I do know ray chase will be the main antagonist which is sweet cause that guy is an amazing va thats been getting loads of eork cause of his range and acting ability. Hes most notable for being noctis but hes basically getting roles in everything. Also fair warning, shit really doesnt get real till season 2. All the darker moments in s1 are lightweight in comparison to the chaos that ensurs later. I have to say that the saddest character death for me personally was still in season 1 though. |

Hanayo, Kotori, and Honoka should be deleted tbh.Speaking of Love Live (keep in mind that I only base this on my µ's experience, as I haven't seen Sunshine yet), I somehow seem to be fonder of Hanayo every time I remember the show. When I watched it initially, she was the most meh character in existence, with Nozomi and Eri being the best girls, but the more I think back, the more I like Hanayo. Such a weird thing. Could it be maturity? And before anyone mentions it, it's not the doujins. If you like any of these 3 you should feel bad and reevaluate your life. |

So I think even from a story perspective it's one of the most relevant and impactful deaths. And personally I mourned him more than any death from season 2 :(. I disagree The only thing he could have talked him out of is teaming up with McGillis's ill-fated revolution. And even that is not a given because, 1, there was a reasonably good expectation of it's success and 2, the series of events immediately after the Mobile Armor debacle compelled them to take a course of action that I doubt even he could have talked them out of. Even if he had talked them out of it it would have been grossly unsatisfying to not go after Iok and Jasley. Also Ima springboard off this to talk more about point 1: I am not opposed with the direction they took with the ending per se. S1 of Gundam 00 ended in a similar manner but I gave that shit a 9/10. Yes technically it's not the same because there was a second season and a movie, but honestly if they had just put together a strong epilogue they could have ended the thing right then and there, 2nd season didn't have to happen and the movie DEFINITELY didn't have to happen. But anyway the point is, my issue with it is one of execution rather than direction. I will say this again because I think it's important: There was a reasonable expectation of success with McGillis's revolution. Of course what comes after that is an open question, but considering what he had done in season 1 and the resources he had at his disposal, that was a battle that he should have won. A lot of my discontent with how it ended stemmed from how poorly he handled everything after he got his hands on Bael. My pet theory remains that he should have dusted off the Alaya-whatever thingy before plugging himself into it cause man there must have been some bad shit in there cause he just went full retard after that. It coincided with a lot of reveals into his backstory so it feels like they kinda overwrote his character from first season. There was no reason for him to be caught off guard by Rustal spamming Dainsleifs during the first battle. Even if we set aside for a moment how somebody was able to sneak one of those massive things onto his ship to begin with, for several episodes prior he had been actively investigating Iok's use of those weapons against the Turbines. How could he not have seen it coming that it might be used against him, and made adequate preparations for it, considering how he had been able to manipulate everyone back in season 1? In the end he had no strategy, no plan, nothing beyond "Get Bael". After that he just sat on his ass and eventually got it handed to him. They wrote in his backstory to explain an almost childish obsession with Bael and the legend that it represents... but for me it's still too disconnected with his actions in S1. It's like a completely different character. Him jobbing Gaelio's death in season 1 was also real wewlad but apparently Gaelio was supposed to actually die in S1 they only brought him back because the writers liked his voice actor... which is an even bigger wewlad. And finally, it's all kinda :girlishehh: when you consider the fact that all he had to do to be successful was wait another 20 years or so until Rustal was too grey to do anything and the show was being run by the likes of Iok and Carta. Would have been literally candy from a baby at that point. That aside I also feel blue-balled on a number of other things: 1. Gundam Flauros, after spending what felt like the bulk of second season being prepped for action, only got to fire its main weapon twice. 2. They ended EVERY SINGLE FIGHT (except for like 1) after the Mobile Armor by spamming an overpowered weapon. Goddamnit it was so overused. All I wanted by the end was a legit last stand and they couldn't even give me that. Julietta "taking the head of the demon" was the most bullshit thing ever because she contributed less to that victory than Iok, the guy who's contributions in any given situation are usually negative. She just let the mooks meatshield the entire fight and then just went in at the very end to pick up the trophy what kind of horseshit is that. 3. Thinking back to that scene at the end of episode 1 of the 1st season this entire season was a real :reee: 4. Oh, and finally, technically not a blue-ball, but Julietta asking Mikasuki why he doesn't just give up at the end was a real headdesk. No shit he doesn't give up, do you remember what Gjallarhorn did to the last guy that tried to surrender? Fuck Rustal straight up said earlier in the season that they'd all just be killed anyway. And you're telling me this is the person tapped to be Rustal's successor? Man fuck this character. I thought they were gonna actually do something with her but in the end she was nothing but muscle. And even then, she played no role in any of the actually important battles. She was almost as pointless as Hush. 5. All that hype for Bael and it ended up accomplishing almost nothing in the end. Didn't even manage to kill Iok with it. And he lost to fucking Gaelio too. Like I get that it was technically a 2v1 but I expected more from a guy with literally nothing to lose at that point. His conversation with Gaelio at the end was very much necessary but it was a fucking limp dick way to go. |

