I think that the series has its problems too, the main one is the writing of certain scenes so that at some point the main case just stopped interesting me completely, I felt utterly detached, and the only reason that made me continue was that I wanted to know what would happen to the characters which, by the way, I found really bland and boring in the movie (I think I have to rewatch the movie after 2nd GIG lol), so I had some prejudice against them. But the best episodes were the ones about the Tachikoma! All in all, great anime with great music. |

So, my expectations where high and the chosen movie did not disappoint me. I was truly surprised again by the ingenious screenwriter Satoshi Kon, since the actual story is a very plain one, but the intense way of story telling on different levels made it a very unique experience at the same time. I totally get why my partner gave it a 10, and I will certainly check his other 10's out. Hoooowwwever, it is not my favorite of Satoshi Kon, and my way of rating between a 9 and a 10 depends on my ''wow'' feels (read WOOAAAWDAOJAPSNSDJKIWIW(10) or WOW(9) hihi). |

It's very hard to enjoy a show when you really don't like the MC, which is how I felt with Edward. The only characters I liked were Riza and Mustang. I thought parts of the show were way too slow and that overall, the show was too predictable. The comedy also didn't work for me at all. I heard that the older version was more serious in tone, so I may enjoy that one more. Perhaps I may raise the score as time goes on, but I can't see myself going higher than a 6. |
