If you never had to adjust the tracking or wait for one of these to rewind, I don't respect your struggles. Your struggle is sh*t.

Interesting that you had a pet dino. Did your family breed them? I've heard that they went extinct in the wild around 65 million B.C.

Cool!

I still have a Toronto Blue Jays pencil that I've had since the first grade.

I guess it kind of does. Mostly just reminds me how old I am, and how I should be doing some things before it's too late.

I do have some nice childhood memories like watching episodes of Hamtaro multiple times on videocassette. I didn't have cable, so the only way I could watch TV was on video. I also liked Winnie the Pooh.
At school I remember having "geometry sets" that we didn't use until grade 5, but I still had to get a new one every year because I would break the materials. I didn't really start paying attention in school until grade 8 (first year of high school).

I'm born in '83, going back to college.

It's certianly odd when I think than most of my classmates are the same age such as Final Fantasy VI (1996) and Crono Trigger (1995).

It bothers me more than it does them tough. When I tell them ''Yeah, you're the same age as some of my favourite video games'' they just shrug and laugh.

I don't really give a crap, to be honest. People's 20's are pretty much what the teenage years used to be, so I look at 16 or 17-year-olds as little babies running around a playground or something.

Please don't say that. Some of those babies are pregnant with babies too.

protip: age of majority =/= adulthood guys
Historically and cross-culturally, adulthood has been determined primarily by the start of puberty (the appearance of secondary sex characteristics such as menstruation in women, ejaculation in men, and pubic hair in both sexes). In the past, a person usually moved from the status of child directly to the status of adult, often with this shift being marked by some type of coming-of-age test or ceremony.

I don't think you were really a 90s kid if you were born after 1993 or so. I just find it weird when someone born in 1995 says they're a "90s kid" when they would have been pretty much a baby and a very young child during that time, how much could you actually remember from then really?

I think the "real" 90s kids are the ones born in the very early 90s (1990 , 1991) or especially if they were born in the 80's for example, then they would have actually old enough to really appreciate and remember the 90s decade was like, if you get what I'm saying.

For example me being born in 1991 , I'll admit I don't remember that much from that era besides the very late 90s , Like I was only in 3rd grade at the turn of the century ....

I think by 90's kid, it pretty much means being a kid/teen during 2000-2010..

80's kid would mean being a kid/teen during 1990-2000 and so on.

I got my nostalgia goggles on. Let's be nostalgic over shit that we still have today like VHS and coloring crayon sets.

Guys, remember back in the 90s when we grew up with cool shows like Heisei Ultraseven? Kids these days grow up with shit like Ultraman Ginga and call it the best show ever SMH.

Stupidity aside, how is someone growing up weirding people out? It's normal. Keep in mind 90s kids, you grew up just like us too. There's nothing weird about it.

born 1983 here, im old as fuck already and ye i sometimes get that feeling as well, i have seen our neighbors kids grow up, and now some of them even have a family of their own but most are having a hard time making a decent living so they stay with their parents for financial support and a house to live in

the only thing i miss about the (late) 80s and (early) 90s is how cheap everything was, the world economy at those times are still good even here in a developing country, and you can easily get hired on a job, well i just observed it from adults of those times

I mostly remember fashion trends and toys from the late 90's, since I was still a kid at that time.

flared trousers, batik dye, choker necklaces, playing 'snake' on the Nokia 3310..

Then there was the Gameboy, everyone played Pokémon in my class.
I had Pkmn and Sailor Moon sticker albums. <3

The nostalgia~ xD

Oh, and yes: it's weird how the 2000's kids are becoming adults already.

Adulthood is a social construct, not a real thing. Age defined by numbers is too.
