| The fuck. This is a total rip off of Ghost Trick: Phantom detective. Like literally the concept is more or less the same, just that the main character isn't dead. Massively boosts my expectations for this then. 4/5 |

| They already skipped out on a decent amount of stuff, and A-1 aren't holding back with the CG but still it's alright so far. I feel like the anime is making things feel slightly more pretentious but that might just be me. Continuing with cautious optimism. |

| Very interesting episode, it's got potential to be the best this season. My only complaint is his mothers lips are quite odd, besides that it's looking very good. Love the MC's VA also, fits his character completely. |

| I was getting rather disappointed with the beginning of this season, since nothing really caught my attention but this first episode really came through for me, really great start I guess e can always count on A1 to bring us something that's at least worth talking about :P |

| Almost everything about this adaptation is spot on. The artstyle, the voice actors and animation fit extremely well. I'd even say the anime does a better job of catching (and keeping) my attention compared to the source material due to cutting out a lot of parts, which I have no problem with if it helps garner more people's interest in the series. |

| It was the first time in a long time where a first episode of a noitaminA thing hooked me so completely. Morose, but not edgy. Philosophical, but not in overly didactic, droning way. Best of all, this take on time travel isn't likely to be some magical fix-all on its own since it's very possible that Satoru might not be able to change anything in the way he intended with his revivals since its up to him to find what doesn't look right. I will say that I am a tad disappointed that they skipped over one bit from the manga It was an unfortunate blow to an otherwise great start. |

| Great first episode, there's still a long way to go but it's setting to be AOTS. I really wish I had never watched the PV's so i didn't seen the mom's death coming. |

| Man, that was great. This revival concept is interesting, but I wonder how Satoru came about to having the ability to do so (assuming he wasn't born with it). And If he was born with it, the trigger must have been that murder case. Liked the usage of blue butterlies. And by the looks of it, he has to be within a certain radius of where and when something bad is about to happen to see them. |

| Quite good and enjoyable. Still have some bickering to do. Mothers lips are not an easy thing to get used to. Animation sometimes looked a bit nonexistant. (I guess the it's also the style of the anime that I need to get used to). The mother was stabbed in her back but when Satoru came, the wound was in her abdomen? The killer coming when the mother was alone and the door wasn't locked looked a bit convenient. Well, I hope I'm just looking too deep. Still, one of the better first episodes this season. |

| Nice introduction of the story. Love Satoru's attitude already. Like he's fed up with life. :D Seems the one who his mother noticed is the real culprit. Looking forward to the disclosure of his identity. |

I agree, I don't really mind that they skipped over some other stuff because I think the pacing worked here as the introduction to the series, but that's definitely something I think that should've been left in. And iirc, Satoru didn't meet the culprit on the way up to his apartment either. Not a complaint, just saying. It was used for dramatic effect I guess? Really liked the first episode though, and hopefully they'll slow things down for the upcoming episodes. |

| AOTS! If this keeps this up for the next 11 episodes. This will be the aots. This was a great first episode. the way they set it up was just great. the last little bit had my jaw open the whole time. The mom was really trying to put the pieces together. And it seems like they got the wrong guy. Matter of fact it looked like history was about to repeat ;) Dat ending tho. Fuck 1-5 minutes. He went back years! So I guess next episode we see the girl in his mercies? Man can't wait for the next episode. |

| They probably wanted to hook the viewer with the first episode, and in order to do that they decided to fit the murder in there. Fortunately the pacing wasn't hurt too much, and I'm sure it'll slow down appropriately in the upcoming episodes anyway. I'm probably just echoing other people here but this was easily the best premiere of the season thus far. The characters behaved like people, the conversations were natural with a bit of wit to them, and the MC's mom was pretty well-characterized despite having less than an episode's worth of screentime. |

| they did the same thing they did with mahouka: they don't show the protagonist thinking when he talks with others... is that for practical reasons, or because people really can't stand that? that was what captured my attention when reading the manga, if the manga didn't have that, i wouldn't have checked the anime. |
