Am I the only one who thinks this was the worst Jojo episode to this day?
The amount of illogical turns, non-sensical arbitrary rule changes, and astronomically improbable plans working out really made this painful to watch.

Oh shit, if you think Jojo has a logical fight, you haven't been paying attention

The fights are logical though. Extremely creative, but there is logic underlying with every move. Part 5 has done this the best out of all the parts so far. Part 5 isn't even anywhere close to being the worst offender in terms of suspension of disbelief, that award goes to part 2 and 3 by a landslide. And I'm not even complaining, Jojo being so different to other shounens in this way is what makes the series so unique and timeless. There will never be a series this perfectly... Bizarre

Man, there's been weird logic in it a lot of times, but this jumped the shark with a space rocket compared to everything else.

I also think the lenght was perfect. I was expecting the sequence to be 1 minute and half or straight 2 long, but I liked it regardless. It lived up to the hype.

Finally, the freaking 7 pages mudamuda is here! I wanted it to be a sort of Sakuga moment, but it was still good as hell and Giorno's VA made it glorious. Why does nobody talk about sweet Secco discovering his friend just died? My heart broke at that moment!

One weird thing about this fight is the "mold" activate when the author want. I mean, in episode 29, Mista just lower his hand a little, and then, get mold on his hand.

But just one second later, Mista decide to blow up the boat, and they fall to the ground which is lower than they are. They should be dead, no ?

If just lowering the hand is enough to activate the "mold", they would be dead at least 50 times.

Just to show an extreme example. In this episode, Mista fall to the ground at 6:36. Giorno catch him. And "green tea" is still active. Show should be over.

To be honest, Green tea power is too OP. They say it activate if you get lower than your current postion of a "few centimeters" and it's not even based on your feet but your whole body. It would be impossible to be able to do more than 10 meters before dying (even though they were lucky enough to arrive in a town where everything was uphill, lucky them :) ).

The Muda Muda Wry part was hyped up too much. Should have been twice as long.

Also I was wondering if Mista would get affected by stand damage, other group type stands sometimes dont.

Polnareffu watching the entire episode from a good spot was my favourite part.

Oh god, I forgot how disgusting the Ciocolatta fight was, made even worse in animated form. Watching him hop around with one arm and a wiggly spinal cord made me wince.

Despite that, this was kind of a long winded fight. Even for Jojo, there was a little too much exposition and not enough action. Oh well. At least everyone got their daily dose of MUDA MUDA MUDAs.

When Mista blow up the boat, they managed to go up, they didn't fall lower from where they were.

Also, at 6:36, Cioccollata was focusing the mold on himself as he was... doing the thing he did at the helicopter while killing off Sex Pistols, so he probably stopped the mold spread for a while.

TBH, I don't think a stand rushdown could mantain pieck hype for 1-2 minutes straight.

And what they lacked in duration was compensated by sheer number of punches.

I like that in this episode beatdown, the sound design respects how brutal Star Platinum punches were.

The punches sound from Gold Experience is like gunshots from a single automatic rifle, while the punches sound from Star Platinum on Steely Dan is like gunshots from multiple automatic rifles and an extra revolver. That's why Kira said it's so fast, it's like it stopped time.

You know how awesome it was? Everytime he is there, you can see his heart fighting! Oh Giorno Giovanna! Such a beautiful character!
Cioccolata was strong and his partner... No comment! No someone to meet for coffe!
I think Giorno's muda this week was different! What do you guys think?
When Giorno was trying to spare his opponnent, I thought he actually could do that, but there was not trust for Cioccolata, he fought again... then you see Giorno finishing him off. I mean, Giorno was really trying to spare Ciocollata, but he still wish for kill and Giorno couldn't overcome that.
I don't know, Giorno said differently.

Polnareff is here! I can't wait to see him again!

That was glorious. That's all that needs to be said.

Also not surprised to see our favorite Part 3 goofball at the end, his MAL character page shows he's in this part so I expected him to appear at some point.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

Can someone explain to me what happened with the stag beetle? Why did it return to the bullet hole? As odd as some of the logic is in JoJo, I still wanna understand it.

10/10 top tier production as always though.

EDIT: Oh wait, a piece broke off, stayed in his brain and when the bullet came back...it transformed back into a stag beetle to eat it because it got attracted to the piece that's still there (correct me if I'm wrong). LOL crazy stuff, you can even see the broken piece before when Cioccolata got shot the first time. Neat.

Have to agree with some posters beforehand, this episode felt pretty lackluster to me, the whole stand of green day really worked inconsistently and cioccolata surviving with his spine and then being able to just instantly fix himself felt reaaaaaaally off to me. Also that muda scene was alright but worked way better in the manga than anime, the wryyyyy part was awesome though.

That's right, it wouldn't be JoJo.

Yes, but there is also a limit.
And this episode crossed that limit. Just like DIO and Jotaro spontaneously learning flying in part 3 finale.

I don'y really get this. JoJo's has never had a "limit". Also, they never flew, it was their stands helping them jump. This has been proven over and over.

here is the definition of colony type stands from jojo wiki
Colony Stands are comprised of multiple units, each able to function entirely on its own. The entirety of the colony constitutes a single Stand, and as a result, their power is divided. Similarly, damage to the user is proportional to the population size of the Stand; the higher amount of units, the less damage is transferred when a unit is damaged.
Thanks to their number, Colony Stands can be used to overwhelm an enemy by attacking from multiple directions, the User not fearing damage since as long as even one unit remains, they won't die.

Okay, we're all here because of the Muda.
I think the duration is ok, 30 seconds is great, but I didn't find it as good as the Steely Dan one.
I mean, I didn't really feel the power of his punches and kicks.

You have to remember, though, that Star Platinum is technically stronger than Gold Experience, so while the punches wont be as heavy and hard-hitting, they're definitely going to be thrown fast. Of course, this doesn't mean you need prefer Giorno's over Jotaro's.

Basically. In the manga, you can see the bullet broken after it went through his head, but Giorno just say it returned for the hole because it was somehow supposed to. The anime made it clear that it was the piece in his head that "attracted" the bullet.

I guess we can conclude that the "WRYYYY" thing is genetic. It makes as much sense as anything else that happened this episode! Like, I know Jojo has always had people survive ridiculous shit (Like having half of your body walked through), but this fight and Doppio vs Metallica have both been trying my suspension of disbelief.

Great episode, though. I went fucking bananas punching the air through the whole Green Day beatdown xD
