Ah, I remember not liking kanbaru's arc in second season so much. It's not bad, just not so interesting. So not interesting that I can't remember what it was about in details, haha.

Hanekawa's a mess, to say the least. I just really liked the fact that she changed, it's really a positive viewpoint on people who struggle with mental illness. She also saved herself, that's an important theme of monogatari. By letting go of her self-destructive copping mechanism, she really grows as a person.

Did you like the opening, chocolate insomnia?
Usapz Jun 4, 9:35 AM
Yeah, Hanekawa actually has big anger issues that she’s trying to repress. That’s what the tiger is supposed to represent, all her rage. I think Hanekawa tries to be perfect in the japanese way, meaning not seeking attention to herself and always going on the same way as others. She ironicly fails to be perfect in the japanese way, since she is too good at everything and makes everyone notice her. Later on, she realizes that, yes she’s in the top of her school, but there are still people smarter than her, like ougi, and still has challenges to overcome, like finding oshino. That makes her more human and release her from a lot of pressure (at least that’s my interpretation)

Yes kanbaru is super funny, and she has one of the best dialogue in the entire series with shinobu. The hair cutting thing represents character growth I think, but its a bit overused.

Well, a huge part of Hanekawa’s character is that she wants to be the “perfect girl”, that nobody notices and that burdens no one. Of course, she’s annoying because of that, I understand. The worst part is that she tries so much to be perfect that she ends up being noticed by others for her perfection. You’ll see she has a discussion with gaen (or maybe you have already seen the scene) where gaen tells her: you’re not special and I know you love to hear that.

I totally agree with you on nekomonogatari black: its really boring compared to the other seasons. I do really like Hanekawa as a character, tho, shes not one of my favourite. I think her family situation is pretty sad. If you haven’t noticed yet, one of the main themes of monogatari is family, which is a great plus to me.

Also, the second season starts with another Hanekawa arc (the last one), but from my memories shiro is better than kuro, since it offers real progression to Hanekawa’s character. After this arc, you’ll get to the nadeko medusa arc or another mayoi arc (I can’t remember sorry). As a whole, monogatari’s second season is super good and highly rated on MAL, so it should be a good watch.

There’ll be a lot more of shinobu of course, (Donuts!)

Yeah, I’m from algeria! It sure is a warm country, the heat can get to 55 degrees celcius, which is insane.

Nadeko snake’s opening, renai circulation surely is insanely popular. I’m excited about you watching nadeko medusa, for its opening, mousou express, which is a darker version of renai circulation.

YES, Kaiki's theme is so catchy, it's incredible. That's something I really like about Monogatari series: the soundtrack. I know I'm going back to Algeria for like 3 weeks during the summer, and my grandparents from both side of the family are coming here to Canada too.
Usapz May 22, 5:16 AM
Well, kagenui and ononoki will come back in tsukimonogatari, but I won't spoil you. In Canada we have like from the 19th of june to the 20th something of august of days off for summer. It's like 10 weeks of vacation, which is really cool.

Yeah, kaiki is really hard to understand. In monogatari second season tho, he says some pretty clever things I think.
Usapz May 20, 7:15 PM
Take your time, you don't need to speed up. Sometimes monogatari dialogues are so weird and cryptic, enough so that they could have given me a headache, hence why I think it's important to watch monogatari at the pace that suits you. I really like nisemonogatari, because that's the season that introduces Ononoki. I love her doll aesthetic a lot, she's one of my favourite mono character.

I have been doing great, time has been flying super fast these days, it's almost the end of the school year (finally)!

So, after all this time, are you still enjoying monogatari? Have you seen the new pv's of the monster and off season? I think they're pretty cool.

At first, I thought he had deleted me, but then I searched for people who had talked to him and saw that he had disappeared from everything. I hope he's okay
GioDesTroyULTRA Feb 21, 8:38 PM
Hello, a MyAnimeList user that you and I were chatting with, who had the picture of Holo from Spice and Wolf, has suddenly disappeared. It seems he deleted his account. Do you know what happened to him?
Usapz Feb 12, 5:03 PM
Wow, the last sentence really felt like something deep haha. But I really enjoy talking to you!, tell me when there's anything new
Usapz Feb 10, 7:14 PM
Wtf im so sorry everything has been so hectic lately I totally forgot about MAL.

Yeah, it was also the first longer anime I've watched. I remember dropping it because I grew older while watching the anime and it didn't feel like the same.

I feel a little scared abt growing up since evryone prefer their teenage years over their their adult life. I hope it's not that bad, really.

Well, any skill that involves repetitive movements of the wrist, like playing an instrument or drawing, increases the risk of carpal tunnel. Which causes wrist pain.

Fairy tail!! Remember reading and watching this series when I was younger. Zereph (if I remember his name correctly) was definitly my favourite character. My memories of this time are still blurry, but my FT definitly was a big favourite for my friends and I.

Oh really? I hope finding a job in Germany isn't too hard, I'm still young, but financial issues seems like such a burden. Watching anime should definitly come after finding a good job that satisfies your standards! I wish you the best outcome for this hard situation!
