Bro, stop. I'm not looking for recommandation. You didn't understand the point of what I said

You keep insisting how there aren't any anime with:
For badass full girls casts, I don't know if they exists because it's more balanced ( and it's good that way ), and that's why I'm asking why only CGDCT works so much, and in both demographics

and I am pointing out how there are plenty if you look for it.

But if you mean that you want a CGDCT anime but with boys, there is only like one of such a thing that I know off and it is a mahaou shojo parody but with bishonens. There is also Free. Dunno, honestly, there are a lot of sports anime that will fit what you are describing and looking for.

No, they just backtracked when you proved them wrong about there not being any badass full female cast shows, they should've went all in and talked about how Genjuurou is male and badass in Symphogear, would've been more entertaining.

Imagine comparing NGE to those childish anime made for pedophiles lol you're weird af for thinking they're even remotely similar.

Evangelion sexualizes freaking 14-year-old characters, that's a lower bar than most CGDCT shows. Again, be more self-aware. Because I haven't even tried to go further through your list, and I certainly could.

Never said it makes someone a pedophile. But it's no surprise why there are a lot of anime fans that ARE pedophiles. Because you watch shows like that and develop an attraction to little girls. You even have people like The Anime Man and Digibro calling little girls their waifus. This community is pathetic.
I do get what you mean, the community's a massive red flag. However, there's a fine line separating sexualization of a character and saying a character is cute. The way you're saying it seems like you're implying people who watch cgdct are pedos in general. I mean, people who don't sexualize characters still exist in the community no? There are those who watch cgdct for the lols and there are those who want to digest something light-hearted. Nothing too shabby. Now if you watch mitsuboshi colors and see kotoha in a suggestive way, entirely different from how other people normally see her, then you're sus af. But if people say she's cute(nothing sexual) and makes the show a lot funnier, wouldn't you just be accusing them of something they're actually not?

Truthfully, yes, i would definitely watch it if it was with a balanced cast of characters or even better, an all male cast!

I think i already watched some that could classify as such (ie: Boku no Tonari ni Ankoku Hakaishin ga Imasu.) but they are very rare.

cythraul said:
It won't be a CGDCT then. Such anime with all male casts are usually heavily aimed at females hence not for everyone.

-Ecliptix- said:
Maybe? I would have to see one that is as good as Non Non Biyori. I don't think I would enjoy one spewing cuteness like GochiUsa.

Kind of funny when you think an anime portraying male cuteness like an all male GochiUsa or something similar would still with out a doubt be voiced by an all female cast. Also the other issue is that most boys that are cute in anime are often borderline traps if not totally traps and regardless of that are most definitely very effeminate. I think there might be too many stereotypes and people not willing to even try something of the sort.

Not necessarily to be voiced by a female cast, all the tantou swords in Touken Ranbu are voiced entirely by male seiyuu, yes, even Midare.

Also "cute" is subjective, there can be cute males without being borderline traps or traps, just look at the boys in Uchi Tama?! Uchi no Tama Shirimasen ka? for example.

GamerDLM said:
It's inherently much harder for a cast of all boys to hinge on a "cuteness" factor in the same way cgdct shows do. Usually it requires a balanced cast to bring out that aspect like Acchi Kocchi or Tanaka-kun comes to mind. Since all male casts tend to focus on a pretty boy aspect opposed to a cuteness aspect (because they're targeted at female audiences generally ie. Free or Meganebu).

But also probably the most famous example of this idea would be Hetalia which I haven't watched but probably will eventually.

Hmm, yes, but Touken Ranbu manages to have both of these aspects, in fact, you can pretty much find every sort of male aspect in there lol.

Yes, as a fan of SoL I'd even prefer an all-boys version at this point as I have already seen my fair share of all-girl cast SoL and want some breath of fresh hair. There really is very few CBDCT, and even less that I'd consider to be a close parallel.

  • Some people said Tanaka-kun but somehow forgot main cast besides Tanaka and Ōta are all girls.
  • Idol stuff I'd argue doesn't work either due to the protagonist. Same with reverse harem
  • Free!! feels a tad too eventful for the title, I've always imagined CGDCT as more tackling the mundanities of life in a tasteful fashion, instead of high-stakes stuff. If Free counts, then Keijo would too, which I didn't see anyone refer to it that way ever.
  • Nichibros, well frankly I don't think they're good-looking enough. If something like Cromartie High School isn't invoked I see no reason why Nichibros should.

I think the closest there is to guy counterpart of CGDCT is probably Kimi to Boku, Tsuritama, and Meganebu

This, plus I don't think it is intended to be cute at all. It is a parody of the genre and it doesn't take the cute factor seriously at all.

I mentioned Free! but I know it's not CBDCT. It is a spokon and character drama. However I mentioned it because in its quiet moments it sort of embodies the mood of these kinds of shows. Particularly when the focus is on Nagisa or Rei.

It does conflict with the vibe I think. Adding romance to SoL makes it a romance anime and hence takes away the kinda casual nature of the show. CGDCT itself isn't exclusively a genre but rather a term used to describe a certain type of shows. Although I would add that yuri romances usually don't conflict with CGDCT but only hetero romances do.
