| A SEQUEL TO STEINS;GATE!!?? I haven't watch the film yet but the first TV series is PERFECT and I don't think sequels are needed. If it is just as amazing though, then I'll be beyond happy. This could go either way. Excited but also very nervous. |

I think it's concluded nicely already though, at this rate it's just going to end up like those Higurashi OVA's they did well after Kai that extend the story and characters well beyond what is necessary and just end up being kind of trashy fanservice. Anyway I'm surprise more of MAL isn't losing it's minds over this news. This is pretty much held up as one of if not the all time greatest anime TV series by this sites users. Liked most of the characters and the concepts and the slow burn for the first 10 or so episodes actually worked since it doesn't overdo it to the ridiculous degree some of the other 5pb. semi-colon series VN's do like say Robotic;Notes which slow burns the crap out of the first 8-9 episodes only to rush some sort of crisis ending in the last few and fail to properly develop the scenario and cast. That said I'm really not sure what tips the scales into all time masterpiece level for MAL when it comes to Steins;Gate unless just the mere idea of a competently told/paced story that happens to have waifus is enough nowadays. I mean the site does have a tremendous bias towards VN/LN stuff like most of the anime community nowadays and many of them are honestly kind of really bad, so the idea of one being pretty good is I guess monumental to some degree. |

| As someone said earlier I doubt this is really a sequel if it's in the Beta world line. It may take place in a later time period but it's not a continuation of the original end. I think that's definitely a good thing though because the ending of the original series was great, the movie was already pushing things as it was. Personally I'm much happier about this than an actual sequel, looking forward to seeing the stuff that happens in this world. |

| kitaaaaaa!11!~ wwww (^o^)/ Blew my mind when I first saw this, then I restrained myself when I remembered the movie and how it didn't resonate with me as strongly as the original series. But taking a closer look it has the potential. Apparently from what I've seen so far it is the aftermath of ep 23 where Okabe gives up trying to save Kurisu. So it'll be set sometime around WW3 with Kurisu dead and the gang trying to save Kurisu and prevent WW3! What's going to happen? Is it going to live up to the masterpiece that is the original series? I'm pretty excited to see what's in store. |
