shit. The series end with no other explanations. I might drop my point by one, with that blank space appeared. Even, no clue about another season might messed up the whole serialization. Alas, i dont have anything to do rather than read the source material of this show. A complete way to avoided the responsibility. Again. No bad guy here. Its just a flow of the shit game that destroy the humanity and insanity for several human being. So, the only bad guy here, obviously that Alien and Hanoko to brought that shitty game.
Okay. Its time to my judgement. The story itself indeed might lead some generic battle royale game. The background of Alien entity and the power system only that make the Gleipnir Game feel slightly different. The flawness and the way of building the storyline were unique. Using a complex step up to finally came the last revelations really served my satisfaction. At last, i might be honest that this series had caught my guard to loving it. Unfortunately, the story seems unfinished. There is no way i cant give the perfect scores for this, since the end still far awat beyond the limit. So, at my final brain-storming session, 8 must be enough for this show. Its goes to the characterization section too. Because, yeah, the game was unfinished. But, the development really served well. So, yeah 8 must be enough too.
The art and animation kinda bugged me. Its maybe their best, but to me its not getting my best art and animation so far. Its in a very good level without any doubt. The OST was intrigueing. Its really catchy and caught the thrilling moment while they battled in the last moments. The op and ed were my favourites. Its easy to listen and had very deep meaning toward the series. I might come up to the great scores for that enjoyable kind of musics. The enjoyment and overall might be the same guess like before. The enjoyment come as my personal judges, and the overall take into my meaning rate. So this is the final verdict for this great show:
8/10
A hard decision, indeed. But, thats it. No other complain to me. I just really hope for the continuations. But, shit was always come. So, yeah, its obvious. Its time to me to moved on!

This series made me feel a lot of things. The plot is great and truly a breath of fresh air in this 'fantasy/ shounen/ drama/' kind of anime type that haven't got a good entry since Mirai Nikki (my opinion). The problem with these type of show that has got a lot of thingw going on plot wise and all the subplots, is that it strives to be all at once, and maybe this works for a manga series but a 13 episdode anime doesn't work. The adaptation falls short in comparison with the source material and this leaves space to misinterpretations and contributes to bad reviews. Still the plot and the characters are great, the MC has a nice growth arc in wich he becomes more interesting and owner of his own story. These anime has 5 thrilling episodes that made me go from the sitting on the edge of my seat (due to the action) to fell the emotional load of the drama that runs throughout the story. Would definetely recommend the anime and the manga.

5 years is a minimal chance of year. If they considering the Manga popularity or BD selling rates are high. Lol.

What a great show that had amazing fight scenes, great soundtrack, and an interesting premise/atmosphere. It’s a better show than Demon Slayer imo and is a solid 9/10.
The scene when Shuichi almost rape Claire was so fucking dumb. Oh no i lost my memories so after I get a glimpse of it I should rape my ex girlfriend's sister.
Classic Shuuichi. Starting and concluding the series with at least one scene of him almost raping Claire.
Decent final episode. An open ending was more than obvious at this point so at least, I'm glad we got even a bit more info about Shuuichi and Elena's past as well as more insight into this "entity" that looks like Honoka which I gotta say, seems more complex than I originally thought. I was left kinda confused in that regard but guess it couldn't be helped since we only knew about her backstory one episode ago.
Anyways, I also gotta say how glad I was to see that good animation from ep. 2 returning during Shuuichi/Claire's fight against Elena. It was a somewhat short sequence but pretty exciting nonetheless.
Overall and to my surprise, this anime ended up being a rather entertaining ride. Visually speaking, it surpassed my expectations, especially the backgrounds art; OST was surprisingly good and catchy and I found myself feeling rather captivated by the mystery aspect surrounding our main protagonists.
Cast, on the other hand, was kinda bland in my opinion. Not that memorable aside from the main duo and Elena but luckily, the sense of tension surrounding these three and the curious chemistry between Claire and Shuuichi made up for it. Though truth be told, Claire's character mostly carried the show during the first few episodes.
6,5/10 -> 7/10 - Honestly, I didn't think I would say this when I started watching the show but man, a second season would be really appreciated.
I didn't even intend to watch this anime this season but the mascot costume design piqued my interest and I'm so frickin' glad I watched this! This is the best anime of the season, no doubt but it's really underrated too! There were a few episodes that were a bit dull but the twists, tragedy and action made up for it entirely!
I'm gonna keep my fingers and toes crossed for a season 2!
The fight scene was well done which was partially due to the ost with the choir in the background, some delicious animation and nice visuals - worthy for a finale. However, this episode gave us a lot of loose ends. Kinda unsatisfying and annoying but I guess it works since I really want to know what happened.. Why can't Shuichi tell her who she is? What does Elena tell her to make her think she is a monster? Did Elena kill his parents, just make them forget each other or what? What is this daycare with talented kids for alien-hogwarts wizardry? Why should the world end and Shuichi prefered this path?
Honestly, I almost gave up on this show after episode 1 but I am so glad I did not and continued. Main reason being: Claire. She saves the show and pushes the story forward in the beginning. She is outspoken, cunning and driven by a simple motive and thus, carries hard. Then Shuichi changes and more mysteries appear and I was hooked,
The 3 episode rule really is no joke. Sure, overall there are obvious weaknesses in terms of execution and I guess the budget of this show was not too great either, but it created interest. I do hope for a season 2 that can use this one in terms of content as a foundation.
Thought the first half was good, there was an actual story to follow, the 2nd half was just an arena for a battle royale which was disappointing, and then they shoe horned Shuuichi's backstory into the last 2 eps which was a bad idea. 6.

This sure was quite the different anime, the first episode of it really made me raise an eye brow to how strange and direct it was together with the rather synthwave ost that was only used here and for the ED while the series itself didn't had anything to do with it.
Together with the pacing and rather directness of things the pacing of the overhaul story changed quite often and especially near the end to also have a quite dark and different take was nice yet weird to then get presented with this kind of ending.
All up to this episode and ending was nice but I did have various moments were it certainly was quite weird too watch, even for me.
Animations was good at this episode but I think they couldn't make the forgetting part logical tbh. But yeah, it was fine overall. Hope it gets a better season.
