| Star died trying to kill Shigaraki. It only took 2 episodes. I already knew what was going to happen cos I kept seeing spoilers in basically every post related to Star since last season. Tho even without spoilers, it was kinda obvious that a character who came outta nowhere wasn't going to beat the main villain even if she's the top hero from America. She still did considerable damage tho. Even tho I knew she was gonna die I still enjoyed the fight. I wonder which quirks Shigaraki lost and how it'd play into Deku and the others beating him. Looks like the next episode will be more training. About time the focus was back on the U.A students tho. |
| Star and Stripe felt like a character created because the story needed Shigaraki to be stopped for a while. The fight was cool, but I cannot help but think she's a character that came out of nowhere to act as a plot device. |

| OMFG Star and Stripe and her team! At first when they were talking I was 100% convinced all the death flags were flying on top of the team's heads but this was so much more ouch. God damn, she's smart enough to even the score on him. She did everything right down to the last bit and still, it was not enough to overcome Shigaraki's Plus Ultra Plot Armor! Argh! All gave some, some gave all. I salute you, thank you for giving us the best episode of MHA to date. |

| RIP, America died Back to Japan I guess. . The real sad part of this is... Star never actually got to meet All-Might again... she went to Japan so she could meet All-Might while at it, but she went straight for Shigaraki. Probably wanted to show she could be stronger than All-Might and have him praise her. But well... that failed... All-for-Shigaraki is just too powerful But how many Quirks has Shigaraki lost? They said his quirks were being destroyed by New Order, and New Order killed itself afterwards. But judging by how fast he was recovering, sprout wings, fired off EMP and get most of his outer skin back when he barged into that building... he hasn't lost his most powerful quirks yet. . 07 Stars, I am sure All-Might would have loved to meet you again. |

| @akaishanks97 I think you mistook my meaning. I was talking about what happened way after her showdown. They said that every country basically kept their heroes to themselves but what if they sent teams to one by one get control in every country while the stronger heroes protected the land from threats while the others were out? this is why you don't unnecessarily quote someone using absolutely no context and only a small part of a sentence. |

| To this day, I haven't forgiven Horikoshi for killing one of the most powerful and badass characters. I just wish she was introduced earlier in the story so we could see more of her. |

| Killed off after only two episodes of screen-time? Well, that sure is lame but at least mommy Star-and-Stripe left a huge impact in the narrative after her departure. Shigaraki got somewhat nerfed (I hope) and her sacrifice made everyone's determination to stop him even stronger. Also gotta say that seeing her tearing apart Shigaraki's quirks, one by one, like an enraged gorilla looked metal asf. Pretty good episode overall. So are they gonna retake the "traitor in U.A" storyline next week? Because the preview kinda gave me that vibe. |

| I can see what Horikoshi was trying to do with Star and Stripe, and in one aspect it is brilliant. A hero giving her all to essentially empower the next generation of heroes to take down a massive threat was very cool. However, I felt nothing when she died b/c she was introduced last episode. It would’ve been more impactful if she had more screen time in previous seasons, or maybe if she had met and tutored Deku. Either way, it was a good episode. (8/10) |
| Man, talk about wasted potential. They really needed to build Star and Stripe up better, I felt nothing at her death. The way this was handled, it felt like the writer realized that he made Shigaraki way too strong, and needed a fast excuse to weaken him, so it's believable that our hero's actually have a shot at taking him down. Now this could have worked, if they had actually brough her in as a new character for the season, and we got to know her, either acting as a new mentor for the kids, or even just helping the Japanese government in its operations. Really anything to make her an actual character that we can grow attached to, and to give time to really show how monstrous Shigaraki has become, then after a cour or two, we could have had this final confrontation with Shigaraki, and it could have gone largely the same exact way it did, and been a really badass way for this hero that we've come to know, to go out, severely weakening him, It would be both a scene of loss at her death, but also a scene of hope, realizing how much damage she did to him, and giving our remaining hero's a fighting chance, a sense that they can win, that her sacrifice will matter. The episode on its own was really good, and the way she went out was one of my favorite ways for a hero to go out. It's just hindered by the fact that she wasn't built up as a character at all, we got some foreshadowing of her eventual arrival, bat that's it. Nothing to make me care about her, nothing to make me feel like she deserved to have such an awesome exit. If this had been one of our characters that had been with us for a while, it would have been one of the greatest character deaths of all time in my book. But as it stands, She was just a deus ex machina to fix the writers mistake of making his villain too powerful. It felt cheap. |

| The young Cathleen "Cassie" Bate with her New Order Quirk which doesn't seem anything all that special, she's clearly loved by her comrades regardless. And now, as Star and Stripe, facing Shigaraki who has to always think on his feet to decode her attacks, she chooses the direct approach for him to Decay her straight on the source and steal her Quirk. And although it looks like Shigaraki has won the battle, there is s deadly flaw within stealing her Quirks, being set to revolt against his and All For One's Quirks, knowing that she also had pre-planned this before her ultimate demise. Once again, Shigaraki is intimidated by All Might wherever he goes, and trying to pass off New Order on someone will not work, as she's already made her Quirk a deadend. Together with the American air force that could help All Might and the Heroes conceive Shigaraki's development, not to mention the League of Villains and the Paranormal Liberation Front, there'll be more enemies to face them, as Class 1-A readies for their next act. It's a long fight ahead of them, but Class 1-A is pivotal in Shigaraki and All For One's demise. |

