@Killuan I don't want to be rude but I don't really care anymore. This doesn't fit my taste and it's not going to be entertaining for 25 episodes for me. With characters as basic as this you need to at least have some worldbuilding or interesting combat system, maybe have some sidecharacters to focus on for some variety (sneaking out to make master happy doesnt count) idk |

If you expect something that it's like the 1st 4 episode then it's your fault that you set high expectations for this anime. Maybe this kind of anime that balances the mood of the story is not your cup of tea. |

The whole plant situation at the start of this episode was probably the first actually interesting thing in this series. So, what I expected was real... I started having a bad sensation at episode four and now I know I was correct, this anime is slowly fading and becoming filler and mainstream... I mean, if you needed 4 filler episodes out o seven, you should just make a 12 or 13 episode series instead f 25... As said infinite times, it has potential but now I feel like it is trashing it selfbup...the way episode one was made was just perfect, but they just needed to start putting fillers and harem-like situations, like there aren't other anime which already do this... I feel really really sad and disappointed by the path this anime choose to follow, I feel like dropping it, if it wasn't for the post-credit scene, I hope other people finally realize it themselves |

I cropped out your romance comments because I have nothing to say. LOL. And there are enough arguments about what is or isn't a harem or about the age of the girls. I kinda think we would not disagree too strongly anyway. But actually he was not given a pick hammer. He was given a crafting hammer. Its not even big enough to be used as a weapon. Like it's tiny. You couldn't even use it for blacksmiths its really little. He uses it to do jewelry making with minerals and gemstones. And he ends up selling accessories along with his potions. As for this episode overall, its kinda what one can expect with this anime. It will dip back into darker topics next episode most likely. And it will stay there for a bit. Then it will lighten right back up. The manga follows a similar pattern. It's why the rave reviews the first episode got for its tone made me chuckle. This story is entertaining and has potential to dig super deep. It never digs too far down though. I don't say that as a negative, just that it is what it is. |

One of those "calm periods", when seemingly grim yet rational title becomes funny and cute for some episodes, then returns back to somewhat grim. This ruins ongoings for me, because it's a pain to wait for a couple of weeks until anime comes back to what I started watching it for. When you watch a whole anime in one sit, this inconsistency not that noticeable. If they would start with that "rivalry for attention" in first episodes, I would drop the title. Now I'm stuck with that, I guess T_T |

Raph has the physical, mental, and emotional level of an adult due to leveling up, she was just acting like a kid in this episode. Adults can have moments where they act like kids. She's the only viable love interest of the 2. Firo on the other hand is usually played up for comedy. Also, you are looking at 2 non-humans in a world with magic and monsters so things are different from the real world so these kinds of things are probably way more in the norm than in the real world. Though considering you added "disgusting", you are probably too stupid to understand that. |

I can unterstand if people think his powers are a total asspull under these circumstances. I think that is because the seed itself had been manipulated already. It came from the seed the alchemist had made, so it resulted in this specific shield. But I don't remember if it was mentioned anywhere in the LN or manga. |

So since this episode was very boring and apparently was filler to a degree? I guess next eoisode is going to be good again. I do hope so, because if not it would get rather stale. I am already not a big fan of the merchant plot considering the setting of the show, why isnt he grinding 24/7 to get stronger? Money isnt going to solve the wave problem. Anyway, I really like the outro, but I still wish we could have gotten more time with loli raphtalia. |

Man this village sure has a rather serious plant problem. Hmm so the plants are also parasitic as well. For a hero the spear hero sure causes a lot of trouble. Seems Filo and Raphtalia's personalities are starting to clash with each other. Naofumi sure did well in managing to turn a disaster for the village into a boon for them instead. It was cute seeing Raphtalia get jealous though. Filo's mannerisms are just so adorable. Funny how Filo and Raphtalia had exactly the same idea. Though they may have started their little quest as rivals it was nice seeing them team up to deal with that bull. The gift that they ended buying for Naofumi though sure was a nice way to convey their thanks. An excellent ep that while progressing the story also did well in expanding upon Filo and Raphtalia's characters both in terms of combat tactics and in personal feelings. |

BlackLatias said: maybe Firo is teasing Raphtalia in the anime? It seemed really weird to me as wellI don't really understand some of the changes they made from the source in this ep. Filo never mentioned in the LN that Naofumi should be her mate in the future, she only wanted him to praise her, nothing more. The anime makes it hard for me to say that it is not a harem, if it really makes it seem like one. In the LN Filo doesn't think of Naofumi that way, why did they do this here? Really, why? Overall I liked the episode and I suppose the next one might end on a cliffhanger. But anyway, it's nice to see that the ep didn't go the way it was pictured in the LN, because that would have been another issue altogether. And Rapthalia was absolutely adorable this episode, I just love this girl so much, seriously :D Can't wait until next week though. I really hope it will be an awesome episode, it should be at least. |

Naofumi is a bit different in the LN in terms of the relationships between his party. But Cinema Citrus is giving him a harem. I don't like where this is going but I hope the next wave and dragon are going to change my view on this adaptions future. |

Every situation in this anime is forced, foreshadowing something doesn't make the story connected, nothing in this story besides the rape accusation has any real meaning-- impact on the story. |

Any guesses on what episode the next wave will be? Also wondering when kimono lady will make an appearance. If i remember right, I didn't really become invested in the manga until that point. |

The first 4 episodes were great, but everything after that has been a downward spiral so far. Hopefully next episode will pick up again. |

If i remember right, I didn't really become invested in the manga until that point. I would say around episode 10 or 11 is when the next wave should start. And kimono lady (Glass) would appear around that time as well. The wave, with her fight in it, should take at least two episodes, so I guess she should appear in episode 12 or something. Unless I forgot some important plot points, it's been a while that I read volume 3 of the LN. |
