10 min bullshit talk, 10min of shittyfiller about kabuto whom I don't give a single fuck in the world + 30 sec fight. Great Naruto concept.

If you think Kabuto's past is shitty filler. Then I feel sorry for you, its one of the better past arcs in Naruto.

5/5 for this episode, Kabuto's past is super sad. It will get even more depressing with the next episode, if you didn't like Kabuto before. This arc really fleshes out his character and explains a lot. The story is moving along nicely in the anime for a change. Hopefully they can keep up this pace without introducing anymore filler. Considering the manga should be near the end, that shouldn't be too hard.

Personally i think the best one is the upcoming one witch reveals all the history and secrets, you know what im taking bout. It will be some time though before its shown in the anime. It puts into perspective though really just how everything started involving the shinobi wars, etc. I like it because its very historical. I hope the anime does not rush that one.

You know Sawyer pointed out something interesting. Back in the Chunin Exam arc during the Forest of Death, Kabuto got his glasses knocked off his face by some Ame nin and lost his shit, now we finally know why.

From the wiki: "During the second phase of the exam, Kabuto joined forces with Team 7 in an attempt to finish the phase with little hassle. When the group encountered Team Oboro, Kabuto's glasses were knocked off of his face after saving Naruto Uzumaki from an attack. This caused Kabuto to momentarily lose his cool and reveal his Killing Intent, paralysing both Team Oboro and Naruto's team-mates as he took advantage to defeat the Ame genin."

Last episode Kabuto wanted to kill Sasuke and now he says he'd never harm him. Doesn't make much sense ... .
I thought Kabuto just wanted to take Sasuke hostage so he could control Itachi into doing what he wants.

Not gonna lie, I really loved Kabuto's back story even though I never really cared for him or like him. I dunno, this anime just knows how to pull my heart strings in all the right ways. It's so unprecedented for a fiction to do this for me.

Mesmerizing dialogue between Itachi and Kabuto. Shows them both as a very intelligent shinobi. Only such kinds of talk are actually better then showing some fluid action.

I liked Kabuto's backstory, it was good, his name's origin, the glasses, and how he came to become who he is now. First half was a borefest for me though.

Edit: Wasn't this fight lasting a little too long? How many chapters are they adapting per episode? o.O

Kabuto is one of the Naruto villains I just can't hate, and I like his voice, too.
Awww, he was so cute when he was young. I wanted to hug him when he kept on saying "Thank you". Now I get why he still wears that glasses. Mother is pretty hot.
I read an article about his past back then, but I kinda forgot it. I figured that it would be shown now, in this fight. But fuck me, kissanime.com is lagging as fuck now man =_= I have been waiting for Kabuto's past, I can't watch it while it's laggy as fuck.
I guess, this is it for today. I shall continue this tomorrow. Time for me to eat, too :3

Great episode, I hope we get the whole story regarding Kabuto's past.
Izanami? That seems damn interesting but there's something I don't quite understand: Izanagi requires the power of Senju to be used; Izanami doesn't? hum.... weird....
Anyway, next episode seems to focus on Kabuto's past only, so it doesn't excite me that much....

Exactly. this is the reason why i my self like naruto because of that logic built into the characters and one piece. unlike bleach which has very generic one sided villains. The characters in naruto are all more humanized i guess you can say, not one of them is any TRUE villain, they all have their reasons that defines what they are what shaped them into what they have become.

Yeah, Orochimaru's backstory that revealed he actually had feelings and cared for his teammates really made me feel better about that pedophile. Is it weird how much children seem to love Orochimaru? And why the hell is pedophile a sexual thing? What do you call people who love children in a non-sexual way in latin? Bibliophiles don't have sex with books.

Hold up, there's more sadness of the beetle coming up?

I hope they do the bijuu song when the main story recommences.

The animators of the Naruto universe aren't following universes rules.
The only jinchuriki that have markings that are like their tailed beast are Naruto and Gara, and that's because the tailed beast altered their body. Then theirs Ginkaku and Kinkaku, who had their bodys altered as well by the nine tails, but in the flashback before it happened they already had the whiskers.
Then theirs the sharingan. Kakashis sharaingan is always in an activated state because it's transplanted, but then Saskue has transplanted eyes and they are not always activated. When he used the eternal magakyo sharingan against Kabuto his eyes bled, which shouldn't have happened if it really was the eternal mangykyo sharingan.

This is starting to look like its some remake/fanfiction
I like Hentai, you like real life.

If you see that my post is exactly 1 month old (or more) from when it was posted... Don't waste your time, especially when you want to reply with something petty & insignificant. Assume that I've moved on (because I have).

I don't see Izanami as an asspull-no-jutsu. Kishi drew his inspiration from Shinto mythology. And Amaterasu, Susano'o, Tsukuyomi, Izanagi and Izanami are all related. So I suspect Kishi already mapped out these as Uchiha ocular abilities way back when Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu was revealed in Naruto.
Susano'o was then revealed in the Itachi v Sasuke fight with Itachi saying that it was the 3rd of the triplet of jutsu 'born' when he activated his Mangekyou (that's akin to the mythological story, of Izanagi's cleansing rite giving birth to the 3). The final two sacrificial abilities were then revealed at Danzo and now at Kabuto, hence completing the quintet.

Anyway, the main thing is the feelings. Izanami is a way of Itachi trying to help Kabuto change his fate, as he sees his old self in Kabuto. That's what actually matters in this context and that's what it's all about :)

so now there's inazami? how much more new sharingan jutsu there is? probably to the extent that every other battle where uchia shinobi will be cornered in future battles there will be more of them, that's how it seems :/

kabuto not even have his own name is kinda sad, but it's seems more that kabuto's backstory is used for something else than feeling empathy for him.

I find it ironic and slightly pathetic that Kabuto was still trying to get Sasuke on his side. Sorry dude, this guy now loves his bro and will probably live the rest of his life regretting the years he spent hating him.

From this fight, you can clearly see the difference in maturity between Itachi and Sasuke. While Itachi always thinks and acts calmly, Sasuke is easily influenced by his emotions, especially when his clan's name is involved.

I don't really like Kabuto. He's probably the villain I like the least, but I do like knowing his backstory. It's quite sad so far. I do want to know more but I hope it won't be too long because like Itachi said, "I hate you, be I understand you." 🤣 Well more like, I want to understand you.

I've always wondered why the Uchiha abilities are named after Japanese myth. But thank you for pointing out this whole story I have no background on it afterall. 😁✌️

As a person who liked Kabuto a lot from the very first ep he appeared in, even as I'm sure he's gonna die soon, this guy definitely is one of my personal favorites in this show. After seeing his backstory I'm even more sure in my opinion, he's such an intresting and well-build character, spies always have fucked up lives. Maybe there's something wrong with my taste but damn it, I don't get why Naruto fanbase dislikes him so much...

One flashback and I already wanna sympathize for kabuto 😭😭 I'm sure everyone goes through their own fair share of shit, some more-so than others. But it's how you play the cards you're dealt. Not everyone in life can get the best outcome, but more likely than not they can end up better than where they came off. Sometimes it's hard to believe I'm watching fiction with as much as I resonate and relate to these characters and situations, these genuine life lessons don't go unnoticed. The words of itachi towards kabuto were nothing short of truthful. Anyway, its easy to understand those strayed onto the path of evil like Kabuto. It's easy to understand how they ended up where they did, despite the whole concept of playing the hand you're dealt, not everything goes according to plan 11-15-22
