So the first segment of the beginning is Madoka's dream and I have not tried the game yet but the vibe feels really similar to Bakemonogatori and I find it really cool with a hint of mystery, also loving the surrounding b & w and city properties getting destroyed to the deed. Then Homura is introduced in her dreams and looks like she's trying to overcome the natural disaster while Madoka is just an innocent looking girl trying to have fate and take the privilege of having the power in herself to avoid all the tragedy happening in her current state and that strike flashback reminds me of Vanitas No Carte where those things that bothers the characters are bringing up burden against their minds and stuff. I like the OP, it seems to have a lot of things going on that could put up a meaning while I discover this series until the end. Once in a modern looking house, Madoka is awake and looks as natural as a cute and discipline child when waking her mom up, brushing her teeth correctly, and her mom seems putting Madoka in love stake :P
Honestly it would be more satisfying if the little child managed to pop the tomato and the juices started coming out. Madoka started her school life with her fellow friends and they just casually compliment one another and talking about love :P Lol Madoka's teacher is so hilarious "When frying an egg, should it be fried sunny side-up or over hard" I totally lost it but anyone could fry an egg just like how they preference it anyways but the teacher is talking about it gender wise that can be a subjective stereotypical opinion xD Homura is essentially the madonna of the class with her disciplinary and mature position and as per usual, anyone like her would leave people in confusion or fantasizing just like in Komi-san but anyways Madoka seems to get flashback when Homura appears and their interaction seems to give some uncanny moments as Homura is more objective and serious with her response. Homura asks Madoka about her current life consideration and Madoka seems to fulfill those already and changing would be very difficult as a person, even irl aftermath through difficult situations. Homura is intelligent in every subject, what a contender she is in this school that the rarity of being a perfectionist is near possible without dedication and effort, really appreciated that Homura have already achieved those two strands. Honestly I can relate and it has happened to myself when Madoka feared every-time an intelligent person glares at her so seriously it's almost like they consider everyone as an opponent or something. While the girls were talking in some restaurant, it made me wonder how Homura's existence appears in Madoka's dream, but definitely Homura is some kind of unusual character in this case since they both have never met before physically but could be that the dream is true after all.
A mysterious looking Kyuubey started running from a pink shooting and a mysterious girl appeared, wondering who that could be. Madoka and one of her classmate Sayaka went to a CD place and Madoka suddenly hears unknown girl voice that's screaming for help, the darkness and anxiety is being shown quite mysteriously and Kyuubey was the one who is injured, poor him but Homura told Madoka to get away from it but Sayaka was able to save Madoka, I wonder what's with those butterflies signaling and showing visually in the background while Homura is caught by it, the surrounding while Sayaka and Madoka continues to get out of the place started to be surrounded by many symbolisms with so many hidden meanings but with my -1 brain cell, this for sure is going to be one dark of a series, just look at how terrifying the unusual surrounding, even a mustache can make a noise and overall everything is playing out unconsciously, I like the aesthetic of it though. I can't wait to Mami because her entrance was beautiful and her magical ability looks really astonishing, she manages to save Madoka and Sayaka and Homura is one character I kind of dislike because she's sounding like she has the privilege to do anything to save natural disasters and such but then again, she's quite of an interesting character so I'll just see how she'll develop later on in this series. In the end, Mami with her healer ability was able to cure Kyuubey and Kyuubey himself wants to make a contract with both Madoka and Sayaka, leading to becoming magical girls! Madoka's VA singing the ED is very classic and I like it. Overall great episode, I can't wait to see perhaps any cute and epic moments between these magical girls!