| Some mixed emotions on these opening episodes. Star and Stripe was poorly handled (imo of course), and a damaging character to introduce (again, imo of course), but I do think it is interesting they recognised that Tomura had become too strong and used her as a sort of necessary evil to try and balance him a bit. If it creates a healthier story moving forwards, where the main villain can’t do everything and now isn’t basically immortal, I think this will all be worth it in the end. |
| You really can't make me care about a character that's only existed for a few minutes, but Star and Stripe's energy and charisma is just as overwhelming as OG All Might's. Both episodes have been amazing, and it's looking like it might end up being my highest rated season yet. Edit: Apparently this is my 100th post on this site! Thank you for all the years MAL! <3 |

| Hmmmm so I'm not really keen on the direction this season is going. First we have a supposed "super" hero with an OP move get defeated in episode 2 by an improvised decision and lots of logic restrictions. Second, these restriction made me go back and replay the explanations multiple times in order for me to make sense of it all and I'm still not really buying the result considering additional factors like delays, philosophical definitions of self and so on get mixed in the bag (in short, semantic bullshit). Third, not only the animation but the overall quality seems to have worsened (just look at how that Egyptian hero was portrayed). Fourth, Bakugo is still an agry kid and some people were blurting stuff about his development and whatnot. In short, aside from the episode itself being kinda OK the season from how it started doesn't seem promising at all. |

| Wow I was spoiled by others that Star will die this episode (I'm not a manga reader) but still that was one of the best fights I've seen in MHA tbh. I even teared up when she gave that salute. Impressive. Her quick appearance wasn't in vain. Got chills when child Shigaraki inside All For One said Midoriya's name but I still cannot hate the guy. I just want him be saved, that's all. I am in neither the Heroes or Villains side by this time; I just want a happy ending after all of this |

I guess she took some of his quirks which maybe will have significant plot effects later, but mostly it feels like she was killed so we could set up all the other countries saying "na fuck Japan I guess" |

| It is a shame I can't stand villains with broken, limitless regen, makes everything pointless and boring and turns into absurd power leveling scaling, that was a cool sacrifice with that from the grave debuff I guess. |

| The fight between Star and Stripe and Tomura is excellent, but the outcome is way too predictable. Star and Stripe's flashback is interesting, I would have liked to know more about it. I really hope she makes a reappearance later on. |
| Yoooo!!!!! I saluted back to Star & Stripe. I was clapping before that. Her order to destroy his quirks was legendary. Now that's a thinking hero. She was all brawn, but she thought quickly in battle. I think a hen is in order. Boku no Academia: Star & Stripe or something. I wonder how many will get destroyed before he gives it away and if the order to destroy All For One will still be in effect. It would be hilarious, poor writing, but hilarious if he wound up giving it to All Might. edit: I got so damned excited that I thought that episode ended. I had to go back and watch it. ROFL She sacrificed everything. Still, great show. Glad he couldn't give it to a murderer. |

| The fight between Shigaraki and Stars and Stripes continoues on. The strategy of using new order to creat a giant version of herself along with using the lasers to hold Shigaraki down was a smart idea and it would have worked if she couldve held him down well touching the missles. Though in the end Stars and Stripes was no match for Shigaraki the amount of quirks he has along with how smart he is in the heat of battle, he was just to strong. As shown when he hid underground from the missles. Though Stars and Stripes had plenty of moments showing shes one hell of an amazing hero herself, she almost had him it was just the limitations of her quirk along with having to let go of holding Shigaraki down. She had a very smart idea imposing the rule about new order destroying other quirks which almost worked. I'll honestly miss her alot, her character was amazing, her design was amazing, i liked everything about and she was great well she was here.  |

| Can't say I'm a fan of how this played out. Feels like the author made his villain too strong and couldn't figure out a solution with his existing characters so made a throwaway character to 'solve' the issue by weakening him. She was such a cool character too, what a waste. |
| So I waited since ending of season 6 for Star and now she dies during the second episode lol. Imagine being the strongest and dying like that. Pretty disappointed. |
| Can we all just agree Tomura got annihilated because America send more than a single destroyers worth of cruise missiles? Like, how cheap can you get? I struggle to accept we just got a cool character like Star only to lose her immediately in the next episode. Same with the international heroes we are now probably not going to see in action. I feel a bit cucked here. When we got that mini recap I remembered this show has been going on for 8 years now. Crazy, to me its somehow still "the new shounen". PS: Star could have probably healed OFA with her quirk right? |

| Wtf was the point of introducing her just to kill her off right away? Should have had her long before to give this more meaning and impact. I know only the shounen hero should beat the villain, but this could have been handled differently. |
