But yeah I see but I don't really think that's what I wanted to say, like : cute boys doing cute things would be weird because in CGDCT there is some expressions, an art-style, a character design that wouldn't fit for boys casts. For badass full girls casts, I don't know if they exists because it's more balanced ( and it's good that way ), and that's why I'm asking why only CGDCT works so much, and in both demographics If you want full blown female casts, any mahou shojo anime would do. The ones you pointed out are predominantly female, but Symphogear is a full blown female cast of chicks kicking butt, also Cross Ange, Bubblegum Crisis, Mai-Hime etc. You just gotta watch more anime, what you are searching is out there. So you want specifically CGDCT with action battles in it? Then watch Girls und Panzer or any military loli focused anime like Stroke Witches and the bunch, or Princess Principle or smt. You keep insisting how there aren't any anime with: For badass full girls casts, I don't know if they exists because it's more balanced ( and it's good that way ), and that's why I'm asking why only CGDCT works so much, and in both demographics and I am pointing out how there are plenty if you look for it. But if you mean that you want a CGDCT anime but with boys, there is only like one of such a thing that I know off and it is a mahaou shojo parody but with bishonens. There is also Free. Dunno, honestly, there are a lot of sports anime that will fit what you are describing and looking for. |

Truthfully, yes, i would definitely watch it if it was with a balanced cast of characters or even better, an all male cast! I think i already watched some that could classify as such (ie: Boku no Tonari ni Ankoku Hakaishin ga Imasu.) but they are very rare. cythraul said: It won't be a CGDCT then. Such anime with all male casts are usually heavily aimed at females hence not for everyone. About CGDCT, Such anime with all female casts are usually heavily aimed at males hence not for everyone. :) -Ecliptix- said: Maybe? I would have to see one that is as good as Non Non Biyori. I don't think I would enjoy one spewing cuteness like GochiUsa. Kind of funny when you think an anime portraying male cuteness like an all male GochiUsa or something similar would still with out a doubt be voiced by an all female cast. Also the other issue is that most boys that are cute in anime are often borderline traps if not totally traps and regardless of that are most definitely very effeminate. I think there might be too many stereotypes and people not willing to even try something of the sort. Not necessarily to be voiced by a female cast, all the tantou swords in Touken Ranbu are voiced entirely by male seiyuu, yes, even Midare. Also "cute" is subjective, there can be cute males without being borderline traps or traps, just look at the boys in Uchi Tama?! Uchi no Tama Shirimasen ka? for example. GamerDLM said: It's inherently much harder for a cast of all boys to hinge on a "cuteness" factor in the same way cgdct shows do. Usually it requires a balanced cast to bring out that aspect like Acchi Kocchi or Tanaka-kun comes to mind. Since all male casts tend to focus on a pretty boy aspect opposed to a cuteness aspect (because they're targeted at female audiences generally ie. Free or Meganebu). But also probably the most famous example of this idea would be Hetalia which I haven't watched but probably will eventually. Hmm, yes, but Touken Ranbu manages to have both of these aspects, in fact, you can pretty much find every sort of male aspect in there lol. Nemo_Niemand said: When they learn how to make boys cute and interesting, not just wooden bishounen clones of each other, as it usually happens. As if a lot of anime girls, especially those in these so called moe/CGDCT anime aren't carbon copies of each other hmmm..... the hypocrisy is strong here.