I hope I can blaze through season 2 just as fast, the only reason I decided to prioritize this over Kaiji is because I noticed Crunchyroll had the dub up so I figured it be easier to marathon and I was right. Helps that the dub is pretty good, too. Though i dont think season 2's dub will be out for a while. I have to say that the saddest character death for me personally was still in season 1 though. but nobody of importance died in season 1 I've just been talking with a friend about how shitty Orga is when it comes to politics and how a lot of the disaster of season 2 could have been avoided if Biscuit was still alive to advise on those aspects and maybe steer Tekkadan into a less destructive direction. You keep saying mcgillis should of won due to his actions and resources from S1 but you keep forgetting the ENTIRE reason he lost, was solely cause gaelio exposed him at the most crucial time. Had that not happened he would of gained the full support of the 7 stars and destroyed rustal's fleet. I would complain about mcgillis not killing galeio back in S1 had the show not justified it enough for me by addressing mcgillis hesitation and subconsciously holding back in the 2nd to last episode. Also I still cannot comprehend your problem with the dainslefs simply cause it makes 0 sense for them not to use them. Like A: they are guarenteed powerful weapons and with rustal backed into a corner why would they just hold back for no reason, B: They are basically like chemical weapons, nukes, and so forth, no one wants to use them cause of their destructive power and banned status but once someone uses them first all their oppossition will use them in retaliation. and C:Both mcgillis and rustal were already in shit for using them as a taboo on equal terms of trouble, the issue was the remaining 7 stars factions really had no choice to follow one or the other regardless of the exposed corruption but it was all a matter of who they would follow. The final battle without the As for the julietta complaints, you basically explained the entire point of the defvil killer but missed the intention 100%, she outright admits she never killed mika and cause her entire character development alongside gaelio was understanding those of lower class like tekkadan and feeling genuine regret over their actions towards them.It was gray as shit cause they were more or less innocent but because they worked for mcgillis the single most corrupt and morally in the wrong character in the show, they were guilty by association. And not that doesn't make them actually innocent, if a group aids isis they don't stay innocent they still aided fucking isis. Tekkadan got the shit end of the stick but they 100% deserved what happened to them even if it is unfortunate and tragic cause they against their better judgement aided the wrong horse. It was 2 corrupt factions with the same goal but different ideas of achieving it going at it while the grunts in the fight suffer because of it. The trap is every single thing rustal does that makes him wrong is done by mcgillis as well and by extension tekkadan. Weve had this conversation like 4 times now and it never goes anywhere where we both just restate the same points, its kind of pointless. |

| onto a legit (small) complaint I have with the finale of ibo, this insert song was super wasted, like I guess it kind of worked playing over mourning past casualties and events but I just feel like it would of worked better being used somewhere in the epilogue that or just compared to how well used the previous one was from S1 |

I do think McGillis should have suspected that Rustal would use the dainslefs, especially since he was already investigating Iok over their usage. When that then becomes the one thing that completely blew his plans out the door it's kind of a meh note. I think the ending was good overall though. |

