Well, I have no idea about what you have planned for your challenge, so I hope at least one of the recommendations is out of that list. And of course I will rec you out your list, unless something has been sticking on your PtW for two years and I happen to recommend it :) From what I gather, I believe you like either more paused shows, especially with cute girls, better with romance, but not iyashikei type of shows (which is a shame, because I very much like those), or "good" shounen that isn't a carbon copy of one another. That is, disregarding particular anime likes and dislikes, similar to my tastes, so I hope I'm not wrong with my recs. My first recommendation is an anime that I think matches what you like: Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha. From what I remember, it has good animation, somewhat cute girls, romance, and a story you can sit down and enjoy. The kicker is that the anime doesn't have too many strong points, so it's likely to be a "I kinda liked it but it doesn't stand out" for most people. I put it here because you may enjoy it, and also because I could be very wrong with my other recs xD My second recommendation is the spiritual predecessor of Nichijou, which you seemed to like: Azumanga Daioh. Azumanga Daioh is a wacky comedy about a big cast consisting of mostly cute high school girls. In it, you're presented with their lives in high school, and how they grow as people and deepen their relationship. While it doesn't quite pack the punch Nichijou has, it doesn't get boring at all, and you'll probably feel attached to girls. Unfortunately, this is a comedy, which means it's more likely than most other genres to be a complete hit or miss depending on the person no matter how good it is, but the slice of life part can make it enjoyable even if you don't find the comedy all that good. My third and final recommendation is one of the most famous cute girls shows out there: Girls und Panzer. Girls und Panzer is a series of one anime and several movies about cute girls playing war with tanks but actually not killing one another. At first glance, it may seem as something stupid, but every piece of info about tanks given in the anime has been carefully studied, so if you like war tactics or you're simply curious about tanks, this is your show. It's also good by a cute girl show standard as just that, and you seem to like them, so even if you're not interested in tanks you may want to watch it too. I hope I didn't miss the mark too much with my recs, good luck with your challenge ^_^ |