JizzyHitler said: Weve had this conversation like 4 times now and it never goes anywhere where we both just restate the same points, its kind of pointless. rejoice jizzy im actually replying this time JizzyHitler said: Again like i said before, alot of your complaints are directly the result of you ignoring key moments that caused events You keep saying mcgillis should of won due to his actions and resources from S1 but you keep forgetting the ENTIRE reason he lost, was solely cause gaelio exposed him at the most crucial time. Ok, 1. He already knew Gaelio was still alive. 2. He admitted to Orga that he knew they might have to fight Arianrhod by themselves. My argument is that it was out of character for him to not be prepared for eventualities he knew may occur. Also technically he would have had the support of the 6 stars, though since 2 of them were literally just background decoration I really think of Gjallarhorn as a 5 star organization. JizzyHitler said: Also I still cannot comprehend your problem with the dainslefs simply cause it makes 0 sense for them not to use them. The final battle without the Because it was egregious in a similar manner to how a lot of Akame ga Kill is egregious. I'm not complaining that they were used at all, I'm complaining that they used it in every single battle to just instantly end it. It's like, oh, shit, well, we're out of airtime, gotta end this battle real quick lets spam some dainsleifs done. Like, using them against the Turbines was unnecessary, as was using them on Mika and Akihiro at the very end since in that situation there was no point drawing it out they could have just used it at the beginning. Hell they could have used it an episode before the finale and just nuked their base from orbit. Also it's not realistically similar to a chemical or nuclear weapon; the best analogy to my mind is the tactical nuke killstreak reward from the later MW games. Who actually thinks that shit is a good game mechanic? And finally at no point was Rustal was "backed into a corner". Arianrhod outnumbered McGillis's forces. Plus he took over Carta's fleet, which isn't exactly an elite formation. JizzyHitler said: As for the julietta complaints, you basically explained the entire point of the defvil killer but missed the intention 100%, she outright admits she never killed mika and cause her entire character development alongside gaelio was understanding those of lower class like tekkadan and feeling genuine regret over their actions towards them. JizzyHitler said: And not that doesn't make them actually innocent, if a group aids isis they don't stay innocent they still aided fucking isis. | Oh yea and one more thing on Dainsleifs: WW1 was kind of a free for all but in WW2 there were a lot of weapons that nobody used because they didn't want it used against them; Both the germans and the british developed chaff, but the germans didn't use it because they suspected the brits had it and didn't want it used against them. Nobody used gas at all (aside from the piece of shit japs who only used it against people they knew couldn't gas them back). The difference here is: Only Rustal had them. And so it became ridiculously one sided, because he could spam them and instantly decide any battle with no possibility of retribution or defeat. It feels fuckin cheap is what. The ending for me would have been a lot more satisfying if they had defeated McGillis through some other means. At no point did Rustal out-fight or out-manouvre anyone. They didn't even crush them with sheer numbers. They just spammed Dainsleifs. Every. Single. Time. It was a far cry from the tit-for-tat that McGillis had going on with Rustal for most of second season up to that point. Like, do you see why it leaves me feeling unsatisfied? I have no issue with the weapon itself, I take issue with how it's used as an autowin tool because only Rustal had them. If even McGillis/Tekkadan had more than one of the things, I wouldn't be complaining. For that reason, the fact that McGillis had been investigating Iok for using them yet had no countermeasure prepared for them just really rubs me the wrong way. |

| Eeeeh? I expected Infinity's appearance to be an endgame development in Fresh Precure! since filling the Misfortune Gauge to force Infinity to reveal itself was the basis behind the entire monster-of-the-week format for the show. I do feel good about predicting what Infinity was, though. The hinting was much much more subtle than the hinting toward the conclusion of Eas's arc. :3 If Fresh doesn't convert into the girls immediately getting Infinity and the villains spending the rest of the show until the finale trying to retrieve it, that would definitely grab my attention. |
